I started my strength video today
its supposed to be 20 mins but it felt shorter..
time is running faster than me...
it was a little difficult as i could not flow into each motion as my floor space is limited.. had to keep getting up and adjusting my mat hahaha;
But i know most of the exercises.. so i just get on with it..

I love the videos too! It's a great way for me to sneak in a little cardio on my "off" days, or mix up my strength training.

Hiya I'm on a few teams here and i just wanted to share with you all that today was the first day doing the same exercises from coach nicole that i had total body sweat, and a beetroot face too..hahaha...now i know i'm on the right track.. funny how when i first started i didnot sweat at all; i thought maybe the exercise video's are not long enough..
but with all the motivation here and support to keep going on it really looks good to me now..
I do the 10 minute video's as i'm not able to buy the dvd's and i thought they would not give me what the gym used to; but today proved me wrong.. I'm so happy that i found SP; I know and am sure this is a beginning of a healthier life...
Keep on going ALL Sparkers

Don't give up. Sometimes the scales are slow to catch up with all of your hard work. Are you feeling better? Getting stronger? It will happen just keep pushing toward your goals. emoticon

Hi everyone
Well after 2 weeks with trying to meet my calorie & protein goals that SP advize me... i finally lost the half kilo which i had put back on trying to follow advice from SP..
I found it so strange in the beginning when SP kept advicing me i had to eat more calories and protein and fat..
But after reading through the diabetic messages they sent which is sometimes hard to find..(still haven't found my way around SP..haha) i started to realize that one goal i asked was to be able to cut down on my sugar medication..
Then i realized that this diet advice was to get my sugar on track first.. so then i started to seriously try to meet there suggestions with the food i have in house and the few that i can afford..( i still cannot follow the recipe's to the dot because of my finance.. but i try to meet it with what i have).. and this coming week is my sugar control so I'm quite anxious about it and am hoping that this diet has paid off.. even a little.. so i'm keeping my fingers crossed..
I'm so happy for the half kilo gone off again.. and am sticking as much as possible to this routine..
good luck all and congrats for all weight loss..tishaemoticon

Hi Linda,

Too much pressure to achieve goals makes the journey bumpy.

Enjoy the ride and each success along the way with each pound lost and each inch too.

Cheers!!!

Hi & Welcome "Bubblefreak"

Tracking food & exercise is a great way to stay on track.
The scale doesn't always reflect how hard we have worked to lose that pound, perhaps 2 or 3 pounds.

Hello all;

I am new to the group and I have never done any thing like this before. I have a large amount of weight to lose and I am afraid to weigh myself. Been faithful with nutrition log and exercise plan hope this works.

Morning and a new day,

Today is my weigh in day so I will see what the scale says.
My clothes fit looser and I don't feel so big around the middle, I took my ring off so I wouldn't lose it.:)
I have been walking daily and increasing my distance each evening. I love the night walks in my neighbourhood.
Pilates & yoga have made me feel leaner and improves my posture.
I am enjoying my food and share the prep and meal with Rick. (It feels good to have his support.)
Mentally, physically, and emotionally I feel strong.

Lets see what the scale says........1 pound.

Today begins a new week and continuing to create myself.

Debbie

Hello everybody :)

Hey, Mickey_John, I'm all for challenges too. I'm going to be doing a Pedometer Challenge for the rest of February and I was also thinking about creating a Virtual Travels Challenge for myself as well. I'm in the process of setting them up and was planning to start them on Sunday (the 12th). If you, or anybody else, want I can post them here on the Challenges Forum and you can join me :) In the past I have found I do better if I am working towards something (even if it is imaginary) or challenging myself and trying to beat my 'high score' :) I know some of my other teams do a Fitness Minutes Challenge for the month too if you're interested in that.

Hi I'm Mickey.I'm a Homemaker .Its been a week i joined spark people. Its so helpful in tracking the food and fitness. So happy to be here and meeting new people.only problem with me is that i'm not consistent .If i lose 3 lbs this week i become happy and i will munch whatever i want to and then put back all that i lost the very next week.I hope i continue to be motivated and lose 50 lbs.Shall we have a team goal and what are your suggestions?I thought this may help motivate us all and to achieve our goal.

Sorry for posting it twice .I posted it in other thread and i couldn't delete it.Sorry abt that.

Hello! I have that too from time to time, but even then is best if we try to force ourselves meet with other people.. :/
At those periods I meet my friends and relatives mostly at my house or theirs, I don't want to completely avoid it because it is always makes me feel better when I'm with people I love. And can talk with them for everything and feel better.
I like Zilla's idea, you can try to have a goal like that and force yourself do it

It sounds like you're comfortable with just being home, not putting yourself out there open to new experiences or people.
Is it a on-going thing or just a winter thing. Do you feel depressed?
I actually do this to some degree in the winter when it's cold and the days are short.
I think you should make a goal to try something new every week, or at least to get out of the house, call a friend, go to a group fitness event, etc.

I don't know why we tend to do this. Sometimes getting me out of the house is like pulling teeth. I don't know if we get in a routine or something just changes over time. I know people that love to go go go. There is a part of me that would like to until the time comes and then I usually just wanna stay at home.emoticon

i have been hiding away in my house except when i couldn't avoid it until yesterday. i met my best friend since i was 8. we raised our childern together and she helped me through a lot when i had a breakdown. she was more my sister than my own real 5 sisters. i'm glad i went and it was great to see her but i can already feel the tug to stay in my house and avoid getting back into a healthy relationship with someone i love. what is wrong with me?emoticon
