I am waiting for Costco to do their roadshow so I can get one. Got turned on by my sister. She used it for everything.

I know a former sparker who bought the Blend-Tec cos of fitting under a counter ......... I still love the Vitamix and will stay w/ it ............. also, my v.mix fits great on counter, cos I have only the base on end of counter ............ and store the pitcher in a cupboard, tht way it is always ready to go ....................

I bought my Vita mix about 5 years ago because we were going through so many blenders (burning out the motors) making smoothies and soups.
My son took my Vita mix so I bought a Blendtec because that is what I found at the local Costco.
They are both WONDERFUL!!
The Blendtec is more compact so it fits under the cabinets on my counter better.
You can't go wrong with either one. They are well worth the investment. And I use mine for other things (like the necessary Margarita!) Does ice like a charm, etc.
There is also a smoothie team here; they constantly debate which is better, Blendtec or Vitamix.
Good luck and let us know what you decide.

I agree!! Nothing can begin to compare to the Vitamix! I keep finding 'new things' I can do in their cookbook ............. I even chop veggies instead of doing by hand! (We used it over and over this weekend!) .......... If yu want to share any ideas, I'm open ................

My husband and I bought a Vitamix last year and love it. We had tried other juicer and heavy duty blender type machines but none can compare to the performance of the Vitamix. We have been away from home for over a month, and bought a GE blender similar to the Bullet to use until we return home. It does not hold a candle to our Vitamix! We use it for smoothies, dips, soups, etc

I've had mine for about a year, and I love it. I really was hesitant to buy it because of the cost, but finally broke down and got it and have not regretted it for one moment. I use mine for smoothies regularly, I also make salsa with it every week, plus I've done frozen yogurt, soups, and I've even juiced with it a few times. Everything comes out as it's supposed to, which I appreciate because I can be a little challenged in the kitchen!

God has blessed me, and I am forever thankful.

I want one, but I am torn between it and the Ninja. Is there that much of a difference other than price?

Thank you to everyone who responded! I'm still pondering :-)
Anyone else care to tell me their Vitamix stories?

We've had one for well over 20 years. I use it about once or twice a month. Never had any trouble with it.

I had one and we didn't use it that much. My son swiped it and he loves it.

I've had mine for about 7 years and I love it! I make green smoothies every day. I bought mine through Vitamix - it was refurbished so it was a little cheaper but had the same warranty as a new one.

I've had the same Vitamix for 20 years now. To date, all I've had to change on it was the rubber sealer of the top. The entire family enjoys it.

I have one and love it. I have a smoothe every morning, great for blending veggies for soup. Dragged my feet because of the cost but it is so worth it. A cookbook from whole foods comes with it

Every day I am on the verge of making slight changes that would make all the difference in my life.

I don't own one, but really wish I did. It's on the family wish list for future purchases. My son and I drink a smoothie almost every day so I think we would use it often.

I have been thinking of getting one, and I would like to know from others who have one, is it really worth it? Do you use it every day? Are there certain recipes in the cookbook or on Spark recipes, where I'd be able to use it? I'd really appreciate some feedback. Thanks!
