I make sure to read an article a day and read a recipe a day - it allows me to learn new things. I often find myself reading more articles because the daily one sometimes changes and it catches my attention.

I also really enjoy mapping out routes for my walks - if I have some down time I'll go ahead and make a new route for myself :-)

I'm working on joining more groups and following more goals -- I believe if I have more groups to keep up with and more goals to keep track of, I am going to be more apt to keep up with SP and stick with it for the long haul vs. if I simply track food/fitness I'll get bored--- the groups and people in the groups really make this site amazing and interactive!

I'm really trying to force myself to get into the groups. I just have a problem with keeping up with my friends lists AND keeping up with the message boards. Because message boards help you get friends but then you have to keep up with the new ones too. And oh yah, fit in the gym, kids, cleaning, work, and personal time with the spouse. But I figure less FB time and more sparkgroups time.

I spend most of my time inputting my recipes into spark recipes . I make most of my own food , so I used to just try and find something in the data base that sounded similar to track my food. It wasn't working and I wasn't losing weight the way I was before .I'm trying to be more precise in measuring portions and in my cooking. I try and put at least one recipe in every day to get my nutrients and calories accurate. While the weather is still mild I ry and spend as much time outdoors as possible but I know as it cools i'll be indoors more and will be reading blogs and message boards to keep motivated.

For a while there I was crazy about points... but then I found actual friends and teams I LOVE. Now I spend most of my time reading my "friend feed" and commenting on the blogs/updates from there. I almost never go into the threads (like this one!) unless it's a team challenge posting or a topic that really interests me (like this one!). emoticon

I'm CRAZY...I like to get the SparkPoints, so I take a bit of time trying to get up to 100 a day! LOL!!

Other than that, I LOVE to ready success blogs or motivation blogs and blogs with pics...love to hear and see people's transformations, especially those that have/had a load of weight to lose like me!

It doesn't take me all that long to spin the spark wheel or track the food or exercise of the moment.

What I seem to spend the most time doing right now is reading new blogs. I don't bother reading past the first few lines of some (I won't bother reading a whine-fest usually), but there are a lot of people in all sorts of stages of the journey. Reading and cheering on the small steps, the successes, the motivational actions, or just the downright courage and focus of so many helps me keep my own desire to keep up my own journey to healthy and fit.
