CELL, I haven't tried this but after reading RUTHEY's post, I was thinking: my husband uses our bread machine to knead the dough when he makes pizza. I know you can pick up bread machines for next to nothing at yard sales and thrift stores - might be worth a try if only for the kneading feature. Good luck

I use a stand mixer with the paddle first then the bread dough hook to knead it a little. I have a professional mixer because I bake my own bread and needed one that will stand up to a lot of use. Both Black and Decker and Sunbeam make a pretty good stand mixer that is inexpensive.

So last night I made the Meg-herita Pizza. Loved the pesto base & goat cheese combination! This is however my second time TRYING to make the pizza dough. The first time I don't think my water was hot enough. This time I made sure my water was the correct temperature but I still had problems with the dough rising. I baked it anyway - it was edible - but I don't know what I could have done wrong?
I do not have a food processor so I had to mix it together by hand. Has anyone else had issues with this?
