I did exactly the same thing yesteday. Goodness only knows why I had so many recipes in my binder that I had never, ever made and likely never would. emoticon Had cleaned my pantry months ago so do not even stock a lot of the "old" ingredients - well guess I should change that to ingredients that do not fit into my healthy eating.

Mine are just like yours emoticon ! I have (I'm almost ashamed to say) a lunch bag with tons of cut out recipes. I have recipes too that are printed pages from SP and online and 4x6 recipe cards as well as 3x5 emoticon ! It's driving me nuts.

So, I went to Barnes and Noble and I got a recipe binder. It has decorated 8.5x11 blank pages so I can print directly on those and then just put them in the binder. It also has on each tabbed section is a pocket so if I'm lazy I can drop the ones I cut out from magazines in there until I decide to type them up.

I think it will be easier to read my recipes too if the're printed instead of handwriting on both sides of the recipe cards. I'll get a link for you and post it if I can of what I bought. I'm not sure this will work but for me, anything is better at this point emoticon

Valerie,
I was thinking the same thing....no to find a binder that will fit my cabinet shelf......

What are you going to use to hold the recipes?
Some of mine are on notecards, some are odd sizes cut from magazines, some are a whole sheet of paper from SparkRecipes.

Blessings,
Heidi

emoticon That is exactly what I intend to do!! I'm sick of the box though and I'm thinking of maybe a 3 ring binder.

Over this Christmas break, I gleaned out my recipe box (which had grown into an overwhelming, totally unmanageable, frustrating sized shoebox!)

Out went any recipes that are absolute no-no's for this pre-diabetic.
Out went the recipes only 1-2 of us liked.
Out went the recipes that just couldn't be remade in a healthy way
Out went the recipes we'd never gotten around to trying
Out went 1/2 or more of the recipes! (My garden boxes got some great free mulch!)

Now my recipe box is a manageable size for when I sit down and plan a week's menu and grocery shopping! All I need is my box, my SparkPeople Cookbook, and SparkRecipes.

Whoohooo, I'm a happy camper!

Blessings,
Heidi
