School is a stressor and finals is the worst! I suggest you pack in some healthy snacks for those late nights. Cut up and prepackage some fruit and veggies. Get some thin pretzel sticks. Buy a box of the 14 calories popsicles. Then when you need to munch in those late hours you won't wreck your diet!

Had another good week last week. After totally overeating last weekend, I did well this week. Also, when we went grocery shopping last night, we bought lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and totally skipped the sweets. It was funny, my 13-year-old kept asking for things like white bread and ice cream, and my 15-year-old kept saying "No, we are eating healthy now." Hooray!

Eeeiii! I am a month into my new lifestyle. I bought a pair of shorts today...and bought a pair in a size smaller than I've worn in...I don't even know how long now. I was so happy I cried. It's nice to have these victories to keep me moving forward!!

Hello all! I had a great week, finished my first 4 weeks down 7 pounds and 4 inches. I finished the 4-week Sparkpeople 10-min challenge, so now I have moved on to the Spring into shape bootcamp challenge. Hope everyone is staying motivated!

What a great week this week! The weather has been so nice here that my family and I have gotten a lot of outside time in the evening. Yesterday, I took a lap around my neighborhood (a 0.7 mile loop) with each of my kids, so I got both a great conversation with each of them plus 2.8 miles in! I really wish I could do that every day

I'm happy with myself. I've managed to stick to my activity and nutrition goals this week. This is just my first week-and-a-half in, but I'm hoping that by having this good start, I can keep the momentum going.

40BY0830 - Good job on daily exercise. That's the way to do it! Keep it up.

BACK2START - Good job on meeting your weight loss goals. Now you can tackle that studying - ha!

DIANE - good plan to reach for water first. Mindless eating always does me in too - that's why I can't keep ANYTHING but water on my desk! Ha!

KYILEI - A whole week without soda is AMAZING! That's a HUGE NSV (non-scale victory).

M0M2BELLA Warmer weather should help many get outdoors and get more fitness minutes. Good job on pushing the soda away and drinking water! Good luck on that weigh-in.

emoticon Sounds like good progress !!

I need to focus more on my eating in the coming week. I find I was eating a little mindlessly last week. Time to rein that in !!

Each time I reach for something to eat today, first I am going to have a glass of water ... then ask myself if I am really hungry.

Good job everyone on your successes this past week! I had a good week. I could have done more studying for classes but as far as my weight loss goals, they were met for the week so I'm happy! emoticon

My first week went great as well. I am glad you had such success KYILEI . I was able to drink most of my waters every day and I only had 2 glasses of diet soda all week. That is a feat in itself ! lol I will have my first weigh in tomorrow morning so I am hoping for a nice loss over night. ha.

I need to get excercise in this week because the weather should be warm enough for the snow to melt!

Hi All - How is everyone doing? I survived the week and nailed one of my fast break goals. the rest, well I have some work to do.

I went the whole week without soda. Thank goodness for those Crystal Light water bottle mixer things. LOVE the peach tea.

How is everyone else doing?
