I had a great Exerbeat session today. I successfully did Today's Challenge (Hip Hop), turned 2 silver medals to gold in Aerobics, finished my Weekly Challenge goal of 120 minutes a day early and got 20 on my crown. Yay!

I did 3 of the shorter Aerobic routines for warm-up, a 13 minute Latin Dance, 29 minutes of Boxercise, 4 minutes of Karate and a 5 minute Stretching routine - Total time about 57 minutes. I don't do the Latin Dance routines very often - I'm not coordinated enough - but it was a great workout especially for my arms. I was so glad that it was over and I could "rest" doing the Boxercise portion. I still love this game even after all these months...

Peace,

Jeff

It's been a while. I chose fat burning category for 60 minutes. 29 of it was aerobic. Not my favorite. Her cheeriness gets to me, but I was sweating!

Nice to see you Jeff! :-) Why don't you join our hangman game? All you have to do to earn a guess at a letter each day is either 15 mins of Exerbeat, or eat 5 freggies or drink 8 glasses of water. It is an added incentive to keep on track. :-)

It is much easier to use the My Exercises section, isn't it? Saves all those map interruptions until the end of your workout. :-)

I recently discovered the 'My Exercises, part of the game, and fell in love with Exerbeat again. I make a new workout everyday.' Today I did two Aerobics warm-ups, two latin dance warm-ups, then two Boxercise routines, ( I usually do the Combat Workout and a shorter routine), then finished up with some Karate, then two stretching programs. All in all, about 68 minutes of working out. Feels good to be moving again after taking an exercise hiatus and eating binge where I gained back all the weight I had lost previously. But I'm back in control and on track.

Happy day everyone and thanks to all the people for checking up on me!

Peace,
Jeff

I am also a fan of Step to the Beat (Walk it Out) and Hip Hop Abs. I wish that a new Wii fitness game would be released. I still love Exerbeat, but it is time for a new favorite.

I must start actually playing Exerbeat again. I tend to go in waves with different games. I'm currently hooked on my Step to the Beat, plus I just invested in Hip Hop Abs DVDs, which I hope will help me at least get some muscles working in that area. Beachbody is NOT what I'm aiming for, but some kind of strength level in that area would be nice. :-)

I’ve had Exerbeat for almost 2 years, so the way I play has changed. At first, it was all about getting medals; then I wanted to improve in certain things (in turn - Swimming, Pizza Toss, Wall Smasher, Aerobics). I always do the Exerbeat Sparkteam challenges; they keep my interest from waning.

I do the Today’s challenge every day, then more if I’m in the mood. I usually stick to favorites - there are some workouts that are still “New” because I’ve never done them (longer Merengue, Yoga/Pilates).

My best friend, ‘LdyChief’, comes over every Tuesday. We set a weekly goal of 30 - 60 minutes for her; and off we go - laughing and sweating. At my house, she’s made it around twice in about a year. We do other things too, but mostly Exerbeat. It is so much fun to do with another person!

Today, I did a 15 minute Personal Trainer workout so that I could make a guess for Hangman. Later, I was unsuccessful with Today’s challenge of Intermediate Swimming, but I did Wall Smasher a few times and got a Silver medal for Intermediate. All that punching feels great!

Have not used Exerbeat for a couple of days. Planning on fitting it in today. Hopefully, some karate and boxing - favorites! What does everyone else do? Pick only their favorites, random?

It's always good to rediscover the fun in a game. :-) I rarely use my balance board these days, but when I do I enjoy it. Sorry yours is playing up. Hope it can be fixed for you.

I'm hoping to get some weighted gloves or wrist weights tomorrow.

I did the Combat Workout in Boxercising tonight. I forgot how much fun I have doing Exerbeat. It's been 27 days (according to my friend who reminded me!) since I have done an Exerbeat workout. I wore 2 pounds wrist weights on each wrist and that really makes it more challenging. The only reason I put in the Disk for Exerbeat is that my Wii Fit Balance Board is not functioning :( emoticon Since it's still under warranty, I think I can get it repaired for free (hopefully). It's really added a new dimension to my exercises and I miss using it already. Has anyone used their balance board for Exerbeat? I'm curious to hear of your experiences.

Peace,

Jeff emoticon

30 Minutes work out today. I am somewhere near Holland. I also unlocked the Intermediate Dance fever. Heheh A lot of arm work yesterday and today so I am sore! I have never been good at being consistent so I really want to try to keep this going. I bombed my daily challenge today, needed 80% got 60%. I chose a cardio centered workout and they gave me a lot of Boxercise. That really makes you sweat! I feel good :)

Congrats on the 100% Kenya! I usually don't do well at the Daily Challenges that have the HIP HOP in them. Today was no exception. I practiced then took the Daily Challenge and earned 86% on both. I tried my best but when you have no rhythm, it's a foregone conclusion. I did a 20 minute Combo Workout on Boxercise followed by the 25 minute Combat Workout. I was very tired afterwards. It's good to give it your all!

I've split all the sections of all my games and videos into upper, lower, core and aerobic. Then I let random.org choose my exercises. :-)
Today was Upper, and it pulled out, among other things the Boxercise 52-minute Perfect Drill.
I did enjoy it, but now I'm pooped! LOL
I also did a couple of stretches to finish.

On Friday, I did the challenge (which was the Pizza Toss game. I only needed to get 65% but I only scored 63%. This was the first time where I did not get the 1day challenge. emoticon

I also did a 30 minute personal training mode selecting boxercise and aerobics. It was tougher than I expected and I was really winded by the end. For my cool downs I usually do the stretching warm-up programs, several times for a total of 10-15 minutes. I felt great after playing today and I wanted to do more stretching but I forgot but I'll hit the game twice tonight. Although the game doesn't always register a successful attempt at the moves, I know I am getting the benefit of the stretches anyway. emoticon

Peace to all and have a great weekend!

~~ Jeff

So glad you are enjoying the game. :-) It would be awful if I recommended it and you hated it. LOL

I am thrilled to announce that I finally opened the last of the game levels yesterday. I didn't think that would ever happen, but it seems that the amount of play is as important as the medals you earn, because despite being appalingly bad at the swimming, I got the expert open!

So now I can play absolutely anything I want to on it. Even if I am a lead weight. :-)

I am also approaching 1 million miles! I'll let you know when I reach it.

This is my third day in a row of using Exerbeat - I usually start off with practicing the Daily Challenge first. Today I did some Aerobic Dance (various) and Boxercise witha little HIP HOP thrown in. Boy, I sure don't have rhythm! Then I did some stretching to cool down after working up a sweat. And I finish off by completing the challenge. So far it's only asked me to score 70% and I have been getting in the mid-to-high 80's. It's nice to keep a running tally of the number of minutes on the graph. I also am enjoying the Around the World feature, much to my surprise. I'm learning stuff I didn't know about the countries and as long as I keep moving while reading the various pages, it's not so bad. Thanks Lexie for giving me that tip (to keep moving while the instructors are going through their banters), I'm keeping my heart rate up and resting my tired arms by confining the movement to my lower body. Enjoy the game, everyone!

Peace,

Jeff emoticon

I did Today's Challenge and got 92%. I did a 20 minute Aerobics workout for the monthly challenge. I needed just a few more minutes to get 30, so I did Wall Smasher (beg) and did so much better with the charge-ups today that I got a Gold medal! I never thought that would happen.

I can see where it is addictive because you do the segments which are 2 - 3 minutes each and they add up to a half hour or more and it's not torture like some of the EA Sports Active.
I did today's challenge and only got 51% my arm movements weren't registering for some reason. I did a 15 personal trainer routine along with boxing, yoga and dancing for a total of 30 minutes today.

AMYG918 so glad you like your Exerbeat. I warn you, it can become addictive. I really enjoy the workout that it gives and it is fun too. I used to do alot of the EA Sports Active but my knee has really made me stop that, can't do the squats and lunges anymore. With Exerbeat I still get in a good workout.

I got Exerbeat in the mail from Amazon last night and couldn't wait to try it. Hubs and I did games, dancing and boxing. Today I started a challenge and beat the challenge. I earned enough points to open the personal trainer. LOVE IT. I use Wii exclusively for my exercise. I use Wii Fit Plus, Walk it Out, Daisy Fuentes Pilates, EA Sports Active and Your Shape and I believe this other than Wii Fit Plus will be my FAVORITE.
I did 15 minutes with my trainer doing Hip Hop, Boxing, Yoga and Latin Dancing. On my own I did Boxing, Aerobics and dancing for a total of 48 minutes.
So Much Fun!!!!

The last two days I kept up with my daily challenge but failed them both.

Yesterday was largely Samba, and the day before was a right mix of different things - Karate, Boxercising, Latin and Aerobics.

Hope the comedian is funny, Deb! :-) Have fun at the fundraiser.

Fri on Exerbeat. I did the Today's Challenge. Needed 85%. Achieved 91%
I also did some Yoga, Karate, Pilates, Latin Dance and Boxercising. Just over 30 mins in all. It is kind of my daily challenge on Exerbeat - to make that little flame on my calendar go all rainbowy and animated by doing at least 30 mins. :-)
Because this was my 7th day in a row, the game now give me 50% extra points on my map miles. How cool is that?

Today I only did one routine for the team challenge. Really tired today, busy day at work and helping sis move. Going over tomorrow for more boxes and totes. Tomorrow night we are having a comedian at our church social hall for a fund raiser. Hope it goes well.

LOL. I'm glad to know it's not just me. In real life I can swim, but in this game I'm either a Lead Weight or a Speedwalker (which sounds good, but it only equates to 23%). I was so sure I was doing it right too. LOL

Thur's Today's Challenge was a Pass! Just. Needed 80%. Got 81%.

Also did a lot of Karate, Yoga and Stretches, with a little Hip Hop, and finishing with a 15 min Aerobics workout. :-)

Lexie, I had to chuckle when I read your post about swimming. I never made it out of lead weight. I just could not get my sync right with it and was always off.

Today I did the team challenge the did the daily challenge - it was Samba, Hip hop and Karate I needed 90 and got 87%. I am now in Denmark on trip 2

I'm loving the boxing and Karate too. I love most of it actually. My bod moans a bit at certain yoga poses, but apart from that I'm holding my own...

except in the swimming...

cannot get the hang of that! LOL

So, Wed I did just over 30 minutes - Today's Challenge was Swimming and it was my first TC fail. Only got 23% and needed 60% Cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong. *growl* LOL Aside from that I did dancing and Boxing. :-) Made it through 5 more countries.

LEXIE63 I know what you mean. When I first got Exerbeat I was sore, kept wanting to go a little further. I love the boxing and karate, they are my favorite routines by far.

Today I did the team challenge, tried two routines and didn't beat my previous score so will try again tomorrow.

What's not to love? LOL It has about everything I want from an exercise game. I'm getting sore too. I keep seeing how close I am to the next country and my favourite phrase right now is "Just one more workout should get me there." :-)
So, yesterday (Tue) I did loads again. Over an hour. Tried and completed my Today's Challenge. Tried Yoga, Pilates, Aerobics, Latin, Hip Hop and Boxing. I'm doing the workouts in the order that I unlock them, just for the fun of it. :-)

Welcome LEXIE63, glad you like the game. When I first got mine I was so sore because I became addictied to it. I also think it is the best exercise game for the Wii, I always work up a sweat.

Today I only had time to do the team challenge, did #15 Basic Drill. I have reached Black Sea region pt 26.

Had a whale of a time with my Exerbeat today. I decided to try all the dance section workouts that were already open when I first switched on the game yesterday (that I hadn't already tried yesterday).
I started with the Today's Challenge though, which today was Warm-up 2 and Elbow Punch. Needed 70%. Got 81%

Yep, only day 2 with the game so I'm still on novelty value over-enthusiasm mode! LOL

Anyway. It amounted to 40.01 minutes, 421 calories, and 9285 miles.

I reached the Sahara Desert too! :-)

This is the best game for the Wii I've tried so far (and I have quite a few exercise/dance games). I am totally loving it!

This is my first day playing Exerbeat. I've opened up a few things, including round the world. I've tried a few aerobic sections for the upper body and a couple of boxing exercises, as well as doing the Today's Challenge when it opened up. That was a mix of Warm Up 1, Defence, and Dance beat. got 91% on that, which is pretty good considering that I hadn't tried 2/3 segments before. :-)
I'm in Austria now.

Hollygirl I agree with you, the boxercise routines are my favorite ones. I have all of them open and have done them all several times. I want to put together a routine of some of my favs.

Thus far I did the daily challenge which was a karate offense and defense. I did not make the required % but I tried my best so thats what counts. I did an aerobic arm warm up, and then a mix-match routine I put together consisting of boxercizing. Which has to be my favorite workout on the whole game. I also piddled around a bit and did the swimming, dance fever, and pizza toss. My swimming is horrible. I finally made it past 400m but am not improving much. I plan on doing some more here in a bit to help amp up my fitness for the day.

I did the daily challenge, got 77% needed 90%. Then I did new routines in aeorbics and hip hop. I'm not that good at them so I tend to do the boxing or karate. I then did a couple of routines in karate and tried to improve my score, I did.

Gotta remember the specific exercises that I did. I did a total body stretching exercise, won my daily challenge and finished with aerobic and hip hop dance. I think I'm only on destination 21/90. I think I got an award for 3 hours on Exerbeat today though. Seems to me like I should have had that the first week I received it. Oh, well. Enjoying the trip none the less!
