I DID A 5K THIS MORNING! Granted, I had a piece of stuffed-crust (veggie) pizza this morning. But I read that motivation article about working on being "in between" over the holidays instead of all-or-nothing. I may not be doing 100% well, but I'm also not giving up, so it's not an utter loss. Tomorrow I'll do another run to keep it up.

I got back to walking everyday...rain or shine...after a three month respite last spring. In winter I overdid the zoombaing and resistance bands to the point knee and hip pain. Guess I need workout supervision. Doctor said it's just arthritis...bummer. I am considering Curves for some strength training. Just have to find the time.

I have found that cup of low fat Greek yougurt with one tblsp of honey satifies my "I need something sweet" craving. I know honey isn't much better than sugar, but this snack sure beats a Milky Way bar! And I get a good dose of calcium.

I have been drinking an absolute minimum of 8 glasses of water per day and have set goals for both strength and cardio that I've been able to meet.

I had a very stressful weekend and instead of turning it into a bad food situation I worked out. I also chose to eat healthy and drink chamomile tea to calm my nerves down.

What I am proud of is putting a stop to mindless snacking and snacking on empty calories! My favorite go to snack now is carrots n peanut butter yum! Best part is I got that idea right here on spark! emoticon

No candy, doughnuts, cake, cookies, diet or regular soda- since January 28th! I feel great!
I satisfy my sugar cravings with fruit (fresh or dried) and 85% cocoa chocolate (2 squares).

I am in the Mindful Eating Challenge. Today. Today, I had 2 squares of a Lindt
85% cocoa candy bar. I ate it slow and savored every nibble. It was the best!

A couple weeks ago I would have inhaled it and thought, "That didn't even
taste good."

I went out and walked to relieve stress. I also walked on an incline level on my treadmill. I did a Curves and Zumba workout on Thursday . Incorporating more exercise into my routine helps....

Well, the only other person at the gym today was acting strange and talking to himself very suspciously, and the gym is on the second floor without any personnel in sight. Sooo...I wasn't sure about the situation, so I had to leave about 20 minutes into my workout. Then, at 101 degrees and way too much humidity, it was too hot to exercise outside. And then it started pouring at night, when I'd planned to go running.

What's a girl to do?

I danced in my room for a half-hour straight. Then looked for fun workout videos on youtube. It was a great workout! When life gives you lemons...;)

I started the day early with 20 minutes of Core Rhythms. By the way, this has to be one of the most fun workouts I've found for dancing/core. Try it on youtube!

Also, took a 10 minute walk after lunch. And later today I'm hitting the gym for a new endurance routine. Every bit counts!
