I've dropped 6 pounds already since I began this quest on August 4th!
I know that initial loss is the easy part but I'm part way there. Revising my goal to lose even more by my birthday in mid-September.
Now if I can just keep it up. A friend of mine in Facebook often publishes pictures of delicious looking pizza's, cakes, and other tempting delights. I may have to limit what I can see of her's but then again.....need to exist and resist these things (most of the time) here in the real world.
Don't want to be a total fanatic but have mixed in a lot more salads, vegetables and fruits. There are definite pearls of wisdom in the writings/teachings of Joel Fuhrman (he's also done a PBS special or two).
Had my annual physical with the doc and he said I could lose a few pounds. I don't look overweight but......I do want to be at a healthy weight so I'm setting a new goal to drop about 8 pounds from today (my weight does fluctuate over a four pound range - so that's a challenge. I'll need to lose between 6 and 10 pounds) by my birthday in mid-September.
