Hi! I'm happy to update :) Our wedding was in September--I just haven't gotten around to updating my groups yet! The day itself was perfect, but the 3 weeks or so leading up to it were so stressful...My maid-of-honor/hairdresser didn't book her flight (US to UK) until 6 days before the actual flight, and my other bridesmaids arrived from the States 3 days ahead of the wedding, so I didn't get a bachelorette party. My SIL and her husband cancelled on us 12 days before the wedding--really let him down, as she's his only sibling. My husband only had his father and 4 coworkers attend, while I had 15 people come over from the US (also had lots of local friends, but still mostly my side). The florist was flaky and never sent us an itemized invoice or any pictures of what she was going to do--when the flowers arrived on the day, I had no idea what they would be like. In the end, they were gorgeous and even better than what I'd hoped for. I can look back at it now and laugh, and say "I'm never doing that again!"
My favorite part of the day was just sitting at the top table and watching everybody interact. It was so cool to see the people we loved, from different parts of the world and from different stages in our lives, all hanging out together. I really made an effort to just sit back and take it all in, because it was amazing and it's never going to happen again.
Re: my weight loss, I didn't meet my goals before the wedding, but I toned up enough to feel ok with showing my bare arms (huge accomplishment for me), and TBH, my weight was the last thing on my mind on the day. I was so happy and 'in the moment' the whole time. Good luck with all of your plans, and remember to enjoy every minute :)
