My cake wasn't so bad, not great but not bad... I also put some frosting on it because the cake (I made some cupcakes as well) wasn't for me. The frosting/icing for the espresso thumbprints tastes great on the cake. I think I'll try coffee instead of tea next time, as well.

I think I'll stick to the tea if I try this, I just can't take to coffee. Bananas are still expensive over here in Australia after the cyclones, but when the price comes down a bit I'll have a shot at this.

Coffee is a great idea! Let us know when you make it again.

That is a good idea. Sometimes we need to experiment to find what suits our taste buds. Coffee is good, if you prefer, there are many flavors to try, and this is also true of teas, chais, lattes etc. I hope you find something you like. Perhaps there may be something other than tea. Have fun!emoticon

I made the "Banana Honey Cake" yesterday and the cake doesn't taste real good.
I added the tea per the directions and I don't like the taste of the tea in the cake.
I think I might make it again sometime and use coffee instead of the tea, I think at least for me it will make it taste better.
