My favourite part is all the tips and tricks that Meg and Stephanie have included in the book.

Can't wait to try out the quinoa/Flax seed pizza dough. It's definitely a real winner.

I just received my cookbook today and was very impressed by the thickness of it and the beautiful illustrations.

Very excited to try out some recipes...I am taking it with us on vacation tomorrow to our timeshare condo near Yosemite and my hubby and I plan to try out a few recipes together.

I love that it interweaves nutrition information for the recipes, so you know WHY you should make these recipes. An old friend was complaining about how hard it is to make sense of all the diets out there, and eating healthy and I told her to get this book, and use a 9-inch plate divided thus: 1/2 veggies/fruits, 1/4 protein, 1/4 grains. She's probably going to buy the book now.

One small action is better than no action.

What's not to love? I love cookbooks. I love to look over all the recipes. But this is more than a cookbook. This breaks down what you need to do in order to make lifelong positive choices. I never knew it could be that easy! Thank you for the cookbook! I can't wait to really start applying it daily!

So far although I know the recipes are fantastic, I still think about the intro and how I now feel that it isn't impossible to shift my food prep so tracking never brings up new surprises.

The make it a meal tips are based on standard serving sizes for the sides and starches (1/2 cup in most cases), plus one serving of the main dish (listed on the recipe).

I'm still looking over the book, so far I love the way it shows the pictures of the recipes. I also like the way you can make it a meal if you want.... i just don't know how much you can eat though when you make it a meal is it a cup or what? Does anyone know? Would love any feedback.

My favorite Chapters are 6 and 8.

My sister paid a visit and for breakfast I prepared again Egg-White Omelet with Spinach and Mushrooms. The omelet turned out beautiful and tasted delicious of course, but I had to have her comments too.

She always gives me tips on cooking and shows me how our Mother used to make our favorite dishes. I really value her comments.

She said I was getting better at cooking, and wanted the recipe. I showed her my SP Cookbook and she is going to order one for herself. She liked it. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I was skimming thought and read the chocolate cake recipe that calls for beets. This morning as I was preparing to bake my favorite chocolate cake recipe I found I didn't have enough sugar - so I took another look and decided to improvise and I mashed up a couple of fresh homegrown beets I had in the fridge and added it to the sugar. It wasn't quite sweet enough so I added about a tablespoon of sugar and it came out. Figured being it was my birthday cake and not one of my children's it would be ok if it didn't come out ok, but it did. Thanks Chef Meg for inspiring me to use the beets! =)

I love the layout and all the other information besides recipes. I already cook a lot and love to cook, but I still really learned a lot....I sat down and read the entire thing. I've had it for 3 days and made 5 recipes already! I like branching out and using different ingredients I've wanted to try but didn't quite no what do with. I've never used bulgar before and that bulgar lentil salad was FANTASTIC! I made it with the maple glazed salmon...sooooo good! Thanks Sparkpeople!

Its a toss up between Chapter 6 Soups & Stews and Chapter 8 Meatless Mains, Pasta & Pizza. Next I'll try the Miso Soup and Three Cheese Macaroni.

I like the organization and flow of the Cookbook. I have most of the ingredients already in my kitchen's pantry for a lot of the recipes. The preparation steps are explained very well.

Good job!

I've browsed through the entire book and I like the recipes of course, especially Chaps: 4 - 8.
There is so much helpful information throughout the entire cookbook, that it will take another reading and a tryout of more recipes. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Can't decide what is my favorite part of the cookbook. I like the recipes, I've made one already and it was delicious, pg 89 - Egg-White Omelet.

For information I like all the tips, notes and descriptions of different foods, herbs etc.

The appendices A - H are very good too. I am new at cooking and the cookbook is my guide.

I've placed my bottle of sesame oil in the fridge. Reorganized by fruits and veggies, and the tomatoes have their own spot on the kitchen counter.

After I try a few more recipes and reread a few chapters, then I think I'll be able to make a better choice on a favorite section. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Looks like it is going to be great! I just really wish the Sat. fat amounts had been put in. Total fat is good to have but there are many variables on what those fats are. It's the same with the emailed recipes. At least there you can get the more detailed info.

I love that it is MORE than a cookbook! I downloaded it to my iPad before getting on an airplane and ended up reading nearly the whole thing on the flight! As a lifetime dieter, I thought I knew a lot about nutrition and cooking.... I learned so many things from this book, I couldn't put it down.

I don't have a favorite part just yet. Everything that I have read to date is informative and excellent reading. I'm re-reading Part I, I'm new to cooking and I like the tips and notes - good information for beginners.

I've separated the potatoes from the onions and the onions from the potatoes, they now have their own storage bins.

Kudos to Chef Meg! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I've read Part I Get Ready; Chaps: 1-3
Part II Get Cooking: Chaps: 4-6

The cookbook is easy to read and well written and very organized.

I like the notes, recipes and pictures of recipes are well done. Very appetizing.

My first recipe I'll start with will be Breakfast, pg 89: Egg-White Omelet with Spinach and Mushrooms, as pictured - looks YUMMY!

Kudos to Chef Meg and Stepfanie Romine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I just now recieved mine so I don't know what my favorite part is, but just wanted to say ....WOW!!! emoticon The description online cannot compare to seeing it in person. I am so excited not just to try the recipes, which look delicious, but to read the personal accounts of SP members and all the helpful info on nutrition, hunger, cooking etc.

No comment just yet. Received my cook book today. After a quick review, Appendix G Metric Equivalent Charts (for different types of ingredients i.e., cups, grams , oz) is just wonderful. I'm just learning how to cook for myself and this section will be very helpful. Not having to prepare recipes for a large family, I was always throwing out lots of leftovers.

I'm so excited. Can't wait to prepare one of the new recipes! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I was too impatient to wait for my copy in the mail so I tried three dfiferent stores and none of them hade it! (Fred Meyer, Target and Wal-Mart). Bummer.

I'll have to wait until my husband gets home to try the stores out at the mall. My poor van won't make it out there. Can't wait!

I'm in the process of reading it cover to cover so I'm going to wait to pick a favorite part. I love all the tips that are listed in the cookbook and as I read it, it makes me feel like Chef Meg is in my kitchen telling me all of her best tips and tricks!
