So in an effort to always be prepared food wise (those who have read my blogs know this is a must for my personal sanilty), I was reading up on carb cycling. I looked at what was going to be my new macronutrient breakdown and compared it to what I am currently getting. I have been very conscious of the protein levels to make sureI get enough for muscle growth but looking at my carb intake im now worried.
My issue....splenda and truvia. Oh my. What am I going to do? I will basically have to give these up for 3 weeks because of the amount of carbs they contain and the amount I use for coffee and my oatmeal. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions of a proper substitute? i dont know anything about stevia, maybe that would work. Im going to work on cutting back for the next couple of weeks, so it wont be such a rude awakening when I begin the carb cycling.
What advice do you have, if you have been through carb cycling? I read to expect significant water weight gain and bloating during this part.
