Cold All the Time? Here's Help

Do you feel cold even when your home is warm? We can help…

Feeling chilly is a common complaint, especially for women in midlife and beyond but also for some men. Age-related changes, such as slower metabolism and loss of muscle mass, cause the body to produce less heat.

But here is a surprising thing that will help you feel less cold—strength training to build your muscles. Work those muscles out, and you will naturally feel warmer, even on days when you don’t work out. You’ll look more buff, too.

Cold intolerance also can be associated with some health conditions such as underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism), low iron levels and fibromyalgia.If you frequently feel chilly and have other symptoms, such as fatigue, talk to your physician—you could have one of these conditions.

It's all about making good choices in whatever we eat, do or use.

It is easy to create your own non-toxic natural furniture oil. Simply mix in a spray bottle one part fresh lemon juice with two parts olive oil and shake well. Then simply spray onto wood and allow it to soak in for a few minutes and then wipe dry with a soft cloth.

Fiber is essential to aid the digestive system in elimination of toxins and waste. There are 2 kinds of fiber, insoluble and soluble. Both are essential for proper elimination. Soluble fiber is in fruit, beans, peas and oats. Insoluble fiber is in greens, nuts, seeds, beans and skins of grains. Gradually increase your fiber intake to avoid intestinal distress.
