When I was younger, I used to dance with the best of them. Now as I see videos of me doing Exerbeat or the Just Dance series, I realize that I am just a big old dork. I think I look okay during Boxercise but anything that requires rhythm makes me look a little silly. Thank goodness I don't care about anything but working up a good sweat!

The enthusiastic dancing waitress at Joe’s Crab Shack.
My 16 year old namesake niece has had years of dance training. I do NOT dance like Kenya. A few weeks ago, I kept a promise to her: we went to check out Joe’s…, a seafood restaurant. A few times during the evening some of the wait staff would dance to a popular song. As the Black Eyed Peas’ ’Let’s Get It Started’ played, one particular waitress stood out. Her dancing seemed frantic and a bit off compared to the others, but she was obviously enjoying herself. Kenya’s opinion was that the waitress was “trying too hard.” “That’s how you look when you dance.”, she said to me. Oh, my wounded ego.
And all those times I thought she was laughing at something on her phone when I was working out with Exerbeat. I guess I’m not ready to publicly show my moves just yet. :-)
