Got my book a few days ago. I have my nose in it alot and really like that its NOT just a lot of recipes. There is information I can use too. I have found a LOT of recipes that I want to try. They all sound so good I can't make up my mind which one to do first.
Being able to see the breakdown of each recipe is important to me too.
I am excited to 'wear my book out' from using it.

I have only begun using the cookbook. As I read the intro material, I really enjoyed the information about cooking techniques. I have put 3 new recipes in my nutrition tracker and tonight I will be using the first one.

The thing I like best is I normally have all ingredients on hand. But I really like that when I don't its easy to substitute something else. I also use the recipes as "inspiration" at times, using my own likes and dislikes. emoticon

Better accuracy in nutrition value on recipes - over SP member's recipes found in general. Have noted many discrepancies in how some members have posted nutrition value on individual foods in their recipes. A few or so's not a problem but when it's way off - emoticon

Also there are some member's recipes found on SP that are DEADLY in calorie count and wonder why they are even posted??? emoticon

I enjoy the way the receipes are broke down it is easier for me to calculate what I need as far as protein and potassium wise which is important to me.

The recipes are freaking awesome! I've had the book less than a week and I've cooked two recipes from it and I've already planned for another two next week. And I've hardly had to buy any extra ingredients.

I love the way it breaks things down for the simple minded people like me. I was definitely a box kind of chef and I hadn't realized there was so many spices and vegetables and ways to cook them and store them and ....I am overwhelmed!

The recipes are so simple. I love that there are a lot of meatless main dishes that I can make for 5 days a week. I have to include the meals with meat on the other days or my husband would have a fit. emoticon

It contains dishes I will actually make. I like the pictures of what it is supposed to look like. the nutritional info is right there and I don't have to look for it. And the serving size is included. I just bought a whole grain cookbook and there is not any serving size for the dishes. I wouldn't have bought it if I had found out before hand.

Love all the veggie recipes. I'm not vegetarian but there are so few calories in veggies that I want to eat them more often. Beans too. Good for you, good source of fiber, economical and easy to pair with other items.

I noticed the general consensus is the "index", I too found it helpful, but what I like is the recipes are for 4 servings ( i cut it in half and have a meal for the next day). The list of ingredients are easy. I have tried many of the recipes and have not been disappointed. Passed them on to others and they agreed they are wonderful. Best investment in a cook book in a long time.
