I am glad that a solution has been found. Often, it is the case that things taste better after being let set awhile.emoticon

He liked it better as leftovers. It was thicker after being in the refrigerator a couple days.

I love to add evaporated milk to my soups. When I make this soup it comes out very thick.

hmmm, I thought it was thick enough. Maybe you could add some more potatoes for him, or even some more broccoli in the soup?

I found it thick enough, we loved this soup. Even my very picky daughter enjoyed it - as much as my old thick white sauce based one. I wonder if the type of potato or perhaps the size of potato used makes a difference? I think the potato is there to provide that body to the soup

I hope someone knows an answer! I'm wondering if you could add some plain yogurt to make it thicker? That would increase the calories, but with a healthy food?

I didn't think it was runny. My husband wants more of a heavy cream base.

Made this today and it is very good. My husband liked it, but asked if it could be thicker next time. How could I make it thicker (after I take out my portion, of course!)
