ANOTHER QUESTION - doing 30 mins straight of sprints seems daunting to me. I have been doing 15 mins in the beginning of my workout then finishing with 15 minutes of sprints. DO you think that makes a difference?

Did the same thing. What? Me sprint??? I looked too far ahead. You will be surprised by how quickly you feel stronger and fitter. I joined the Rookie Running Team and it works by the minute, building up. Helping me transition and adding some variation to walking. I wanted to die the first minute I did and then after thought, hmmm, that was not too bad. Gets easier every day. Not sure I will ever be a runner they will call "the streak" but I am bound and determined to run 40 minutes one day. May be the last day I do it, but I WILL! Who knows, it may drive me to want to go longer.
Anyways, it is about pushing yourself in spurts. Doesn't have to be sprints. However you might just surprise yourself;) You will be able to do it!!!
Almost done with Phase 3. Yes, Sprints(8 sessions total)- or any HIIT you prefer. I hate running too, but I did it anyway-- its ONLY 30 seconds at a time. And its a surprising and good feeling to find out its doable.
"Forget all the reasons it WON'T work and believe the one reason why it WILL" (and that reason is you CAN do it)
I actually like running (more or less LOL). I am not in that phase but I would assume she's using sprints as a simple way to get in HIIT workouts because I recall her mentioning HIIT training. If that's the case, then you can use any cardio activity you like, you just need to ramp up to high intensity for short periods of time.
