Awesome! Yes, I'd highly recommend the BCAAs. Did one round without and one witth and soo much less sore with the BCAAs. I'll be on LiveFit break until next year. Might try another 12 week program in between and see how it goes. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you!
YAY! Know what? You may have just sucked me into doing another round. Of course this will mean I will be doing Phase 3 during a time at work that could only be described as time spent in Hades:) Yep, think I will give it a go with ya.
As for the supplements, I did not use the package off of bb.com, but did take supplements, except couldn't take fish oil because of the allergy. Have been taking chia seeds for the omega 3s. I did feel a difference with BCAAs. I actually need to pick up more because I have been out for a couple weeks. I also take L-Glutamine mixed with some organic apple juice after. I buy them pretty much all over depending on the best price I can find. VitaminShoppe has pretty good prices. Another place to check out is Swanson Health Products for vitamins and supplements. What I did in the beginning was check out the stuff Jamie recommends (and sells) and use it as a gauge for the amounts per serving or to the mix.
I am preparing to start the trainer after Thanksgiving. I'm currently rersearching better clean eating meals for myself since I feel this is what hurt me the first go-around.
In addition to that, I am also eyeballing the supplements. The first go-around, I only did the whey protein (a GNC brand) with shakes and occasional pancakes (my own concoction) along with a daily vitamin. I didn't add anything else like the BCAA tabs. I've seen where Jamie has a 'special' on the bodybuilding.com site with whey protein, BCAA's, a smart blend of fats and the Opti women, which I guess is a multi vitamin. Has anyone else tried any of these? What about the BCAA tabs...are they helpful? The prices for hers don't seem bad but I need some feedback and was hoping I could get it here :)
