Jeanne. Your stew sounds yummy!!
Graduation was okay, long and boring!!!! At least our granddaughter is finished! We aren't sure what she is doing about college.

Janet sounds like you really do need to get her in a nursing home but I know from experience that's not easy. Hope you can get some sleep.

We are on our way back to Tally this morning. I am really tired and we have a busy, rest if the week but at least NOTHING planned for Memorial Day weekend!! Hope to make it back today in time for dinner at church.

Have a good Wednesday!

How was the graduation Sandi?

Dinner sounded good Jeanne!!

I have another overnight at my folks tonight. Considering how little I managed to sleep this past night, it will be a challenge. My stepmother really needs to be placed in a nursing home. She is very mouthy about things now and tries to run away frequently. In her mind, she's trying to go home.

We do have other options for vets here and I have been quite dissatisfied with this group. In the time we've been going there, they've lost 3 vets. They move to larger towns which probably means making more money. DH chose them. He was dissatisfied with the vet clinic we took our last dogs to but I really liked the vet we usually saw. DH liked her too but wasn't happy with the clinic owner. I miss the continuity of care.

I had a Master Gardener meeting last night. It was at one member's home. My goodness, she has quite the layout. This morning I will be working with some Master Gardeners. We have some mulch to put down. Maybe some planting too though I don't think we'll be putting in the annuals until June.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Dennis made Stew in the crock pot today for our dinner. Using Lean Pork Ribs instead of Beef. It was good. Got in my Veggies. I had Watermelon for desert, and a piece of Cheese Cake.

Janet, that is so hard. I didn't realize your step-mom was that aggressive. Luckily you are a patient and caring person. Some elderly people are not that lucky to have loved ones that care.
Dennis's dad was throwing things around, but to our knowledge he wasn't biting or hitting. The family moved him down here, and he died within 2 months. I think his body and soul just gave up. Can't say I blame him. Such a sad disease.

Is there another Vet you can go to? I'm not trying to be a bummer here, but the fact that 2 Vets left makes me nervous. If they left on good terms, just wanting to start their own business, then that is one thing. If they left from tension, then that isn't good. Do you know the Vet that will do Molly's surgery? Hope I don't upset you, but I thought that was odd that 2 Vets left.

Sandi, your evening sounds fun. Who graduated? My guess it's someone from Church. I'm just doing things around the house today, and reading. I started a book, and can't put it down. emoticon

We finally have internet after 4 days without!!! It's hard catching up on Spark when I miss that many days!

Janet, so sorry to hear about your stepmother and all you are having to deal with. That is scary that she could overdose but it is also very common. Also hope little Molly is going to be okay. Cancer is such a scary word. I've had two labs that I lost to that disease. Glad she will get a seasoned vet!!!

Jeanne, hope your Sunday is going well. We are off to a graduation party tonight!

I'll be going back down to my folks today to stay overnight. I certainly could use an extra day at home.

We called 911 last weekend for my stepmother because she was nonresponsive. At first, we thought she was just asleep but after several hours and not being able to rouse her, we decided to call 911. I understand sometimes the elderly pretend they are asleep but we thought she was comatose. We think she may have just had too much of the drug the doctor had ordered. It was an as-needed drug but we were having a lot of trouble with challenging behaviors and she would up having her dose (1/2 tab) three days in a row. They did identify a bladder infection which could have contributed to her behavior troubles. Now she is on a mood stabilizer and, although she seems to sleep quite a bit, it has taken away the hitting, biting and running away. She is also eating more which is a good thing. We try to take her for several short walks during the day too.

As for Molly, I keep reminding myself that they mentioned cancer when Charlie had his surgery and it wasn't. One of my Spark Friends suggested the vet wouldn't have waited a month to schedule Molly's surgery if they really suspected that cancer was the problem. True to that but they also called back with an earlier appointment and they are having big changes in personnel. Both of the small animal vets left during winter and they have just have used temps in the meantime. Now, they have a couple of new grads starting in June. The vet tech did make a point of arranging Molly's procedure when a seasoned vet was available. She has seemed more quiet lately but if I mention "walk," she's right at the door. It's hard to complain about a dog that is quiet and does the right thing. It's like saying if they aren't naughty or annoying, they must be sick.

Well, I want to get a few more things done before leaving so I better get busy!!

Sounds like you have been busy Janet. I'm glad the other med seems to be working for your step-mom. Wow, you had to rush her to the ER? Did she get real aggressive or a panic attack? Sure hope Molly's lump is ok. I understand. I would be worried too. Alice has a couple of tiny bumps on her back. Normally I would think "old dog bumps", but since she has had cancer in the past, it has me a bit worried as well. She is acting ok though, so that's good. Try and have a good week-end. emoticon

I hope you got a little more done on the room Jeanne.

I hope the bloodwork went well Sandi.

I am spending more time at my father and stepmother's home. She was taken off the med we got from the doctor after a reaction that scared us enough to take her to the ER a week ago. She's on a new one now which seems to be helping. I'll go back down tomorrow for an overnight.

Molly had a wellness visit at the vet on Thursday and they found a lump in her mouth. Could be nothing. Could be oral cancer. She is scheduled for a dental cleaning on June 1. They'll biopsy the lump at that time. I try not to worry because it could just be an overgrowth of gum tissue but I still worry at times -- you know, the wee hours of the morning and times like that.

Lots of house, inside and out, work to do today. I was by my folks Thursday and Friday and since I go back tomorrow, I suppose I better get moving. Enjoy your day!!

We use 2 small cans of Tuna, and heat it up with Aunt Penney's White Sauce. Toast what ever bread your prefer, then eat it. Maybe not the most nutritious, but it is good. Easy to make.

Great information, Jeanne!

We arrived safely to Orlando and enjoyed my time with my son last night. It will be a busy weekend, tonight is an awards banquet for my hubby, tomorrow my granddaughter's volleyball tournament as well as Sunday. I'm not sure if we will go home Sunday or Monday.

Have a good weekend you two!

Here it is Janet. I found the article.

You may not realize it, but flowers are a part of the buy-local movement—and with good reason.

Seventy percent of the cut flowers sold in the U.S. are imported from Latin America. Though the hot climate is just what the flowers need, those constant high temperatures are also conducive to bugs and disease. Consequently, growers in Columbia, Ecuador and many other countries rely on pesticides that have long been banned in the U.S. to produce flowers worth selling in international markets.

As with other crops, applying pesticides to flowers takes its toll on people, especially on mothers who work in the flower fields when they’re pregnant and unavoidably expose their fetuses to the toxic chemicals. Not only that, but researchers found that children whose mothers were exposed to pesticides during pregnancy tended to have higher blood pressure than unexposed children, increasing the chance of risk of cardiovascular disease later in life.

Consumers may be exposed to those chemicals as well. Roses can contain as much as 50 times the amount of pesticides legally allowed on the food we eat, reports the Environmental News Network. When flowers are imported into the U.S., they’re checked for bugs, but not for pesticide contamination. You could bring a lot of unwanted toxic chemicals into your home when you buy a bouquet produced outside the U.S., particularly when you stick your nose right into them.

Importing flowers from Latin America, Europe, Africa and even Australia and New Zealand has another significant environmental impact: climate change.

Blooms coming from south of our borders may be hauled in temperature-controlled trucks or perhaps flown from one continent to another, stored overnight in refrigerators, then driven on to various marketplaces. In a study done for Valentine’s Day, Flowerpetal.com, an online flower vendor, calculated that shipping 100 million roses around the U.S. generated some 9,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide (CO2). On the other hand, flowers grown in warmer clients do save the energy that might be consumed if the plants were raised in a northern greenhouse.

Still, if it’s possible to purchase flowers grown locally, overall, you’ll probably use less energy, suffer less pesticide exposure and funnel more money back into your local economy. The question is, where to find them?

Farmers Markets – In spring, summer and fall, most farmers markets teem with flowers grown nearby. Some farmers interplant their crops with flowers to attract beneficial insects that will prey on produce-devouring bugs. But other “flower farmers” grow both annuals and perennials as their crop. You can find the nearest source of local flower growers at LocalHarvest.org.

Your Own Yard – As long as you have adequate sunshine and water, you can grow many of the flowers you enjoy, including both perennials and annuals. Real Simple put together this useful guide on how to create a low-maintenance cutting garden that can help you get started.

A Community Garden – Don’t have your own yard? Don’t let that stop you. You can rent a plot of land in a community garden and plant to your heart’s content. The American Community Gardening Association makes it easy to find the nearest locale to you.

Garden Club Swaps – Join the local garden club, where you’ll end up swapping seeds and plants with other gardeners in your community. You’ll save money, get rid of your own excess plants, get access to new plants and keep the neighborhood green and in bloom.

Safe travels Sandi. I'm sure you will enjoy your visit.

Jeanne, Thanks for the link. I'll go check it out now. Well, I tried. I get a message saying the link is out of date. Sometimes I think my computer is just too lazy to look.

Dad appointment today. Not anything too serious. The sun has peeked out a couple of times but we are expecting more rain today. I think I better get Charlie out for a walk soon.

Jeanne sorry you had an allergy attack today, hope your rest helped you feel better.

Tomorrow we are traveling to our son's house in Orlando so won't be on,I've much. I'll try to check in when we get there.

Janet I too, hope your MIL is helped by the medication. My friend is taking something and so far she is pleasant to be around you just can't carry on a conversation with her, so sad.

Janet, I hope the medication helps too. Hope your MIL will be more at peace now.
Flowers put me in a good mood as well. Janet if you buy flowers for a vase, see if they have a label where the flowers are from. I just found out some info, and I was surprised on the info.

I think we finally have everything taken care of. The water company guy couldn't find anything wrong so we go the one that put in our sprinkler system to check things out. He had to do a lot of repairs but it should all be working good now. FINALLY!!!!

I love buying plants too but we aren't going to put in anything here but will get some potted plants when we get back up to the cabin.

Jeanne, hope you and Munchie can get your walk in today. I did two Tai Chi classes since I'll miss so much.

My stepmother did get a medication to help with the combativeness yesterday. I hope it is helpful. Her appointment yesterday was with her new internal medicine doctor and that woman was fabulous. Very helpful, lots of practical ideas. I sure wish we'd had her when this all started.

So, yesterday went well but it was a very gloomy day. It rained all day -- we are expecting three days of rain but today is more off and on. I would love to share some rain with you both.

Shopping for flowers helps perk me up too. I hope you get out for your walk today Jeanne.

Did that service guy come without too much waiting Sandi?

I have an out of town appointment this afternoon. Or at least I expect to. The person I'm seeing is pregnant and her due date was the 9th so I can't say for sure until I get there and we make it through the appointment. LOL

Dennis's dad was put on medication for his Alzheimer's. He too got very combative. Wish I could remember the name of the medication. That was so long ago. Both of our parents are gone too.

I didn't get in my walk today, but hope to get up early tomorrow for our walk. I did buy some plants today though. That always perks up my mood!

Janet, Your folks are so fortunate to have you to help them. Both my parents and hubby's are no longer living so we don't have that responsibility anymore. You are so sweet to help out.

No rain here either, we sure need it too.
We are having water problems again. Our sprinkler system isn't working right so I've called the guy who installed it years ago to come check it out. We really depend on it when we are at the cabin, to water everything while we are gone. I was going to Tai Chi this morning but now looks like I'll be waiting on service people! Charles is suppose to have lunch today with a friend so he can't be here.

Jeanne glad your cough is better and I know Huck will miss you and Dennis!!! Have a good walk with Munchie!

Off to get dressed! Have a great day!

This is a two minute quickie as I have to leave to go get my folks and take them to yet another town for a doctor appointment for my stepmother. She is becoming increasingly combative so I think her frustration level is really high. Hope all goes well.

I would love to send some rain. At least Molly and I got out for an almost 30 minute walk this morning and encountered only a couple of rain drops. It sure is windy though.

Enjoy your walk with Munchie, Jeanne!!

No laundry for me today. I got up at 6am, and was out the door by 7. had to take care of Huck. Dennis went up in the afternoon. Dee is back tonight, so we are through until she goes out of town again.
I finally stopped coughing, for the most part, so trimmed my roses today. I still have more to do, but I wanted to get the biggest rose bushes first.
I also am way behind trimming off the dead flowers on my potted plants. Oh, that will take forever lol. Next week we are supposed to be hot. This weather has been so up and down. No rain for us in sight I'm afraid. Janet, you need to share your rain lol. emoticon

I agree with ya'll. It is so sad to see people we care for go through a awful illness. Janet you have been so wonderful to your folks. I know that is hard.

Have a good Tues. I plan to take Munchie for a walk in the hills!

It is so sad to see our friends declining health, that is sad about your friends too, Jeanne.

I had a good Mother's Day, talked to my son and daughter in law and then on Sat.night talked a long time with my daughter. We will be going to Orlando Thursday and home Sunday to see our son and family.

Today is laundry and cleaning so guess I'd best get going!!!

Have a nice Monday, you two!

Jeanne, I think the ratio is 1 tablespoon Dawn to 1 gallon of water. That solution may kill some insect pests but it won't kill as many as oil would. Really though, the problem is likely more cosmetic than anything.

Sandi, Your friend with dementia sounds like my stepmother and my Dad. My stepmother is no longer able to carry on a conversation either. Even sadder when the person is younger.

My weekend was spent with so many in their late 80s and 90s and was rather depressing. It is very sad to see people's bodies and minds break down. It is a good reminder to live each and every day.

I have a day at home today so I'm planning laundry. I also want to get the weeds out of the garden area and work the soil a little. I am not planning to plant yet as I want to wait for the weekend when I'll get the worm castings. Then I plan to work that into the compost before working all that into the garden. I'm not sure what our soil temp is yet but I think I could put in some early crops after I get the soil ready. I think I'll enjoy the outside work more than the laundry but it's necessary :>)

Hope you both have a great day today!! Our weather has been so nice these past few days. I think we are expecting rain for a few upcoming days -- we need it -- but I'll wait to see if it actually materializes.

Happy Mothers Day!!

Janet. I am glad the problem isn't mold. I would hate to take out the shrubs. I do want to try the spray with Dawn. What is the ratio? Water/ soap. Does the soap kill aphids as well?
Glad you saw your parents. Hope the visit went well. I also hope your Aunt feels better soon.

Sandi. That is sad about your friend with dementia. Her poor Hubby.
I have friends that I grew up with. There were 3 girls in the family. Mary, who graduated with me (68)..DeeDee who is about 5 yrs. younger then Mary, and Jen who is 8 yrs. younger then DeeDee. Their Mom died of Alzheimer's years ago. Mary came down with it within the last 5 years, and just recently Jen was diagnosed with it. My mouth flew open when DeeDee told me of Mary and Jen. DeeDee and I lost touch for a few years, and we have re-connected. DeeDee took her Dad's side, while Mary and Jen always looked like their Mom. Crazy how that can run in families.

it's windy and cool here again today. Such crazy weather. Especially since we had Spring early this year.

Happy Mother's Day to you two also!

Janet, sounds like you and the pups had a nice walk. Yesterday was so nice here that I enjoyed my walk more than usual!!!
Sorry to hear about your aunt, hope she will be much improved soon and it is good that it wasn't worse.

Jeanne, what are you doing today??? We had church then lunch at Zaxbys with another couple. It's so sad, the wife is younger than I am and she has dementia already. It's almost impossible to carry on a conversation with her as she will just say she doesn't remember or know what we are talking about. I feel so bad for her husband who has to do everything now. Her only chore is washing the clothes and I'm not sure how much longer she will be able to do that. He is recently retired and had planned for them to travel but that is out now.
So sad

Happy Mother's Day to both of you!!

Charlie came with Moly for our walk this morning and we walked a very long walk. We'll be gone quite awhile today while we are at John's mom's house so the dogs should be mostly tranquil. The lilacs are blossoming now so it was a very fragrant walk. Much better than the liquid manure we've been "treated" to lately.

Jeanne, The white mold is probably less likely to be due to insect damage. You could skip the oil if you wanted or even mix a bit in with the soap when you spray. You don't need very much soap. I can't remember if I mentioned that Neem oil isn't toxic to birds or mammals but is to fish. I'm glad you are feeling better!!

Sandi, The turkey in the crockpot sounds good. Thanks for letting us know how you cooked it. How are Charles' eyes doing?

Yesterday's work at the gravesite went well. I stopped by my folks and they were on their way to see an aunt of mine. She had a stroke about a week ago. It was very mild, fortunately. She is in post acute care now with some weakness in her left arm and leg. Enough that walking unaided is a bit difficult now but she is hoping to go to her own home soon. We also visited with an old friend of Dad's who was also at this place.

Today I am hoping my mother in law will feel up to going to the greenhouse. It has been a tradition but she wants to go out less and less. If we go, I plan to buy plants :>) Maybe I can even talk John into taking me there on our way home if MIL doesn't want to go.

It was my first time and it was really good and juicy. It was 11lbs and it cooked 2 hrs on high then 4 on low but that was too long. Two hours on low would have been enough after 2 hrs on high.

Well we were both tired from cleaning the porch today and didn't feel like showering early and getting ready to go out. I had fixed a small turkey in the crock pot (my first) so we had a sandwich and salad instead! I just didn't want to fight even the day before crowds!!! emoticon

Glad to hear you are feeling better Jeanne, so glad you were able to walk Huck.

We aren't doing anything special for Mother's Day as we will celebrate next weekend in Orlando with our Son and family. My daughter is suppose to call this afternoon for our chat. We may go to Beef O'Brady's tonight for dinner, they have really good salads, grilled seafood etc. Tomorrow will be so crowded I don't want to go anywhere (except church)!!

Happy Mother's Day to both of you and your two legged and four legged children!

Yes, Zoey loves our mountain walks. We had a nice walk here this morning though, the weather is in the low 70's for a day or two then almost 90. Yikes! that is too hot already!

I think it is mold, but it is white. Not black. You did give some good suggestions, so we will try that. We have a nice size sprayer. This gives me hope. The Hedges are under a pine tree for the most part. If we decide to take out those hedges, and find something new, our nursery's carry plants for our zone. Plus I can always google for plants etc. It would be funny if it ended up to be bird poop. I didn't consider that, but I'm not sure. The white spots are on the bottoms of the branches as well. Thanks!

Dennis made his own compost bin last fall, and he added pine needles from our trees, leaves etc. I suppose we had earth worms. We usually have those here.

Sandy, you do get in good walking at the mountains. I agree, Zoey probably likes that!

Happy Mother's Day, rather it be 2 legged kids, or 4 legged. They are all our babies. Dennis is working, so we won't be doing anything big. If the wind isn't blowing we might bar b q. If not maybe we can order Fajitas to go from Chili's. They are awesome!

I am feeling better. Thank goodness. I got up at 6am, to let Huck out. I played ball with him, plus trimmed some of Dee's roses. She will be home Monday late afternoon.

A stay in the mountains sounds wonderful, Sandi. I bet Zoey likes it more when you walk than when you go to Tai Chai. I know you'll miss it though.

Jeanne, I'm going to assume the mold you were talking about is black. It most likely isn't mold but is the excretions from aphids, scale or whiteflies. Is the hedge under a tree? Sometimes the tree has pests and the hedges pay the price. If there is no tree, you can spray the hedge with neem oil. It is not toxic to birds or mammals but it is to fish so maybe you don't want to use it then. If you do, be sure to spray in the early evening or at least not in direct sunlight. The leaves will burn then. The next day or so, spray the leaves with a solution of dishwashing soap and water (Dawn is nontoxic). Around here we would just wait for rain to wash it off but you can also rinse with water after awhile (leave it on at least overnight). You can just try the soap step. That won't kill very many pests but it should make the hedge look better and if you repeat periodically, keep the black stuff from accumulating. If I remember right, the black stuff won't kill the plant but is unsightly.

I hesitate suggesting a plant to you because you live in an entirely different zone than I do.

As for the worm castings, they are just organic matter like potting soil. People who vermicompost keep the worms (red worms) in a large tub (holes in the side) with soil. They feed the worms kitchen scraps. When they want to collect the organic matter, they shine a light in the tub and all the worms will move away from it so you can collect from where they aren't. Here, the tub of worms is kept in the basement which is cool for them but also a constant temp. They'd freeze if you kept them out in the winter. The Master Gardeners in the county I live in sell worm castings to their members. You might ask around to find out if anyone sells worm castings in your area.

My dogs got two compliments yesterday when I walked them. The people were impressed with how well behaved they are. That's always nice to hear.

Happy Mother's Day to you!!! Today I am going to my hometown and clean up my mother's gravesite. Then I will stop by Dad's since I have a gift for my stepmother. Tomorrow we are going by John's mom. We bought her a plant that attracts hummingbirds for her to enjoy this summer. Usually we've taken her to a greenhouse on Mother's Day but she has become so reluctant to leave the house lately.

Looks like you will have your own stretch exercises up there. It's cloudy today. Some areas are getting rain, but so far not here. bummer!

She did enjoy it but also is very confused! I told her I've been going 4 months and I'm still confused! I think she will continue to go in the summer even without me being here. I'm going to really miss the classes but not enough to give up going to the mountains!!!! Hoping to find something up there but that's such a small area for something like that!

My hair is pretty much the same style as its been for awhile. It's easy to keep up even though in not letting it go curly like it usually is! I do put permanent color on my hair. I started graying at an early age!!
Too bad about your hedge hope you can find something natural to take care of the mold.
I have another friend meeting me for TaiChi today. Hope she likes it.

Have a great Friday!

How does your hair look? Luckily, Kathryn does my hair. I put a temporary color in 3 yrs. ago. Time for Kathryn to color it again. I will probably use permanent color this time. My hair is half and half. Half brown, half blondish gray. I get that from my Dad.

Janet. Not sure if you can help me here. We have hedges that go along our driveway, and curve along the walk way that leads to our front door. We have had them for years. This year for some reason, they are molding badly. I don't understand why. Part of me wants to yank them out in fear the mold will spread, but the birds hide in them when they get scared. Do you know of a hedge that doesn't mold, and grows fast? I refuse to use any chemicals.

That is so cute that the pups will share the nylabone! My daughter has sent Zoey 2 elkbones and she really likes those. She is so greedy she would probably manage to bite off pieces of any other kind!!! I wish she would chew on it everyday as it would help her breath!!!!

Today I have a hair appt. and am hoping to get finished in time for TaiChi but it depends on how many distractions my stylist has!!! I don't think my friends will go at the same time I do since one still works and the other is her mother and she wants to go at the same time her daughter does, which is fine. I just hope they end up joining.

It's a busy day so will try to check in later!

I had to look up worm castings. Now I am interested. Only question I have. Is it dangerous for dogs? I think we can put it deep enough in the ground, around our roses. But Henley loves to stick his nose in the plants, and just stand there. Not sure if that will bother him or not. Now that I know about worm castings, we will use it in our garden before we plant anything.

That's funny, your dogs take the bone back and forth. Alice loves the nylon bone. She is the only one though. They are much better then raw hide bones. I wonder if Charlie is taking the bone just for spite lol.

Sounds like the weather is hot (Sandi) and stormy (Jeanne). We are slowly warming up. The days start in the 30s but get to the 60s now. Improvement!!

I mowed the front yard yesterday. My goodness it was long and a bit on the wet side so it was tough going. Looks nice now though. I envy your gardening Jeanne. It is too early to plant yet. At least two weeks but more likely I'll wait till the end of the month. I am getting some worm castings through Master Gardeners and I can pick it up at our meeting May 24. Or, I could drive to the southern part of the county and pick it up May 14. That would be the town my folks live in so it certainly is an idea. I also want to go this month to clean up my mother's gravesite.

A friend of ours gave our pets a box of treats and toys for Christmas. Yesterday I brought out a nylabone. There was only one of those but I gave Charlie an edible treat and gave Molly the nylabone since she is the chewer. Well, Charlie wasn't happy with that and stole it from Molly. No one fights about things around here so Charlie got to enjoy a chew. Later, Molly picked it up and spent some time chewing. Then in the evening Charlie picked it up again for awhile. We are surprised at Charlie's interest. He's never been much of a chewer, especially on something that can't be eaten. Apparently the two of them are able to share that nylabone without fighting so it's all good.

Feel better Jeanne!! I'm so glad you are taking it easy. Very smart!!

I'm glad your friends enjoyed Tai Chai, Sandi. Will they go again with you? I love quesadillas -- I'll have to try the appetizer at Applebee's one day.

Funny, I felt better this morning. I played ball with Huck, and trimmed one of Dee's Rose Bushes to get in some gardening. I needed a nap later on, so Dennis went up for me again in the afternoon. I will go up tonight. I sound like a frog though, and my nose is a bit achy. I guess that is how colds are though. Up and down with how one is feeling. I'm not over doing it though. Last thing I need is to get worse.
We like Applebee's. I wondered about their quesadilla. I should try it sometime. Huck does have a great time with us. He looks so sad when we have to leave. Makes me feel guilty. I might stay later tonight, just so he has company.
Our weather has been so strange the last few days. Thunder heads form, all over. We even had sprinkles the other day. I just looked out side, and it is getting dark again, and a lot of thunder heads. Someone must be getting rain. Wish it was us!!

Jeanne, hope you are even better today. We had church and then went to Applebee's for lunch. I had the quesadilla appetizer and it was good but probably more food than I needed. I know Huck enjoyed the extra attention!!

I even played ball with Huck a bit longer tonight. Glad your friends enjoyed themselves!

My friends did come today and they seemed to enjoy going through some of the first moves. I'm glad too that I didn't have to drive the truck! It's been really hot it already this early in the year. Charles and I went shopping this afternoon and he got some things on sale.
Hope your cold is better by now, they are so hard to get rid of.
