Hey all,

I just got an email from Stepf and she said the cookbook info is correct and that someone will fix the tracker info.

Can't wait to hear how everybody likes the red beans and rice! :)

I think the safe assumption is that the info in the book is correct (what with proofers & editors and going to print and all) as compared to the web (which is always fluid and easily-fixed.)

Thanks all!

There have been issues with this. The previous response was what we were instructed to do as they updated and corrected as needed. However, it is still always possible to take the long route and enter it into the recipe tracker. This is more tedious, but sometimes scheduling makes a difference. I hope you get the answer soon. This looks great to me, and having lived in New Orleans I developed a fondness for the dish. emoticon

I was also planning on making this tonight and have pushed it back until later in the week in hopes of finding out the accurate nutritional information. I emailed Stepf about it earlier this morning -- wasn't sure if she knew of the discrepancy or not -- so I'm hoping she'll have time in the next day or so to respond. :)

Has anyone determined which NI is correct for this recipe (Red Beans & Rice)? I've already used the auto-reply form to report inaccurate NI on the site. But I was planning on making this tonight for dinner. The site info is DOUBLE the calories of the cookbook (not exactly a slight discrepancy.)

Does anyone know which NI is correct? Thanks!
:-)

If you see any issues with the recipes on the site send a message to SP_Stepf and she can make the correction.

We have a small team and it helps when our members let us know when they see issues.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, I remember seeing the discussion as well. Unfortunately it was part of a thread on another topic so it is hard to track down.

One of the suggestions made there was to enter the recipe as a new food and use the info from the cookbook to fill in the calorie/carb/protein/fat/... data. Simple work around until the data gets updated in SparkRecipes.

Unfortunately, that is the part that became my "senior moment". However, I know they did say they are working on it. What you might do is to send a message to Samantha if you don't find it on the boards. Wish I could be of more help. Many are having similar issues. emoticon

I remember this being discussed before on some of the other recipes. I can't remember for certain, but I think it was answered with letting them know which ones so they can fix the recipes. If you followed the cookbook, it is possible to add it in and then track it that way.

Are the ingredients the same? Sometimes a recipe might have a slight variation between the cookbook and the site.

In the Mama's Red Beans & Rice recipe the nutrition info is not the same in book as on site. Which 1 do I use?
