I think the book is wrong......Just guessing....... I happened to have it hear at work (trying to find something for dinner). I use this all the time now adding my own extra onion poweder and garlic. BUT in the recipe place on SPARKS here she uses more chili powder and less cumin.........It is
3 t chili powder
1 t ground cumin
1 t red pepper flakes (I use cayenne pepper and not as much, depends on the heat you want).
I use this for one pound of beef.
I see that the book uses TBSP, I'm sure to have it left over for next time. These are seasonings I always have on hand so I just do it as I cook. The book says 1 2/3 per serving so I would think that is per pound. I would flip flop the cumin and chili if you are doing it the book way. You can see what I mean by bringing it up under the recipes here.
Hope this helps!
