I try to have brown rice- and sometimes quinoa- 3-4 times a week at lunch at work.

Great choice! You just reminded me!

I had brown bread and a veggie burger.

"Brown bread" meaning WHOLE-WHEAT, not just brown colour...

Yesterday I was a bit "flexible." We were out at beach and ordered a "MARGHERITA" pizza. That's all-vegetable. It was THIN CRUST (a GOOD thing), but not whole-grain. Otherwise we would have "starved", so it was a real-life compromise choice. ; )

I'll probably have oatmeal tomorrow morning!

Tom Venuto ("Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle") writes about the importance of LOW-carb, whole-grain foods in our meals. NOT "no-carb"...

Keep checking in, Edelweiss!! All our members, too!

Okay, so today I have black beans in the slow cooker, and a mixture of 1/4c (all measurements are of dry, uncooked rice) organic long grain brown rice, 1/4c organic germinated brown rice, and 1/4c forbidden rice, along with 1.5 cups of no sodium broth and water. It's going to be a yummy day!

I just ate brekkie and had 1 serving of BetterOats Raw Pure & Simple Bare www.betteroats.com/oats/raw/bare/ hot grains cereal with 1/4c organic raisins, a pinch of cloves and pumpkin pie spice, and double the amount of water (I like my oats creamy and the raisins also take in a lot of water as they plump up!).

Such a yummy-rific day!
