When you use the nutrition tracker, click on the Recipes tab. There is a pull down menu called Cookbook Recipes. That's how you would track the nutritional part.
Do you want SparkPoints? You can simply claim to have made ANY recipe for that three points. Even recipes you enter just for you. If you are scrupulously honest, but don't want to go to the trouble of reentering the Cookbook recipe, do a search on something similar and say you made that one. Here's one of the cool things, you can still make that claimed recipe later and still claim the three points on it.
No one is checking up on you. You aren't cheating, just gaming the system.
