I get married in 29 days! Our RSVP deadline is tomorrow, so now I get to go through the terrible task of following up on those people who didn't respond. Not looking forward to that! But after that, it should be smooth sailing!

So - getting married in a month. :)

There's so much that's not done yet, but I'm not very worried... I think it'll all be fine.

And I think that at the rate I'm going, I'll be in a size 2 for the wedding - something I really never counted on happening, but I'm thinking it's a real possibility! My seamstress is going to KILL me...

Kind of in that down time where the big things are planned and waiting on sending out the invites. I'm trying to focus on my thing to do for the wedding as being my weight loss goal. I wish the wedding was closer, but I also want all the time I have to lose the weight. My dress is already a size bigger in order to fit my chest so I don't have to be concerned about fitting into that dress. I am considering buying a dress tomorrow to wear to Bridal Shower or Rehearsal Dinner and getting one a size too small for some extra motivation that won't hurt so much. When is everyone's date?

well, today we have our meeting with the pastor to go over our "profile" Essentially we filled out an online test with answers relating to our feelings about certain statements and now the pastor's going to compare and contrast them and we'll talk about what all that means. My fiancee is super-excited about it! I'm a little nervous cuz it kind of reminds me of talking to a shrink...

My fiancee is now on a diet, though, so that makes the diet part of my life a little easier. Now that he's tracking calories, he's realizing the things in the house we buy that are really full of calories and so easy to overeat! That's nice!

Got our first RSVPs back yesterday, so our journey is right on track. Oh, and we started teeth whitening yesterday too. Will do another more intense session in June right before the wedding!

Been working on the wedding in my spare time, hah. But last weekend managed to work on getting wedding bands, and went back to the jeweler today as a bit of a follow up. The invitations came in the mail (time to stuff and address them now) this week and they are perfect. I also have a tasting for our reception diner scheduled for this week. The little details are coming together.

How are you doing with your planning?

Last weekend got my invites ready to send and went in for dress alterations! This weekend, I'm sending invites. Second meeting with Pastor next week. Everything's falling into place rather nicely. Now if my MOH can get those Shower/Bachelorette Party invites out, all will be well. I'm getting tons of questions about it cuz it's next month and no invites have gone out yet...*sigh* well, I'm not in charge of that, so I shouldn't worry...

KITTEN_351 - we're wedding date twins! I can't believe this thing's happening in less than three months. I'm bugging out!

Anyway, I need to try on my dress, too - I just finished Power 90 and didn't lose weight BUT lost 5% body fat... so... yeah. Maybe should go get those alterations now!

Starting P90X tomorrow. Excited, because I'll be just about finished by the time the wedding rolls around!

I have my dress alterations appointment on the 31st as well as my hair trial. I'm a little nervous because I haven't weighed myself in awhile and my dress fit perfectly last June and that was the last time I tried it on. I'm hoping I'll be pleasantly surprised, but I have no idea...

I have pretty much every detail ironed out for my wedding June 23rd, so I'm pretty happy about that. I just hope everything works out from now until then!

Just checking in.
I've had my fitting for my dress and I feel confident and happy with how I look right now. I just need to keep it that way! Thank you sparkpeople for that motivation.
I've picked out some cute heels to wear (about 1.5 inches with a flower at the peak toe).

This weekend I found a great little easter basket on sale at Joann's for less than $5 in purple (one of my colors) for the flower girl. It is so much cuter and cheaper than traditional flower girl baskets.

Starting to think about the honeymoon. Thinking the of Hawaii, the big island. emoticon

Bought my dress Saturday. I was a size smaller than I was at the beginning of January when I tried it on last. It felt great to have the sample nearly fit. It makes me want to work even harder to get the last 25 of what I gained back off. Also today is my 4 year SparkVersary! Hope everyone is having a great day! emoticon

Hi, ladies, checking in -

I'm nearly halfway done with the Power 90 series and I am really starting to see results. Noticed yesterday that my "saddlebags" are not as... saddlebaggy. :)

I'm also using my Power 90 "rest" days as my workout wildcard days - and I'm kind of in love with ballet/barre workouts right now. They work your whole body and help with posture, too - and good posture can be slimming just by itself!

Checking in...I am feeling very stressed out as of today. I am in an accelerated (15 month bachelors in nursing) nursing program and working part-time. I have 18 credits this semester and travel every other week to a different city for clinicals. School is very time consuming. I have booked our wedding venue and reception site. I have bought stuff for reception decorations and gifts for wedding party. Also have the pastor. Don't have food, wedding decor, photographer, dj, or my dress...

Speaking of the dress. I know I lost 60 pounds on this site and felt and looked great for two years. Between anemia, being diagnosed with hypothyroidism and starting this 15 month program, I fell off the wagon and gained 28 pounds back. Recently I started noticing how 'big' I had gotten. I tried on wedding dressed after Christmas and was sad to find that most samples didn't even come close to fitting me. I started as a size 18 and got to a size 8. Currently I am sitting around a 14. I am so mad that I let myself get back to this size. I think I found a dress that I love, but given I have time to order (Dec bride), I wanted to wait until the end of Feb to order it. I have made appointments for the 25th and I hope to be down two dress sizes by then. I have been working out and eating well. I have lost about 10 pounds in three weeks. I was worried about being at clinicals in a different city this week. I drove 6 hours there and 6 back, worked 12 hour shifts and didn't get a lot of sleep and very little workout time, but I think managed to maintain. I might have even lost a pound (we will see at weigh in on Monday). I hope that this gets easier trying to find a balance of school, health, work, and wedding planning. And most importantly, making time for my husband to be. I have been a real bear lately and he is on the receiving end. I feel really bad about that.

My goal is actually to be under two and a half hours too. So far I have been using a pair of reebok sneakers I have, but I do keep meaning to go to a running store and get new ones. I am kind of waiting till the end of the months when I get my bonus from work.

That sounds like a great plan. Cross training is always a good idea when training for a marathon. I'm really hoping to finish in two and a half hours. The women that I'll be training with have all done half marathons before and their PRs are under two hours! How intimidating!!

Good Luck with all your training! If you need an support, you can definitely count on me! Oh, I don't know if you did yet but make sure you go to a running store and get fitted for good sneakers. Best money I've ever spent! It will make all the difference in the world!

I am going to be running about 3-4 days a week with a long run on the weekends. I want to keep going to some of the classes at my gym that I go to now, which is why I will not be doing more. I am hoping to get through it without having to walk, but my only real goal is just to finish. If I have to walk, I will still be really happy.

Hey Sarah! That is pretty cool that our weddings are only a day apart! June is a wonderful month to get married... hopefully the weather will be beautiful for both of our special days.

We definitely have LOADS in common with our weddings and our pending half marathons. I just started my training this week. I have a three week "pre-training" training and then a full solid 12 weeks of training. I'll be running 4-5 days a week with one long day on Saturday/Sunday. It's been awhile since I've done any running and I'm really looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. I let a friend of mine convince me that running a half-marathon would be a great way to get in shape before my wedding. I'm super nervous but I think I'll be ok. I might walk a lot :) What kind of training are you doing?

Oh, I answered all the questions about my wedding in my other post :)

MRITCHIE117- Our weddings are only one day apart! I am also running my first half marathon. I will be running it two weeks before my wedding on May 27th. What are you currently doing for your training? What do you have left to plan for your wedding?

I am so happy that the holidays are over! I know it is bad, but I just went on a ten day break from focusing on getting in shape. Now I am definitely ready to buckle back down and be completely focused for the next 5 months and beyond!

Getting a dress has definitely helped me be more focused about going to the gym and eating right. Although the size I ordered fits me pretty well right now I wouldn't mind having to get it taken in! I'm focusing more on getting toned up, especially in my arms, more than I am losing weight. Knowing how I want to look in my dress is so much motivation!!

I never pictured myself getting married either! You also need to share pictures of your dress.
emoticon I am sure you look amazing in the dress already!
I am trying to get below 200 before my dress comes in. It is due to arrive in March, so I have about 3 months to lose 20 pounds. I decided to register for a hlaf marathon in May, so I am sure the training will definitely help with this goal!

I wish I had more time :) I have the place booked and am meeting with the officiant in 2 weeks for my wedding in May. I'm hoping to take a very light class load next semester to be able to do some wedding planning after work. I'm getting back on track with diet and exercise and I'm asking for a gym membership for Christmas as a pooled gift from my family to add some variety to my workouts.

I haven't been around much due to my surgery in September and recovering and wedding planning of course but I am slowly making my way back. Wedding planning is coming along. Just doing invites right now, bridesmaids dresses are picked and now doing little things as they come.

How is everyone else doing?

Our team has been extremely quiet recently! I wanted to post a message to see how everyone is doing with their weight loss and wedding plans.

I have 6 months and one week till my wedding. It is coming up so fast!! I have been doing really well recently with eating well and working out. I want to get as close to my goal as possible over the next five months. The month before the wedding, I just want to maintain. I don't want to add any additional stress or have my seamstress kill me for a ton of last minute alterations!

We still need ot finalize our bakery and florist, but besides that I feel pretty on top of things in terms of plans. I recently started working on finalizing our reception menu. Once that is set in stone, I will order my invites. We also recently ordered out toasting flutes and serving set. I ordered my birdcage veil and headband too. Finally I should be all done with accessories. Now I can not wait for my dress to come in!!
