I bought this DVD well over a year ago and used it for the first time today. I'm using it following the calendar in the Trim & Tone Head-to-Toe in Less Than 20 Minutes! blog.

I did the carido blast section today and found it to a challenging cardio workout. I'm looking forward to seeing what else is on the DVD.

I watched the 20 minute excerpt "Trim & Tone Head-to-Toe" to get an idea of what the workouts are like before I decide whether or not to buy the DVD. It definitely looks like a good workout, but I'm far too uncoordinated to follow some of the routines. When they get to where there are more than a couple of different steps at the same time (especially when the arms are going one or more ways while the legs are doing something else), I get too lost and confused. It's the same with other videos I've tried which involved dance routines or other multiple-step exercise routines. I just can't keep up. emoticon

Are there any other online videos or DVDs that would offer us "coordination-challenged" types an easier-to-follow yet intense workout with variety? emoticon

I bought this DVD a few weeks ago and have been doing the 30 min (mostly) combined with the other routines. I love it. It busted my plateau and I'm finally seeing more results on the scale (and in my muscles!). I went to my Tabata class last night and I kicked butt! Incorporating weights is hard work.
Good work Coach Nicole! Keep 'em coming!

I've used this DVD exclusively as my strength training tool, 3 times a week for 2 months (30 minutes routine) Added Nicole's seated Arm routine as well. The muscles in my arms and legs are noticeably larger and I am getting stronger. I can not do the side planks on the intermediate level (Ouch, they still burn), and can do 20 push ups with out stopping (girl style). I'm working towards holding a regular plank for 90 seconds and doing 50 regular style (on he toes) push ups. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this DVD. Jewel looks like my beautiful daughter in law, so I get a kick out of thinking we are working out together. All three ladies are motivating and BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks Coach Nicole.

Hi Team, and Coach Nicole,

I just did Day One yesterday, and this will be my go-to DVD on my non-gym days for sure. I go every other day to the gym for the treadmill and circuit, and this DVD will be perfect for my in between days. I also loved the timer as others have said.

Thanks to you and Sparke People I am becoming a better version of me.

Spark on!!

It took me several weeks, in spite of months of daily exercise with a much gentler DVD, to be able to stick with the warmup till the end of the 6 minutes!! Now I can do it, and attempt the other sections! It used to be torment. Now I enjoy the challenge!
I'm doing the jumpstart challenge and SC, but after Jumpstart may go on to 28 day bootcamp.

Wow, thanks everyone. This is such a pleasure to hear. It's always a nerve-wracking experience--you work really hard and hope people will like it but have no idea what to expect. This has really made my day!

If any of you haven't yet, but get the opportunity, please consider posting your reviews of the DVD on amazon.com (or similar) so that others can hear your experience. It's a great way to Spread the Spark and would me a lot to me and SparkPeople.

Keep up with those workouts!! ;-)

Hi Coach Nicole!

I finished Day 7 today and I am absolutely loving your DVD! I am following the calendar, so I am excited to find out what the rest of the month holds! And THANK YOU for showing all three modification levels! I am able to do advanced or intermediate on most of the exercises but I am still a beginner for some of them and it's so nice to be able to follow along even then!
I have also bought your Total Body Sculpting DVD, but I haven't opened it yet.
And I really like your warm up and cool down exercises, too! I have started using them when I do my cross training days just to make sure I don't stiffen up!
Thanks so much!

Hello Coach Nicole!!

I just bought your 28 day Bootcamp and just did Day 1! THANKS so much for being so kind when kicking my bum!! I was totally sweating and LOVING every minute!! I have TONS of exercise DVD's, Kathy Smith, Denise Austin, JM, etc. but BY FAR your's is the BEST!! You cue easily and challenge all levels of fitness!! I found myself doing the all 3 levels!! I also LOVE the timer on the DVD! Great job on that one!! GENIUS!! It is so nice to see how much time you have left while whipping me into shape!! I can't wait to do the remaining days!! I am going out tomorrow and buying your new one too!! I have raved about your DVD to all my buddies. I told them that you cue wonderfully, and challenge us on all levels. I really feel like your Bootcamp is more like a crossfit training and I JUST LOVE IT!! I am not bored or lose my focus. That is huge for me! Can't wait to see what you NEW DVD Total Body has to offer!!

Thanks for all you do for us SP members!! I can't wait to wake up tomorrow and get my bum sweating again and feeling good afterwards!! emoticon

I'm also a JM fan and mostly do her workouts. I bought the 28 Day Boot Camp because I wanted to mix things up a bit. I'm glad I did! I'm not following the 28 day calendar, but love that I can skip to a day and just do that workout. The other day it was Total Body Challenge and Tone & Burn - which happens to be Day 28! I can see why it's at the end...what a workout!

Coach Nicole is a great trainer, the cues are easy to follow and the moves are challenging. I consider myself to be at an intermediate level when it comes to working out. This DVD has me doing some advanced moves, as well as beginner & intermediate (I like that in most cases all 3 are offered). And I feel it the next day (which I love!)

I literally just finished my Day 1 workout, and I just had to write a review because this DVD is awesome! I'm a Jillian Michaels type of girl, and I would dare to say that Coach Nicole is just as tough. Nicole is easy to follow. Her friendly tone reminds you that you can make it to the end. I love the timer by the way!!! Oh my goodness. Whomever came up with the timer is a genius, because people like me need to know where we're at otherwise I'm turning off the DVD. When I felt like giving up, I'd look at the timer, and tell myself, "Stop being a wimp, you've already made it halfway." lol I love this DVD, and I'm so glad I purchased this. Now I need a shower because I'm covered in sweat.

Hello!

I love the idea of having a calendar so that my workouts for a whole month are planned out for me! I hope there is another video like this in the making. I hate having to chose workouts on my own....I can easily waste a half hour or more trying to make up my mind (and sometimes that alone can put me off working out).

Anyhow, I am now on day 9 (I wanted to do at least a week before chiming in) and I love the tape. My clothes fit nicer and my posture is better already! (and I lost a pound) Right after this post I am going to B&N to review it! Thanks for the great workouts!

Just got my DVD and last night decided to just preview it. Well, 40 minutes later and 3 workouts to say I was ready for a shower and cold drink of water is an understatement. I've been using other tapes for some time and I wanted a change. I like the variety you can do for each workout and your speaking and demonstration are excellent. Today, decieed to do the full Total Body Challenge and love it too. I can see my self using this on a regular basis. Thank you for a great DVD, clear instruction and a great workout. Enjoyed everything!

I would also like to let you know that in my Amazon review I commented about your instruction. In every video that I have done, either the DVD or on sparkpeople.com, I have really appreciated your style of instruction. You are excellent at being positive and giving good reminders about breathing and correct form.

Many thanks and blessings to you and all of the Sparkpeople staff! I have met goals I never thought possible and can't WAIT to achieve new milestones. This site is an incredible resource.

I'm finishing up Week 4 and wanted to give a quick review.

First of all, I definitely have not gotten bored with the 28-day plan! I started with the lowest-impact and by Week 4, I find myself doing almost all intermediate and some of the advanced moves. Speaking of which, I'd like to sincerely thank you for providing 3 levels of difficulty for just about everything in the videos. Some moves I can easily do the advanced, others I'm SO grateful for the beginner moves!

I stick w/ my Spark plan of eating and other cardio, so I am seeing some results. And I'm definitely noticing increased strength.

Workouts - even the longer combined ones - go quick. You're never waiting too long for the next move and I love when multiple moves are combined to really make the time pass fast! My favorite part of all the workouts is the kickboxing/martial arts jab-cross-step-kick section...makes me use my brain as well as my body. I wouldn't mind doing less squats - but I wouldn't mind eating less broccoli too.

This is a program that's easy to stick to because it can be modified...good workouts that you can push hard without killing yourself.

God made me and He doesn't make junk.

i did my first workout of the 28 day bookcamp challenge. I did the 22 minute workout. Warm-up, workout & cool down. It was really fun! The only problem I had was keeping in step for some of the moves. I got a little off timing and mixed up, but I kept moving anyway. I'll get it. It is only my first workout with this DVD.

My 2-yr-old LOVES dancing, like when a Fresh Beat Band video comes on Nick. So not too long ago, we got her the first of a set of dancing DVDs. I followed the DVD with her, but she lost interest about halfway through.

On the other hand, when I've finished one of the workouts on my 28-day Boot Camp DVD, including the cool down, she's not done. I'll head over for my water and computer to get a drink and log my workout on SP, and she'll say, "No, Momma! March!"

And let me tell you, she marches in quick-time. If I could keep up with this girl, I'd {i}really{/i} be getting a workout--or else I'd be getting too sore to work out the next day!

Nicole,
Congratulations on your DVD!
I bought it after completing 2 28 day challenges on SP. I am in week 3 and just did the 30 min total body workout which is my favorite part of this DVD.
I love the clock and the calendar.
My suggestions:
1.Include the calendar in the pamphlet or on DVD cover
2.Cool down stretches should include hips and upper body (triceps)
3. Product placement. SP products should be used by participants or visible in the background.(You've seen how well it works with the sneakers)

In my 3rd week with the DVD of my second spark people boot camp. Yesterday I completed the 30 minute Total Body Workout and that really kicked my hide!! After I am done with this boot camp, I plan to make that workout part of my weekly routine. That is an awesome workout!

Definitely!! I take that approach with everything in my life. Granted I am one of those weirdos who smiles all the time naturally, as there are few things that I let get me down, lol. I hope to start the dvd again, and work on doing some of the advanced moves now. Except that evil curtsy move--which I am blaming the difficulty on my stumpy legs, lol.

@KASPER10779 ~ I know that feeling. Isn't it great!

Today I did the Tone & Burn/Cardio Burst ~ boy am I tired! But then I never thought that I would be able to achieve something so worthwhile.

I've learnt that when I'm getting tired or beginning to sag ~ I focus on Jules and "Smile!"

Have you ever noticed that when your exercising and getting tired, that taking a deep breath and smiling actually gives you energy. I always find that what I'm doing actually gets easier!

Keep up the good work!

Wow, that is great! I am so happy to hear that you are continuing to get results from the program. Good for you for putting in the work!

I have some VERY EXCITING new workout programs coming soon, but I can't talk about them just yet! Look for news this fall and winter though, including another DVD release before the year is over! I will keep everyone posted as soon as I can.

Coach Nicole, I'm curious as to what you have up your fitness sleeve for your next dvd. I am truly loving the ST on this boot camp dvd. Whether I add on short-cardio scupt, Tone-N-Burn or Total Body Challenge to my step and walking workouts, I'm excited with the results I received and continue to see and feel. Although my husband keeps telling me my pants are too big, I'm not ready for a new wardrobe just yet! I believe I am finally in a place where I am focused on my health and fitness journey (especially with getting older). Since starting in January I have successfully lost almost 20 pounds (17 to be exact) in party thanks to you and this wonderful dvd. I also particpated in the biggest loser challenge here on SP. My goal is to to release another 13 #s before concentrating on maintenance for life.

I just wanted to virtually emoticon for putting out such a great product.

I started out doing the program following the 28 day workout. I got off track but I'm back doing the workouts, this time I'm picking and choosing. I get a good workout in a short amount of time. I'm alternating. Monday and Wednesdays I'm doing a strength workout and Tuesday Thursday I'm walking/jogging. I'm also doing yoga, pilates. I think this is a great program, whether you follow the 28 day program or add it into your weekly routine.

Just completed my first week of the workout. I am really happy with the workout. The doc told me to do a bit more cardio and this is really helping. I feel like it is starting to help me shape the body some plus keeping me on track for weight loss. Thanks!

Hi Nicole ... I tried your January Jumpstart Challenge and enjoyed it very much, but did not know on how to enlarge the videos on U Tube, so when I saw your DVD I must admit to being very thrilled!

So far I've completed the first week and have noticed a difference already. This weekend I mowed my lawn and did not have to stop for a break. It was fun! I actually used some of the actions that you use in your videos and found a way round a chore that I detest!

Thank you, thank you, thank you

PS Loved the blog about your pets the other day ~ hence the fun!!!!

I bought my DVD at Target but threw away the wrapper before entering my code to earn my spark points. I tried entering the numbers on the bar code to see if that would work but it doesn't. Is there anyway I can earn my points for buying the DVD, possibly typing in the code from my Target receipt? I would really like to earn my next spark trophy soon.

@Loular - I recommend using the accountability tracker on here each week that helped. Also I created calendar and put it up on the fridge of what days I was working out and what days to rest and I scheduled it like a meeting. Good luck!

I just completed the whole 28 program. I did only the program and followed to a T. I loved it. I hadn't really exercised in over two years. Pregnancy, being a new mom and working full-time, plantar faciitis, etc. kept me away. The basic level and the amount of time of each workout really allowed me to ease into it and made it doable for me. I didn't want to give up after 3 days. I lost 9lbs total while doing the boot camp. I also followed the calorie range recommend by SP. I highly recommend this workout for any fitness level or size. One thing I should mention is I have sensitive knees and there were a lot of exercises that work the knees, so I was modifying a lot, but still getting my heart rate up. I also had to do additional stretching to get some relief from soreness and help build up my flexibility. Overall I loved this and will be doing it again after two weeks. Love that this has 3 levels of fitness, so I can use the DVD over and over. emoticon

Coach Nicole,

My two co-workers and I have been sticking to our goal of becoming healthy and fit individuals. We have been able to increase our sedentary lifestyle by walking and jogging occasionally. We have changed our eating habits and have all had good results.

As a wife, new mother, teacher and grad student, it was important for me to purchase a DVD that would give me a good workout in minimal time. My only workout times are very early in the morning, or very late at night, when my baby is sleeping. I like spending waking hours with my hubby, so unless he joins me, I will not workout in the afternoon. lol

I talked to my co-workers about trying your DVD. They are actually motivated and we plan to keep each other accountable. There were many 30day bootcamps out there, but I went with yours because of all the excellent reviews! It seems doable, and like it can challenge people at different levels.

We look forward to working out, and we will share our results with you after our 28day bootcamp!

We're pumped! =)

Coach Nicole,

I just wanted to stop by and tell you congratulations on being the number 1 seller on Amazon!
This should show you that the people who've bought this DVD and sending out all of the reviews should be a pat on the back! I think that everyone loves it in general because you're just like the person next door and your not screaming at people that they're not doing it hard enough or pushing themselves until they just want to drop!

Again thanks for taking the time to make a great DVD that everyone at every level can use!

This has been a terrific workout for me so far. Today I'm at the end of the 3rd week. I'm finding muscles I didn't know I had and I'm in better shape than I've been for a long time. My upper body strength is improving-I have been very weak for a long time. I have been getting compliments on how good I look!Even after I am done with the boot camp, I know I will come back to it since it does such a great job.
Thanks Coach Nicole!

Friday will be my third workout with the dvd. I really enjoy the 30 minute workout. It's very challenging but just the right amount of time for me. I like the clock at the bottom of the screen. It keeps me motivated. Thanks for a great workout! I look forward to the day that I can be as fit as the three of you! emoticon

This has been a terrific program so far. I am in my second week, which is a record for sticking with a program in the first place, and I can already see an improvement in how I perform each exercise, but how I feel as well. Now, my form is far from perfect (very far) but each time I do it, it gets a little bit better. For example, I NEVER thought I could perform the quad stretch; I couldn't even reach my foot. Now, with a little support, I can grab my ankle and feel the benefit of the stretch.
I also really appreciate how the program offers different levels based on ability. At this point, I am trying to do just the basic movement, but hope to be able to achieve higher levels later. By offering a basic or beginner level for each exercise, it gives me an attainable goal that not only gives me satisfaction when I complete a workout, but the confidence in inspiration that I can stick all the way through the program, which is something that I have not done before.
In short, I am very grateful for the 28 Day Boot Camp DVD, and look forward to even more improvement from it.

I completed my first 28 days of the 28 Day Boot Camp DVD yesterday! I must say I really like the way it is laid out so that their is always variety and 3 levels to work at. Sometimes I am working at Jewel's level, sometimes at Nicole's and sometimes at Linsday's. - I guess even sometimes at my own - I find it hard to keep up with some of the lunges I am not very coordinated (although it is getting better) and I am almost 6' tall, so I find it hard to get down to a good lunge at the same pace as the 3 on the DVD.

Today I started over again at day 1 and plan on going through another 28 days - getting ready for vacation in April. I am starting to see some muscle tone coming to this 56 year old body. I plan on seeing my sisters and nieces in Maryland in July - I think they will be surprised at the changes. Been trying to get them into taking better care of themselves. I hope to inspire them to continue (or get back to) what they told me they started a couple of months ago.

Thanks Nicole for putting together such a great exercise DVD!

I finished this program for the first time yesterday, and I have to say that of the workout DVD's I have (and I have a lot) this is the first one that I have stuck with for the length of the program. Coach Nicole made sure that it was varied and have 3 levels of workout ability in each routine. I believe that doing this program helped me get stronger and I lost some weight also.

If I had to rate it I would give it 4.5 stars (lost a 1/2 star because of those dang burpees!) and I would recommend this to anyone - beginner or experienced. I want to mix it up for a few weeks, but I plan to do this again in a month and use a little heavier weight or focus doing more of the things Lindsay does.

Loving Coach Nicole's DVD! I'm 3 weeks in but only doing it 3-4 days a week to mix it up and keep it fresh! I bought the other 2 DVD's Coach Nicole did also for more variety.

Coach Nicole will you be making any more DVD's like 28 Day Bootcamp??

Hope so!

Just gotta say this video is the best fitness purchase I've made in years. Though once very athletic I've gained a lot of weight and had fallen into a sedentary lifestyle. This video is the first program I could stick to in years. At 47 years of age, I've had some spine issues and knees that talk to me sometimes. But I'm always able to modify (not go so deep on lunges) for a great workout and not get discouraged because I'm exhausted or fearfully I'm going to injure my back or knees. . I've jumped back and forth especially on this last week. I've been doing it for two weeks now, making sure I'm ready for the big 60 minute workout for day "28."
I'm not even done yet, but watching my calories and nutrition, and doing these workouts I've already lost 3 inches off my waist. Thank you Coach Nicole!

That comment about your husband saying it's computer generated cracked me up. If only! I would have loved to have not sweated for 12 hours on set to create this program. ;-)

I really loved the DVD. It came at a perfect time for me as I was having a hard time figuring out what I should be doing each day. I love how she incorporates balance and strength and also core strength. I needed alot of work in these areas. I found I enjoy working out like that rather than just straight weight lifting. Now that I am finished I am planning on going back and repeating the last 2 weeks and continue to build on my strength. Thanks Coach Nicole for a great workout!

I love the Boot Camp DVD. I'm on Day 11 following the program. I think Coach Nicole does a great job of describing the next move, and the backup women are ALWAYS right on cue! Some of the moves are tricky, but seem to get easier each time.

As an aside, my (tech-geeky) husband has been watching some of the workouts, and he swears that they are computer generated-guess the moves are TOO perfect....

Oh, my 5 year old is also working through the 28 day plan and finds objects around the house to substitute for weights (favorite was a whisk and spatula)

I finally got to try out the DVD video. I did the warm up and cardio and then the cool down. That was all I was able to do. I am out of shape and I sure can tell by using this video. I haven't started the 28 days yet. Going to just skip around for a few days till I build up a little more stamina. I am going to check out more of the DVD on my computer. But as least I did something today.

It's an awesome DVD and quite a challenge for an ol' 57 year old gal like me! I just completed week one and already feel strength in muscles I've never before toned. Nicole gives ample prompts and reminders throughout to help me focus and keep in proper formation with back, abs, etc. I know in time I will be more coordinated with the footwork and arms. I especially like the choice given with level of ability. Sometimes I follow Nicole, other times I follow Jule. The "off" days come at the right time according to your schedule and gives me the opportunity to do other work-outs or activities. This teaches me to incorporate "exercise" in my daily life.

Thanks for creating this DVD. It's my challenge for February.

I was looking for a new work out video.I was happy to find one from Coach Nicole.I'm still working on the first week. Some of the steps are challenging that's what I like in a work out. Then I'll play some of the older dvd's that I'm used to.

did my review blog this morning for the dvd.....I think it is awesome even though I am mobility limited, I do manage to get in quite a workout. I love your enthusiasm and joie de vivre, Coach Nicole. It makes working out a pleasure.....wellllllllll, much more so than it would be otherwise.... emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
