I'm starting week two, doing it at home and I also just had a stability ball with a set of 5 lb dumbbells...so I did go get a set of resistance bands. Mine came with attachments for the door so there are endless possibilities for exercise substitutions. It came with a book of basic demos.
I just started week 6 this morning and have been doing it all from home. I have some dumbells and resistance bands, a ball and an elliptical. I am loving the program and dont feel like I have to join a gym! (which would be impractical with kids running around coupled with the fact I do my workouts usually at like 5 am before they wake but after hubby has left for work).
You can do it! I have already seen definition and am not even half way through :)
Just for today
Progress not Perfection
If its important you will make time, If its not you will make an excuse
Hi Mary Glad to hear you are going to start. I am with LFF. I don't think you need to go to a gym. There are a bunch of alternates that work. I workout at home. I do have a bench with leg extension/curl, but could easily do it without. I also do much of my workout with dumbbells, even though I have a barbell. It is something you can definitely do with what you have. You do need weight (not sure what you have). What kind of weight do you have (how much can you go up)? Also, people who do not have weights use resistance cords on the plan. I have managed to make it to the end without having to hit a gym:)
Not true. Yes, its recommended, but several of us(including me) did the program with home equipment only. There is a whole YouTube channel devoted to doing it only with resistance bands. There are tons of alternates (many posted in the help forum of our team).
Ultimately, its up to you to decide if you have what you need and if you have the time to do the program justice, but I think alot o people only have dumbbells and stability ball.
I hope it iworks out for you- its a great program!
I am planning on starting the program in about 30 days. I have heard awesome things about it. I am currently do the Supreme 90 program - all I need for this program is dumbbells and a stability ball. I have heard I need to join a gym with machine to do this program justice is this true?
