I bought P90 about 10 years ago, but in February I went to the doctor and he said I had to lose at least 80 pounds ( I had already lost almost 10) so I dug out my p90 and started doing it. I'm still on the step 1 but I really like it. Started losing inches right away. There are a couple exercises I can't do because of a health issue but I just keep moving and do something else. When I started I was lucky to do 1 pushup but I'm up to 12 (8-15 is recommended) and can do the 7 wide-7 narrow-7 regular pushups. Can do around 8 chair lifts. The power yoga is what gives me the most difficulty. But I found I enjoy doing the exercises and until I got sick 2 weeks ago was doing it 6 days a week.

Berry, step 1 only takes 30 minutes for the sculpt (weights) and 40 minutes for the cardio/abs. Like I said I haven't moved to step 2 yet because I wanted to master this first and though it's getting easier I think I'll wait since I still work up a sweat.

I liked it when I bought it, but my in-laws came to visit for a couple of months a couple weeks in and since I had a small house and didn't want to do it in front of them, I put it away and had a hard time getting motivated again.

You'll have to let us know how the P90 works for you. I've been looking at it & reading reviews on Amazon. Maybe when the current program I'm on now runs "dry" I'll look to ramp it up. But at this point I'm not set to spend 1 hr a day in front of my TV--no room to work / be active.

Right now I'm aiming to lose 5 lbs by Mar. 15th which will bring my loss total to 22#'s in one whole year. Then there will be the push to lose the final 10 before my "5-0" bday. (I'm not on the Slowest Losers team, but I might as well be...)

Today is day 1 of this "streak". - 29 days to go!

D-I hope you have found your ex nitch. we all need one. I am so thankful I found tennis. For now I am not adding anything to my wkouts. 2to3 hrs of exteme A level tennis everyday keeps me peeling off my ex clothes everyday. But since I asked you I have heard great things about the P90. It doesn't matter if its the greatest thing ever if you don't do it! Make your ex doable! Many people have lost all their wt walking around the block. Good luck in your quest for ex you love! Try tennis! It's awsome!

Hey Marci! It's from Beachbody. Really good workout. The moves are simple and effective! I'm trying to get motivated to do my sweat tonight. It works on muscle confusion and really gets you ripped. There are all kinds of you tube videos about it and a bunch with results. Check it out. I got the P90M and P90X and Insanity videos. Wish me luck. These are supposed to do each one in 90 days.

Denise you rock! Post that pic! Don't worry if it's perfect. I have found the only thing I can do or be perfect about is .... hummmm??? bathing! Every journey i have ever done has been filled with ups, downs, sideways and backwards. The key is to just stay focused! We "can" do this girl. It's funny when you wrote I remembered that my first downfall w/my wt loss was a broken toe. Nov,Dec.That was when my wt loss "losing" ended. i was on fire before that, losing at least a pd a wk. Things are not so bad, my toe is healed and I am back on the courts. Now my prob is mental and that's fixable.
Time to get out of the pity party van and remember that the world is set up for me to win! All I have to do is make the decision! Sept - Nov last yr I lost 17 pds. Yes! 17! Today I am still down 10. And I know how to lose the rest. yes, girl lets do this thing together. I want to be fierce, fab and feel fantastic by Fifty! (its less than 3 mos away!) 10 wks until my b-day could be 10 pds if I stay focused. Nice to meet you my new fab sparksister! ~Maci~

Maci, you are such a doll! And so pretty too. I haven't posted a pic up yet since the only ones I like are with me at your weight 140 or so, it would be like a smack in the face to post a "skinny" pic since I don't look like that anymore. It's amazing how weight can change your face. It took me all summer of climbing our local park's hills for 3.5 miles a day to lose 40 pounds - Then last Christmas I fell and broke a little bone in my ankle and stretched the tendon above my heel (Achellies?) to hell and back. Walking was a no go and I fell into the "Hey I need to eat to take my pain meds - so needless to say two weeks of free feeding and no exercise made me a VERY lazy woman! It's been a year and I'm getting to close to the big "DAY" (turning 50) so no more excuses. YES you must get the hot tub - it's only fair!!! We all need to relax and Beer is now not on my - can have - list. To top it all off my hubby is trying to sabotage me!! He wanted to cook supper tonight and I told him how I wanted my steak cooked and what to put on it, mushrooms and mozzerella cheese and melt it all gooey. I tracked the exact oz's of meat and mushrooms and cheese but he didn't weigh it. I told him I didn't want carbs tonight and what does he do?????? Throws a fit because I didn't want to eat the freakin' BUTTERY CORN he put on my plate! OK what part of no carbs does corn fit in? Nowhere!!!! He even had a smart assed remark to make about the food scale. He thinks it's stupid - I'm not going to be a fanatic but I have gotten nowhere just eyeing my portions so I'm setting myself up not to fail and weighing everything. He says it doesn't matter how I look - I look the same to him - but why did he wait until I lost 40 pounds to buy me pepper spray to carry in the park???? I guess I was big enough to handle myself at 180!lol Men - go figure :( I think with the new job at the Country Club and me wanting to change it threatens him. As I get smaller and I save some money if he doesn't get better about not lecturing me and start backing me - then he will have something to worry about. I didn't mean to vent this long but I just wanted you to know you are not alone. We all have issues that keep us down and stressed - you are so not alone! Make the next set of tears you shed be ones of joy by jumping over that next tennis net! I will be excited to hear that you've done it so let me know soon - I'm rooting for you - and I have set a goal for 5 pounds by Sunday! Now that I have told you I will be more determined not to fail so I won't embarrass myself.haha
I was watching the show "I used To Be Fat" and an 18 year old girl lost 90 pounds in 90 days! I guess if I had a meal planner and a personal trainer to come get me everyday I could do it too. Plus her being a tot still, helped tremendously. It put a fire under my ass for real. OK enough for tonight I hope to hear from you tomorrow. Let's do one day at a time and talk often - I'm not a stalker just lonely for a weight loss buddy and it's nice to be here. Hugs on being on the right track! I really did well today too - I still have to add the 5 cups of popcorn I had as a snack - not listed in food list so I will have to add in the nutritional info. I did day 2 of P90 too! Really a challenge I can't even do one pushup!!!Have a goodnight hon and good luck!!!!!

OMG! The stress level alone will make you gain weight - or so they say. Cortisol is suspossed to help that but it didn't work for me. Ali just made my potty time all greasy didn't see much difference and it was ORANGE!!!!lol I had my hubby put in a whirlpool tub in our bath room so that is now my stress relief. You need to just get your self back in the right mind set. Then it won't matter what crap comes at you. I had my grandchildren every weekend - fri-sat-sun for over a year and I know how hard it can be. Even if they aren't bugging you it's still the fact that they are there. Maybe you could make it fun and get them their own weights and have a schedule put up on the wall of your exercise times. Tell everyone if they are there with nothing to do then they have to join in. That way they will get fit with you or leave you the heck alone so you can exercise in peace. I hope that helps - it's so much easier to come up with suggestions for other peoples lives- not our own. Go figure! haha. I'm glad we are here to share it makes the journey a lot less lonely. :)

Turning 50 was exciting to me last year 2010! Hubs and i were living by ourselves, all our grown kids were doing great and on their own. I was getting thinner and feeling stronger and looking forward to being goal wt by my bday, My plan was to sign up for the Senior olympics in tennis.Than Dec 2010, everything changed. It started raining, I quit exercising, started eating crappy and both my grown DD;s got seperated. Both w/kids. Now we live w/my oldest DD and the gkids 3.5days a week. My youngest DD and her messes! No privacy, new foods showing up daily and just feeling like I can't get back focused. have any suggetions?? Oh Dec 143 pds. Now 149 and growing. Help!

I am really having a problem with accepting 50 this year. My life is so on the back half of life, it scares me. I'm already sitting in a chair 90% of my day cross stitching like I'm 80 - with no energy to get up and move! I am going to change everything this year - I already have a new job - next lose 40 pounds - then fix my marriage. Big year for me lol

I turned 50 this past November. Although I haven't yet reached my goal weight, feeling healthy, fit and a lot trimmer than I was a year ago definitely helped me deal with that scary milestone!
