In keeping with the low trend-I got an email this morning from the Y I belong to telling me
they will be going up on my rates-just want to scream!!!!!!! The Y started out as an affordable place for everyone and now it's one of the most expensive places around here (I get a discount
through work which just went down for everyone)...I rarely get there more than once or twice a
week these days(due to work schedule)so I may check out some other options,but there are
so many classes at the Y...we'll see.

Linda: I am sorry about the work hours:( Working through lunch has never worked for me. Says the gal who rarely leaves her office once I get there. Are you able to eat a little something (protein/veggies) every two hours? Or even a protein shake. I find that helps with the eating. Not that it completely eliminates the psychological cravings, but keeps me from going into that "want to eat everything in sight" phase. BTW...I think you are amazing babe:) No disliking yourself. You rock!

I took my rest day last night and it was good. I really needed it. As the night continued I became really cranky. No nighttime munching for me. Dinner was the end and I felt much better this morning. Hungry though.

Still hoping for better days ahead-I've even been working during my lunch in hopes of getting
out at a reasonable hour-never seems to happen though-I get there early and I leave late-it
causes me to fall back into old patterns...which causes me to not like myself very much-just
want to scream in frustration,but I'm gonna put my happy face on,& keep trying...

Seems I forgot to post here this morning. Blame it on Monday:)

LFF: I feel ya on the tired thing. Hit the wall again and am taking a rest night. It is official, Mondays and Fridays will be my rest days! Oh and yes LFF, I believe I will no longer pick up those cute little snakes:)

Did legs last night and it totally drained me. Off to eat and take a long, long shower...

Jan: Sorry to hear about the cold:( Proud of you for committing to the workout:)
Linda: Way to go on the trails. I kind of like it when I hit those areas where there are a bunch of obstacles. You can conquer that eating!

I met my friend at that park. It was kind of eh. The people weren't nearly as friendly as the other one we go to and the scenery not as nice. Did see three deer and the friendliest bunny:)
I ended up choosing to not hit the other trail today. Taking a day at home, but am kind of bummed now. Want to be there. Oh, there was a news story about a kid getting bit by the only poisonous snake in Michigan, a Mississauga rattler. It was at the park we always go to and the trails we hit. It was a baby snake that she tried to pick up. I saw rattlesnakes in Mexico on our hike, but never one of those in Michigan. When I was a kid I used to try and find snakes. Loved em. Thank goodness the girl is okay.

ST happening today and maybe some incline work:)

Got up and hit the gym,then this afternoon took Moses for a hike-the trail we were on had been partially washed away from all the rain we've had-it was like a bunch of root steps! Nice day...
exercise isn't the problem,but I've been having a hard time with my diet-trying to get back on track-so hard!

Morning all

(((hugs))) Jan! Been thinking about you a lot.

TGIF! Tomorrow the friend I am doing the Neon Vibe with and I are hitting the park where we are doing the run at next weekend. Kind of bummed because it is not a backwoods trail, but paved:( Also short (a little over 4 miles). I am going to miss the long trail run we usually do. She wanted to get an idea on how to get there (test drive). Thinking about hitting the other park on Sunday to avoid withdrawal. May take my other rest day today since it is Friday. I should just plan on Mondays and Fridays being my rest days.

Awww Jan, we still cry for our pup. I think the worst time for the boyfriend and I was at night when we were going to bed. Many a night in tears just holding each other. For awhile it was a blurr and our cat had a really hard time too. He would cry for him. Sending love and (((hugs))) your way babe. Glad you worked out, that does help.

This weather is making me so sleepy. It was just enough to get the workout in last night. We turned the tv on and retreated to bed and I could not keep my eyes open.

New on the thread, but I am so sorry for your loss. I would definetly take a day off- that was shocking and fast- it would be hard to return to work shortly. Our animals become such a part of us.

Oh Jan, I am so very sorry:( I am crying right now reading that. Our last pup died during exploratory surgery. They found a pancreatic mass we didn't know he had. (((hugs))) and prayers going out to you and your loved ones.

I know you are all animal lovers and you know that I Am - just wanted to let you know that I lost my youngest giant last evening.

She got up yesterday acting very strange - almost like she had been drugged, refused to eat, mopey, sad eyed. Her and I took a nap in the afternoon - I got up and about 10 min later she "fell out of bed" and banged into the door, then the wall, then collapsed.

Made an emergency run to one vet, got sent to another - bottom line she had a mass on her spleen that ruptured. 90+% it was cancer and we opted for surgery if only to give her a few more months - they had completed the surgery and were about to close when she went into cardiac arrest.

Needless to say, my heart is broken but if this was to be her end, at least she did not suffer. One of those things that there was no way to know that this was going on. We had no clue.

LFF-that would be interesting to see the same person in the different modes. I think it would
make everything clearer.Also,go to your start page and just reset your email preferences-
sometimes it resets to never email me again! you just need to uncheck that & recheck what
you want then save your preferences.Happened to me recently too.

Once again, victim to not receiving notifications. ah well, I will just try to remember to come look!

Yay, Jan-- way to get started! Kristin - 12 miles, wow. I really need to buy new shoes to try trail running in. Actually don't even like mine for running in the gym, but one step at a time...

Today I laid out my new plan and goals. October 10th cruise, so I'll be back in a bikini. Want to lose at least 6 more pounds (its less than 6 weeks) but sure would be a lot happier to be back at my pre-summer weight.

So, taking a break from LiveFit until the cruise and when I get back, I may start back on week 3 to finish up 10 weeks before Christmas. Right now I don't want to build muscle as much as I want to get rid of the summer/drinking fat FAST. After the cruise, I'll go back to sculpting and reducing body fat percentage by increasing muscle tone. Maybe I'll post a picture on the cruise to compare to my mud run pix so some of you can see the difference between lean(ish) & sculpted and what I expect will be more like 'skinny fat'.

Kristin-you've definitely got a keeper/glad he looks out for you! Does your dog like to go? They
are so awesome-they sense things...one time I took the dog to an off leash park really early &
this guy with a van drove up parked across then turned it around and parked right next to my car -just acting strange-I've had my share of stuff & was very uncomfortable as no one else was
around.I whistled for Moses and my normally friendly dog acted like RinTinTin! They know stuff
and while the guy was acting strange,he backed off when he saw Moses playing guard dog!
Speaking of-feeling so disgusted & frustrated with myself,so took Moses to the park for a 1.5
mile walk/run.I know that is nothing to most folks,but considering I was told I'd never be able
to do it again-I'm feeling pretty good about it!

Woo Hoo! You are both doing awesome. I am joining you in challenging myself Jan. Doing a challenge that ends on Halloween. Incorporating LiveFit into it. I WILL lose 10 lbs. by then.

So, I hit the trails yesterday with my friends and we did 12 miles. Wanted to die after it was over. New trails that were rough (lots of hill work), my feet were soaked and I was a sweaty mess. I swear I thought we wouldn't make it back to the car. Unfortunately we parked about 1.5 miles away. Longest walk back. Wore new socks and it was a huge mistake. I have 3 nasty blisters on my feet. Everything hurt last night, but today I feel good (except for the blisters). We will be back to those trails.

Linda: I hear ya on the trail safety thing. The boyfriend has been a real bugger about it. It is tough because I really want to go out more and would love to do some on my own. Torn over it. I am really aware of the dangers because of the stalker. It kind of changes you. Boyfriend laughs at how I can tell you details about my surroundings all the time. Forces you to look over your shoulder. I am signed up to take yet another personal defense class. You should redo those periodically.

Off to conquer some LiveFit and do a little treadmill. Have a great week all!!!

Good Morning and Happy Labor Day.

I had a good September 1 - not great, but good.

Tracked it all - did go over a bit on the calories, but all good food - no junk. Did an elliptical workout and some major housecleaning.

Felt good at the end of the day.

Had bad storms during the night and have a bad headache this morning. Gotta keep the plan moving, so I will nurse the headache and the moment I think my ST is possible, I am off to the barn.

Went to Zumba yesterday with my cousin's wife(who is also a best bud).It was a really major
work out session.One the the toughest.Spent this morning with my cousin at the hospital
while she got her appendix out-still can't believe she made it through that class!
Meanwhile,hope you're being careful on the trails,Kristin! Pretty sure there was a bear at the
house last night! I've got a big ,heavy garbage can that was turned on it's side the the stuff
strewn about.Dog very low growl & acting freaky-neighbor got his 6 ft bird house feeder torn
down-I'm being extra careful! Was thinking of taking the dog for a hike in the woods,but
going to scrap that! Raining so much this summer-hard to get out,but if I do it will be a
populated area!

Good Sunday Morning Ladies.

Well, it is September 1 and I have a plan. I will be honest, I don't "feel like the plan" this morning, but I am going to do it. Weighed in, did measurements and have that all recorded so I am off to hit the tread and the weights!!

Hey Kristin -be careful! If you ever do go out by yourself on the trails-bring your dog & your
cell phone and make sure you are on familiar trails where you aren't completely isolated-be
safe! I like to go for hikes,but never go without Moses by my side! emoticon

That darn drama! Sorry you can't run as you used to, but glad you get some hits of it. I think it may be the trails that appeals and I am relating it to the running:) lol We will do a mix of running and hiking when we hit the big hills and although we are pushing it, even after two hours, I want more. Wish we had trails close to home. I am having a tough time deciding how to do it by myself safely. I swear I would go out there daily, I love it so much:)

OK day 2 being well behaved in spite of drama (yeah,looks like we've all got some...)I am so
jealous of the running-I used to be a runner until I messed up my knee. I was told I'd never
run again,but now I can manage the occasional jog-pure joy! It's great when you're angry too-
super for stress!

Must have been in the air Linda! lol Great job on the walk.

As promised, I nailed my workout last night and was clean. I took a few extra days off for the weekend. Doesn't seem so since I checked work emails and there is drama there. Never fails. Ha ha. Think I will add in some treadmill tonight. Need to keep running in order to run. I am still not a great runner, but it is growing on me...slowwwwwly. We are hitting the trails on Sunday, so that will make a difference. I LOVE trails:)

I was bad and didn't work out and then followed it with a bagel with cream cheese at 10:30. Ugh! I am promising myself and all of you I am jumping right back into it tonight:)

(((hugs))) Sorry you had a rough Monday:( I have one of those coworkers too!!! grrrrrr I have been where I work going on 25 years and you would think we were family at times. Bickering days. I cannot remember a good Monday there. Something about Mondays. I try and go in chin up and happy and it turns. Hang in there!

As for the legs WO. Been there too! What works for me when I get thrown off is to modify with a move I know and can do. On a leg day I might do more squats or lunges, maybe step-ups. My boyfriend (when he is in workout mode) always keeps the bar packed with too high weight on the bench and then I get thrown off doing bench presses. I cannot safely bring that bar up and off the bench. Yes, you hear me cussing up a storm. lol

Keep breathing in and out and hope you have a better day today! Great job on the workout:)

Last nights leg workout didn't go too well. I couldn't do 2 of the exercises because my DH forgot to put the bench back down and I couldn't figure it out. ( some type of unscrew thingie that wouldn't unscrew) . But I did the rest of the exercises. Had a bad day at work. Annoying coworker and his questions that he already has the answer to but asks me anyways. Then he has the nerve to say, " what's your problem ?" In a threatening way. I'm so tired of him I wish he would just leave me alone. Sorry had to rant. Deep breath.

Sorry about the friend stuff:( I kind of had one of those days. Through preparing and doing this last mud run I allowed myself to get sucked into being the planner, motivator, reminder... Decided NO MORE. The deal now Is I send out an email to everyone on upcoming races and trail days. Be there or don't. Always seems to be a certain degree of drama with some. They weren't reminded, everyone needs to go together, maybe I'll be there, this time doesn't work for me... Ugh! Just do it or don't. Rant over:) lol

Hope you had a great golf night LFF:) I did legs and burpees, followed by playing far too much Call of Duty. Proud to say I had no snacks last night and my stomach is happier this morning!

Hey all... Just had an off weekend because I had issues with friends. Like you Kristin, I am okay that everyday isn't spot on, I cannot always be motivating and inspirational.
Today I am fine. I went to yoga and calmed the monkey brains. I hope the focus lasts as I really need to keep plugging away at client stuff and keeping up with workouts. Tonight is golf, so at least fun exercise.
Glad to hear you are going to see a doctor, Kristin.

(((hugs))) to all of you! It will all be fine, I will get to the doctor, and am thankful for your concern:) The swelling is down. Praying that he doesn't immediately bump up my mammogram (due soon) because I do not want this baby in the vise grip. ha ha

Sorry to hear you had a rough start back Linda:( One heck of a way to start the week. Whine away girl. That's what we are here for. That and celebrating all of our awesome success! It is coming!!!

Hear ya Jan. I am co-leading a team and love it. I have now surrendered to the fact that every day is not going to be spot on for me. I am going to have tough times and not feel the most motivating and inspirational. That's okay too! Although I worked out this weekend, my head wasn't in the game. Just one of those weekends I wanted to be a complete slug:)

LFF...how are you feeling today? better? (((hugs))) and wishes for an uplifting week!

Back to my chaotic Monday work day. Ugh, why can't we win the lottery already???
