I have the 30 day shred and love it. It really helps to have the modifiers and Jillian Michaels to yell at you...I mean motivate you. :) I have also tried Yoga meltdown and Ripped in 30. All are great for fat burning and are excellent cardio. LOVE JILLIAN MICHAELS!!!

No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everyone on the couch!

I love the 30 Day Shred! The first few times I tried it, I could only do the modified moves and was so sweaty by the end. I've been doing it about 5x/week for the past couple of months, and it's still a great workout. Love having the different levels to choose from, and I get bored easily with exercise so I love the variety that you get with circuit training.

Jillian's yelling irritates me, too, though :) Now that I know how to do the moves, I just mute the DVD and play a workout music playlist instead. It's been a good way to keep it fresh & interesting, and with some songs I get more reps in than Jillian does, too.

I am not a big fan of Jillian, but I do have this workout and the DVD is set up so that there are various levels to go through. It's a great workout, I just don't like Jillian's yelling. That's a personal preference. Right now I'm loving Turbo Fire, and have quite a few DVD's from the firm that I enjoy (especially Allie). Just start the video. Starting a workout is an accomplishment- stick with it. You deserve that!

I have a bunch of JM's DVDs. I really love her style and attitude, but I agree that it can get boring doing the same thing over and over again.
I haven't done the 30DS in a while, but I'm about to start it back up. My advice is don't kill yourself with it - it's a pretty intense workout... just do it every other day, or 3 days a week. Whatever you do is more than doing nothing.

Good for you! Yeah my legs shake too. Shaking is a good thing....trust me =D

Yeah I track 30DS under Circut Training since its strength and cardio mixed all in one. I usually spend about 10 days on each level. I find level 3 super hard so if I skip level 3 altogether and just do levels 1 and 2 then I will do 15 days of each. It depends on what other workout dvd that I combine 30DS with. I have also alternated days....so L1 one day, L2 the next, then L3 and the next day right back to L1. All depends on you and when you feel you need to move on.

Well I just finished day 1 level 1! It was challenging with the lunges.... I was shaking like a leaf LOL. I have a couple questions though.

To track your workout, what do you use? I used the circuit training... is that right?
How long do you stick with each level, because I agree I will get bored doing the same workout every day. Just curious :)

Thanks for all of your help!

I'm not a huge workout DVD fan, but I do have 30DS. I have never finished the 30 days. I wasn't a huge fan, but it could also be because I just found it boring to do over and over. Plus, I was sore after the first day and couldn't do it 2 days in a row.

I loved 30 day shred! I had to give it a rest because my knee was giving me some trouble (old injuries are a pain - literally). I liked that it was no nonsense and she acknowledged that I might totally hate to workout, but that there was a light at the end of the tunnel and some wonderful benefits to be had.

I do the 30DS all the time. Its one of my favorite workouts. Actually I'm currently doing a short round of it right now. I combine with with Turbo Jam and call it TURBOSHRED. Such an amazing workout combo and AMAZING results!!

But 30DS is definitely a tough workout. I'm sure you will love it and see results. Check out some of JM other fitness dvds as well. She has...Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, No More Trouble Zones, Yoga Meltdown, Shred-it with Weights, 6 week 6 pack, and various Biggest Loser dvd workouts as well and tons more.

I'm a fitness dvd nut as well, so if your wondering about a fitness dvd, dont hesitate to ask cause I probably have it!

Okay, I know a lot of people really like Jillian Michaels. My sister sent me the 30 Day Shred DVD to start for my wedding work out. She loved it. I have put it off for days now, and have decided that tonight is the night to do it.

Does anyone else use it or have any thoughts about it? Just Curious!!
