MORNING!!!!!! I am still busy at it....lack luster success at trying to be a leader for this team but one must create balance and everything is so hectic still. Lost another pound and I need to really start training for my half marathons, What shall I do?!

I am so sorry....it appears the team is slowly lingering along. Work and life is just eating so much of my time it is hard to get on the computer and do a good job. Things are staying busy for me in with the house and "races" and work. This Saturday I have my first Warrior Dash and I am just hoping not to get hurt.

How was your trip? Hope you are feeling better.

I'm getting sooooo close to that 200 barrier. Lately the weight has been coming off in tiny, tiny pieces and I'm getting a bit frustrated, but I know I'll get there! My official weigh in day is Wednesday but I usually peek on Sunday morning too. I'm at about 204 right now. I can't wait to never see a 2 in front of my weight again. This is the last time!

Still SO, SO Busy! Packing for trip, packing house up for carpet install someday, going to work, did a virtual 5K, and doing so much more! My PF is not healed and barely better. I do not think I will do accupuncture again, I do not notice any difference.

Will right a blog when I return from my vacay next month......Hang in there you can do it!

Wow this week and the next are just a short trip to 10 year wedding anniversary vacay! I so can do this. I want to get 4 more lbs off before we go so that is keeping me on my current program. I believe on December 31st I found a book called the Digest Diet, it is from the lady who also did the Flat Belly Diet. Basically the Digest Diet is a low carb 1200 or so calories (don't know haven't calc'd them) plan. I pretty much have been on plan 90%, and I think I will be going this route until my community biggest loser contest is over....well as long as it doesn't effect my 15K or April Haf Marathon.

Oh this week too I am doing my first "Virtual" 5K, so that will be interesting. My plantar facitis (sp?) is still not healed, I have my second accupuncture appointment tomorrow and I must keep working on my house and other to do's before we go....

I am sure you started fresh and got yourself back on track, just hang in there! Is your family helping you exercise?

I know all about busy! I have struggled the past 6 weeks or so, with the holidays and such. I weighed in this morning and I'm up 1.5 from where I was in the middle of December. I guess 1.5 pounds gained over the holidays isn't TOO terrible, but it sure doesn't put me where I want to be. It's totally my fault though. I just ate too much and exercised too little. Pretty simple, huh?

Starting fresh today, and ready to lose. Good luck with your community competition!

Hi! I wasn't tyring to be MIA here....

So...after the HM a week and a half later I had gotten back on track and then the weigh in at teh end of the week not only was great it was AWESOME! The past 2 weeks I have not been tracking actual points eaten but using numbers in my head. Have not been in the gym as much as I should have been , but got my hour long "walk, jog, run" in and it is still moving the scale!

I have just under 3 months now before my 10 year wedding anniversary cruise and I going to stay focused and driven. Plus my clothes are fitting awesomely and I LOVE THAT!

Yeah those feet can run and ruin our lives I hope they are better now. DH should be back home for you so I hope the kids are in order now :)

I really enjoyed reading your HM blogs. Wish it had gone better at the end with the family stuff. Lesson leared, right?

Have you gotten back on track with your eating? I'm still doing well. I've lost 14 pounds in the 7 weeks I've been here.

I am having a foot problem though, and I hope that doesn't derail my progress. I thought it was just plantar fasciitis, but I'm starting to think it might be something else. I might have to see a doc soon if it doesn't get better. I'm in a lot of pain, right where the arch meets the rounded part of the heel. I have been "wogging" again and racked up a 5.3 miler up and down a mountain trail and then right after that it started killing me. I couldn' t put any weight on it at all. That was a few days ago. It still hurts but not quite as bad. I took yesterday completely off and did upper body ST today, so I'm really trying to rest it and hope for the best. Running is the best thing for me to get weight off though, so I want to get back at it!

DH is in Australia and will be until the end of the month. Single parenting two teenage girls is sucky! They're great kids, but it is exhausting dealing with all their activities and all the mood swings and drama without him to help out.

Vacation huh? Sounds like fun, I have to wait 3 months and 15 days before I head out on a plane....the waiting!!!

Have not eaten on my A game for almost a week now, I need to get it all back into gear and I will. Today going to the gym for the 1st time since the HM.....yay me! My blogs are up, a lot of complaining and other random things.

I can't wait to hear about your half!

Got back from vacation late last night. We had such a great time. I'm going to be extra good today with my food and get in a good workout before getting on the scale tomorrow morning. I hope all the restaurant food, drinks, wedding cake, drinks, travel, and did I mention DRINKS didn't set me back too far!

This week is pretty low maintenance- just the normal stuff we have each week, so it should be a good week for weight loss.

So this week will be both laid back and yet busy. I am getting to the gym Monday for 60 minutes (pissed I forgot my MP3 player!) Tuesday a TRX class 30 min during lunch and then Wednesday 60 minutes Tread in Shed class with some personal treadmill time. (I will remember my MP3 player this time).

Then the remainder of the week I will be relaxing and mentally preparing for the biggest challenge I have assigned myself to date...eek!

Wow! Sounds like things are kind of winding down for you. I have found some races a 15K in March where I will get bling...I am actually trying to find some with bling without them beign all half marathons, then in May I have signed up for a Half...I have to schedule some more but I am trying to find the time to do that.

This week just focusing on normal workouts and then I am going for my last 2 hour (walk/jog) before my first half marathon in 10 days! So the 2 hour workout will most likely be Saturday early morning (ick) before every idiot is on the road trying to run me over. Plus cars at intersections slow me down I do not like that. The next week will just be normal gym workouts of elliptical, TRX class at lunch and then my final Tread and Shed and I won't do anymore after Wednesday.....

Just watching a lot more closely what I am eating to try to get to the 30's before the Half that was a goal I had ....we will see how close I get. Tuesday morning I was 243.8, but Tom is visiting so I will probably have to wait until Saturday - Monday to see the real weight...

I just read your blog from the mud run. It sounds like you had a blast! Great job! I really miss doing 5Ks, but I just don't feel nearly as in shape and confident enought to attempt one for a while. (Once upon I time, about 5 years ago now, I ran them in 28 minutes!) I'll get there again, someday!

Did you find some other good races coming up?

Our show ended last night. I'll miss it, but I'm really glad it's over and life can return to normal. I will definitely have more free time now. Although I still stay pretty busy with vounteering and running my kids around to their things. Tonight my youngest daughter is auditioning for yet another play (this one is is kids only). It's at the really professional theater here, and she has auditioned for things there twice before and didn't get a part. I hate that she goes through that rejection. It's hard on her, but it does teach a good lesson too

I also have my high schoolers parent-teacher conferences this week. Oh joy. I don't know why I still waste time going to those things, just to have the teacher tell me she's great and is getting an A or B in the class. One thing I have to look forward to with her though, is we're going to the Jack White concert on Thursday! So psyched!!

Finally, after weeks of test driving cars and narrowing down what I want, I think I might get a new car! I have had the same car since my oldest was in preschool and now she's in high school!!!!

Well I sure do hope you recover from being sick...that doesn suck, I am trying to fight congestion which I was mucky at the 10K, but did a lot less at the 8K.

The 8K....I got the time I was hoping for, within seconds...I was REALLY happy with everything until I got home waited for the times to get posted and realized I was the LAST in my age division, and only 11 places from being LAST overall of like 533 people....NOT happy with that! emoticon

I did something to my right foot I think I had my laces a little too tight and now I have to wait paitently for whatever I did to repair itself. Next, my pace was even better than the 10K even though alot of that was downhill. This Saturday I have a 5K Girls only Mudd obstacle course, that will be different. I am now scouring what races I will do November and onward since I want one a month and I want ones with medals....

How's it going, Renee? Things are definitely calmer here this week... but I'm SICK! I had been dealing with a sore throat for a few days, but Sunday it erupted into coughing fits, fever, aches, etc. Yesterday I was a zombie all day. I feel a lot better today, but not near normal yet. It has put a crimp in my exercise plan, but I can barely breathe anyway, so working up a sweat isn't really an option right now. We have two more shows, Friday and Sunday this week. I need to make sure I'm well by then!

How did the 8K go Sunday?

That schedule is beyond --- BUSY! Yeah I guess if I didn't work 8-5 and have to waste 2 hours in traffic that would sound comfortable, but you must have your act together to be able to do all of that!

Thanks for thinking about me, after the 10K where I pushed myself so hard even my guts are sore, I am doing and 8K this coming Sunday....why, why, why?!? For a t-shirt, swag (hoepfully good stuff) and money that helps a good cause (check).

This week is insane for me. My youngest daughter and I do a lot of community theater. This week is what is known as "tech week", which means we have 3.5+ hours of rehearsal every night starting with last night and ending in performances Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This is on top of the normal day-to-day stuff I have in my life. Thank goodness I don't work every day too!

So, I probably won't be around much, but I'll be thinking of you!

Renee, that race sounds great. I've never done a 10K. I had done several 5Ks back when I lost a lot of weight and even started training for a half marathon, then I hurt my knee and that started the downward spiral of not exercising and gaining weight.

Your walks are impressive. Where do you go to do them? We live in a very hilly neighborhood, so I walk around here a lot. Because of the hills, you think you've gone a lot farther and then you look at the Garmin and you've only covered 2 miles in a hour! On the brightside though, we have a lot of trails and I like to go up one of our smaller mountains. It's a huge fitness test for me. One day my goal is to make it without stopping! Right now I stop a LOT.

This week for me is pretty typical. I shuttle my kids to after school stuff Tues and Wed. Thursday I either have a 3+ hour play rehearsal or the HS back to school night (I haven't decided which to do yet- both are important!), and I volunteer during the day on Tues and Wed. I also have a dentist appt. on Wed. Friday night we're giving a play preview performance, just one little scene that I'm not in, but my daughter is. During the day Friday I'm meeting a friend to go for a walk. She's not very gung-ho about it, but any movement is better than none!

My exericse plan for the week:

Mon: 60 min cardio + PT exercises for shoulder (DONE)
Tues: 60 min cardio + PT exercises for shoulder (DONE)
Wed: 30 min cardio + PT exercises for shoulder (DIDN'T DO ANYTHING)
Thurs: 60 min weight training, including PT
Fri: at least 60 min cardio- will prob do more- + PT
Sat: 60 min weight training, including PT
Sun: rest

Well I got another 7.5 miles in....tomorrow I am signing up for a 10K, that will be this coming Sunday. I haven't been in a "Race" for quite sometime but it is Pints to Pasta so beer and pasta afterwards, it will be fun. I am also going to try to actually get through it in less time than I have been taking on my Sunday practice walks. I am shooting for 1hr 20 min....lets see how I do, shall we :)

This week I have a lot of volunteer commitments (T, W, Th) two physical therapy appts (M, F) dealing with a rotator cuff issue), and we're having family come visit from out of state Friday through Monday. I have to get my house cleaned up!!!

It's my kids' first full week of school. I have two daughters- one is a freshman in HS this year (ack!) and the other is in 7th grade.

I also have play rehearsal Thursday night for 3.5 hours. My younger daughter and I do a lot of community theater together and we're presenting "Bye Bye Birdie" in a couple weeks.

Finally, it's my first week getting my diet/exercise life back together!!!

Just logged a 7.4 mile walk in less than 2 Hours! I will at that pace definitely finish my half marathon even if I do not jog at all! WooHoo!

Today ends my 2nd successful week on WW. I am very happy that the scale is moving and that is incrediably encouraging. In 53 days I have my first half marathon and I am trying not to be nervous about it. Getting to the gym for 50 minutes at least for 3 days a week is my current realistic exercise goal!

Thanks Onederland4life! Yep that is exactly 2 months from this day. I do not and I know I am not ready, BUT as long as I am mobile I am going to go for it. Joined WW and I think that is making me mentally less likely to keep eating like a little piggy, BUT I have finally gotten to 255 so that is EXCITING! This week get to gym and get in at least 150 minutes in! What is going on with you?

RENZRYD - don't be discouraged :) Completeing a half is a HUGE feat and if you can do it, regardless of how long it takes, you will feel very accomplished. Just keep thinking about crossing the finish line!

Life has been rough, not enough hours in the day and I almost always feel too tired. I still have that half-marathon to do in less than 3 months and do I ever feel poorly prepared AND fat. Oh well, this is just another hurdle and I will get over it, even if I have to trip a few times! Still maintaining, it is getting really old.

My ear is still healing BUT most of the scab has naturally fallen off. I can see the scar but once the scab is off entirely I am going to use some scar cream. I start my new job on Wednesday, I am excitely scared...I've heard my generation doesn't like change or that we stay stagnant....I won't disagree. Working on getting down to 256 this week at least.

Friday late morning, I was doing yard work. Yay for me. And then I slipped and the yard debris bin fell towards me, the lid completely knocked me off my feet and my head crashed into the rim not once but twice! Ear looks like it got chewed up by a dog. The doctor glued the skin back together but now I want to take it easy so I do not mess my ear up so it can heal. Have been nursing myelf. Got a nice walk in this evening not as long as I wanted but DH came with me so that was nice.
So this week, heal ear....walk outside in the morning at least 1 hour and go to work for 4 hours Monday thru Thursday, hope I got the job I just interviewed for.....and Friday go out for a run hoping my shins, calves and ear are better!

To update you on my "running," my shins and calves have created unbelievably painful runs. So bad yesterday when I was doing my trail 5 minutes in, even between all the stops for stretching I just walked to my car it hurt so bad. I then went to the gym to finish my sweat and did strength training on my legs...hopefully that will help some.

Went to Portland Running Company today and bought some Brooks....the wallet is a lot lighter now, but I am hoping in a week after walking in them and getting some elliptical and bike and strength training in I will be up to running again.... (fingers crossed).

Tomorrow is weigh in and Tom is driving away, hope they scale shows the hard work I put in....Had another job interview today, not my dream job but definitely something to pay bills, save up, go on trips, you know the things a couple without kids can do, WooHoo!

I am going to check out one of those BMI, fat percentage scales this week, that way I can also compare my numbers another way..... Going to get to the gym at least 3 days this week, I am going to apply for a few jobs, hold your breath for me I would like any of them as long as the pay is at least 20/hour! They all have bene's so just got to follow through!

Yeah been a little MIA lately..... oh well. I am nearing (hopefully) the last stages of mourning for my deceased stepfather. It has been a long ride and many pounds gained. I got a little tat for him on my lower right foot and now I have to wait another week and a half before I can exercise cause I can't wear socks or ankle covering shoes or I may lose the tat. And then after just as many months without my own car, I bought a new one, it is really hot! So I had better lose the weight so we are totally in sync with each other ;)

So Im all about helping each other stay on track and keeping each other motivated. Life is too short to live this unhealthy, and I feel so great when I stay on track- uh duh! Hello earth to Sherri- its not that complicated so I decided im not going to let it be anymore. :)

Today is my 3rd Day, so far on track of my new program. Haven't been on a week yet but weighing less, mostly water weight probably but all I do is drink water, so that irony is funny. So this week,
1. Stick to program the entire week!
2. Weigh-in Next Monday
3. Write another blog

I want to STOP Shopping While Fat, it is no fun!

2012 Finished my first Half-Marathon. (DONE) 10/7/12 3:24:26
2013 Goal to finish 3- Half Marathons! (DONE)
2014 Goal finish 3 Half Marathons, and my house! And get a Sub 3 HR!
2015 Do at 3 Half Marathons and my FIRST MARATHON December 2015 with my husband!
* Drink 8 Glasses of water minimum!
*Get at least 2000 fitness minutes in!

Went totally off track....that is life. My forehead is healing after a pot fell onto it last week, now my eye is having an allergic reaction to eye drops my doctor gave me, DARN IT!

Sunday started a new eating plan. Down 4 lbs and tom just got here so maybe it will be really inspirational to keep me going! Walking everyday for at least 20 min plus the sweat equity on my home :)

I get my new heart rate monitor tomorrow, I hope it does it's job. and I am trying new things to see if it helps.
