When you buy that box/bag of trail mix go home and portion into the proper serving size. If you want to make sure that everytime you have trailmix it is a 200 calorie portion then MAKE IT THAT WAY!
By doing this you wont have an open bag to much on and you will KNOW how many calories you are eating.
Do this with chips, cereal, raisins, etc. I pre-portioned my oatmeal for the week so I can wake up and make my oatmeal without pulling out the giant tub and measuring cup...no scale and bag of raisins necessarey...I just have to dump everything in a bowl, heat and enjoy :)
