A superset is two exercises performed consecutively without any rest. With the LiveFit workouts, you would do a set of the first exercise listed under the word "superset" and then do a set of the second exercise listed under it without taking a rest period between them.
The search function on the bodybuilding.com website is easy to use and helps keep me on track with Jamie's workouts without straying from her true intentions. I recommend using it when you are confused over the prescribed exercises. I've also found great meal ideas by using this search, too.
I start phase 2 next week, but my take on it ( and I did have to reread to see how she was grouping the exercises) was do the first exercise- so day 1 would be pull-ups - immediatly followed by the super-set of bent over rows. So you do one pull-up then one bent-over row and rest. Then one pull-up followed by one bent over row. And that would be the only super set listed for day one.
Thats what Ive been doing. Anything listed under superset I do as a circuit. OMG I just realized I screwed up yesterdays workout...............I did overhead cable curls thru the abs portion as a superset! YIKES! I will have to pay better attention and not be in a rush!
Anyone else confused about which exercises should be done as supersets? I thought it was only the 2 below where it says "supersets", but there is no space between the exercises to differentiate between supersets and regular sets. I've just been doing all the exercises under "superset" as supersets. Am I right or does it really matter?
