I'm sorry I missed this post. I'm willing to do either. Pick the day and time, and let me know.

And perhaps put it in an announcement that would go out to everyone's spark mail?

Thanks for the tip! That sounds heavenly, Bravelute :)

How's everyone doing?

I have to say that I've been very unmotivated to get out and move lately. I'm doing fine on my nutrition tracking, and moving some, but not like I was. Good thing is I'm not gaining--however, I do want to continue losing.

So, anyone game for meeting at Anderson Snow park and walk the Suncoast or meeting at the park on Spring Hill Dr. (Veterans, I think?) and walk on their fitness path? We could pick a day and meet there. I can meet most afternoons and evenings Wed. through Friday (as well as most Saturdays).

What do you guys think?

Happy Valentines Day, Everybody!

I have found Cacao Nibs--whole food chocolate. Doesn't seem to set off those cravings that familiar chocolate candy does. It's to chocolate bean chopped up with no other processing done. Only the natural fat that the cacao tree made itself. Still has that wonderful aroma. No sweet taste unless you add something sweet, like a strawberry.

In fact I put strawberries on a tossed salad and sprinkle it with almonds and cacao nibs. Delicious just like that, or with a ittle basalmic vinegar on top.

I found them at the health food store on US 50 West near US 19.

Great on computer and the logging. I've been moving furniture around today and haven't logged anything.

I used to live a lot closer to Zephyrhills/Wesley Chapel and I would go there all the time. The first time I ever walked seven miles I did it there. Now, I'm a bit further north and just don't get there often, if at all. Plus now, I'm closer to the Withlacoochee State Trail which I enjoy, as well as some of the hiking trails that are near it.

I hope the C25k is going well. I need to restart it as well.

Very impressive goal. It is nice that your brother will run with you. I get my 6 year old to run with me occasionally but he doesn't hold up to well either. I'm glad you found the C25k stuff. You can even download the cues to your MP3 player or SmartPhone. I couldn't run a tenth of a mile the first time I started it, but by the end could run the full 3 miles, not very fast, but I'm old (almost 46) and afraid to push myself as far as I might be able to do because I have to be able to take care of my kids when I finished. I used to love to go walking through Flatwoods Park (before kids).

Running behind today. I had to take my mom grocery shopping.

Have a good day.

PS I love that there is a Pasco Hernando Citrus group.

CYNEDRA- My goal is set based on the guidelines to get into the Marines. I am currently able to run, I can run about a quarter mile and then I am so out of breath I walk. I need the endurance build up more then anything. I have never heard on the C25K before. But I looked it up and will be starting it tonight when I go on my nightly run. I currently run with my seven year old little brother because I hate going by myself and he is the only one who will go with me. I know that I run farther and faster when I am with someone else because I am a competitive person. I live right down the road from the Florida Hospital Zephyrhills, running there is a great idea! I also try to go to the dirt trails in Hillsborough county at least once a week to add a little more difficulty and challenge.

I have had a lot of sinus congestion the last few weeks as well. But I just cary a pack of tissues and a small bag with me. I have found that working out outdoors has helped clear up a lot of the congestion.

Wow! That is an impressive goal. I'm still in the walking phase (with an occasional sprint burst here and there).

Good luck, I hope you meet your goal soon :)

Desiree - That is an pretty impressive goal. Most people are happy to be able to run a 5k (3 miles) in 30 minutes with winners usually in 15 minute to 17 minute range unless there are some elite racers running. I've got a few questions for you. Are you able to run at all at the current time? If not, a C25K is the place to start. If you can already run that far, but just not in the time that you want to be able to do it in, interval training is the way to go. You still might want to use the C25k program, but instead of doing walking and the running intervals, do running and then sprinting intervals. I might also suggest using the track at Florida Hospital - Zephyrhills to practice - one of the few places around where you can work on a little bit of hill work without worrying about cars. It will definitely make you faster when you are on flat land.

Hope this helps.

I am unfortunately slacking so far in November as I have a cold that just won't quit draining. Makes it near impossible to breath properly when running, riding. Hopefully, it will get out of my system soon, because it is finally the weather I love for running (unfortunately the extremely slow variety).

Hi! I am just getting back into this after moving up from tampa to zephyrhills.... I am looking to lose a lot of weight and be able to reach a few other goals... my biggest hardest one is running. I need to be able to run 4 miles in 30 minutes flat... Any suggestions is greatly appreciated... if anyone wants to meet up and work out I am all for that!

Hope everyone is having a lovely night and got a good workout in today.

This is the place to say hello, and share your goals. Take your shoes off (I love being barefoot, don't you?) and relax bit if you can.
