Hi! I'm in Scotland. I have found that I can get most stuff, though not all, and some things I really have to hunt for. I have also found that once I know what an ingredient is (like one of the things I've never heard of before) I can usually substitute quite easily from what I have to hand - and that usually means items and flavours that DH and I prefer anyway. But the book is really great for ideas, even though that maybe makes tracking more difficult.

I am interested in getting the cookbook but have run into a problem before with buying cookbooks from the US as they are full of ingredients I can't get here in New Zealand. Can anyone tell me if there are a lot of specialist/brand name ingredients in it or is it more of a cooking from raw basic ingredents types of receipes?
