I keep two water bottles at work, one in the fridge. I love water, and I like it cold. If I work out in the morning, I have drank most of a quart before even starting my day. Then another quart in the afternoon, and a few more glasses with dinner and evening, a glass after dinner with my supplements. It depends upon the weather and if I work out but 6 cups a day is easy for me.Sometimes I mix it up with iced tea, crystal light, and OCCASIONALLY a diet soda.

I drink 16 oz before I can have coffee in the morning, and the rest throughout the day at work. I have to walk upstairs to the water and ice machine ( and also to go potty) so I get a little extra exercise too. Drink up!

I have my morning coffee - and then I don't get anything else until I finish my water for the day.

Two things I have found that help me - 1) drinking through a straw (go figure) and 2) I brought a large (20 oz) cup from Petsmart. Basically, it's a cute cup and I like having it on my desk all day.

As long as I was drinking caffeine (I used to go through 2 POTS of coffee per day), I couldn't drink water. I've cut the caffeine and now the water is fine.

Also, if you need to flavor your water that Propel Zero is pretty good without calories and no azpertaine (however you spell that sweetener).

The only way that I will drink water is if it has been in the fridge. Usually I won't drink water, but I've been trying to drink at least 2 bottles a day because I need to stay away from soda.

I like lemon in my water, but for a change of pace sometimes I use cucumber slices instead.

i really struggle with all the water too. Crystal light was a huge help but then my dentist said it is horrible for your teeth (contains some acid that eats the enamel!)
I have bought a large water bottle and keep it with me at all times and chewing gum helps when i need some flavor.

I struggle with water on and off. I am trying very hard now to drink only water at work and can manage at least 40oz that way. The rest I have to really make an effort to drink but tracking it makes me think about it and remember when I don't get enough in.

I hate the taste of water, and haven't found anything to add to it to make it better. I have been drinking Crystal Lite defaff tea, but it has aspartame and I know that is not good for me. At least I have managed to stop drinking coke. Every once in a while, I try a coke and it is just too sweet for me now. I wish brownies were too sweet now. emoticon

I have a great waterbottle (Camelbak with straw) and it makes drinking water fun! Whenever I am bored in class I just down a bottle of water. It makes getting my eight cups a day easy! :)

I also have trouble drinking enough water. I can get 4 or 5 8oz servings but it takes work. I don't usually have anything with breakfast (milk from my cereal is all I usually want). I'll try and drink 2 or 3 servings during/after I exercise. Then I try to drink 2 or 3 more servings the rest the day and with dinner. But I haven't really got use to drinking so much yet.

I struggle with drinking water or any other fluids for that matter. I start my day with a diet coke and I know I need to stop but it has been a bad habit for so many years. One 20 0z bottle may last me all day and that may be all I drink for the entire day then I usually drink milk at supper. One of my goals is to cut out the pop and start drinking water.

I drink 80 ounces of water a day. That's 10 glasses. I buy Sam's bottled water at WalMart. The bottles have 20 ounces each. (My doctor told me to drink bottle water, because our water isn't good for me.) I drink one with my Thyroid meds first thing in the morning. One with breakfast & morning. One with lunch & afternoon. One with dinner and evening. Sometimes, I'll even drink a 5th one. It took me about 3 weeks to get used to drinking water, but now, I'd rather drink water than anything else. Stick with it, it gets easier. emoticon

It is really hard to get in all 8 every day. I use a large glass that hold 3 cups and I manage to drink 8 cups total in a day. I'm not sure if 8 cups = 8 glasses but it is plenty enough water to keep me hydrated. ( they say to judge by the color of your pee ) a light or pail yellow is o.k. as is clear. If it is getting dark then you need to drink some.
Also remember that you can get part of that water in what you eat. Veggies, soups ect... can count towards you water goals. Good luck and keep the faith. It all gets easier with time and practice.

Hi Julie: Yep, you will be going to the bathroom a lot at the beginning, but that's okay. When I first started drinking all that water, I had a hard time so I made myself a pitcher of lemon water in the fridge so that at least it has a taste. I now have a 32 oz. bottle that I keep at my desk all day and drink, usually get 6 glasses in at work and 2 glasses during my workout.

Welcome to SP and our team. emoticon
