Very awesome!! Sometimes hearing things more than once does help the ole memory.

And the home gym...yes agree (and anyone who is laughing and doesn't say any of that hasn't happened to you - the self conscious; resistance 6 issues), well, if you're laughing then we know you know...

Working towards some home equipment is great, because I don't know how many times I've gotten on my elliptical in PJs at 5:30 in the morning (although I did learn to put tennis shoes on; my slippers didn't work out so well)...but I did, and got a workout in, sometimes my best! If it is something you say you can't afford after checking the prices at your local sports stores, try Craigs list...lots of good stuff on there really cheap, if you have patience (example: I got a practically new basketball hoop for my front yard - the kind you put water or sand in - for free off of CL...moving/divorce sale and they just wanted to get rid of things...priced them at Sports Authority and they were $100 up).

Thanks for the ideas!!!

I don't know if your school records lectures (either in audio form or in video) but could you listen to them while you work out? You wouldn't be able to take notes, but it would reinforce what you'd learned.

Personally, I find that finding the time coupled with the motivation to work out is a huge challenge. I get a membership to the gym, and then eventually I stop using it because it's such a huge pain in the butt to get changed, get down there, get set up, waiting around for machines, and feeling self concious because my shirt just rode up exposing my flabby belly/I look like lobster girl and I'm only on resistance 6/that stretch just made me fart omg....

So what I've done this time around is spent $350 on: a stationary bike, weights bench, a set of dumbbells and an exercise mat to build a home gym for myself. This means that I can either roll out of bed and get straight to it, or at least after dinner I have no excuse not to get on the bike and then do weights. GETTING to the gym is the hardest part, so with mine in the next room, it's instantly a lot easier.

I am in the same boat as you, work FT and school 3/4. That on top of a 13 year old, 6 dogs, and a baby in the belly, my days are full. I have learned to keep checklists and live by them. I also sat down and evaluated my time for a few days, to see if I was truly utilizing my time well. Then I took my schedule and put exercise in it. I realized that if I don't take care of myself, then I would eventually not be able to maintain my pace with everything else.

Some steps for time management:

-To do lists
-On your day off, make a big pot of ... for the week. Grab some tupperware and freeze some, to bring out later on and heat up.
-Plan your meals ahead, and post on your fridge. This will keep you from grabbing the first thing you see (hopefully).
-While you are studying at home, sit on an exercise ball instead of your desk chair/couch/kitchen chair. This works the core and you don't even realize it (it's always the little things).
-While doing dishes/brushing teeth/other, do some leg lifts, calf raises, leg adductions/abductions, or other (these can be found in the exercise area).
-park further away at work or school (or anyplace you drive to)
-when you are at home studying, take breaks now and then and do something for five minutes. I have a pool and will walk around it or do lunges around it...just an example.

Just remember, every little thing helps. If I think of any more I'll post them...hope this gets you started!

Definitely a full schedule!
Other than watching what you eat, there s not a lot I can suggest off the top of my head. It's not like you can do chair exercises while you are in school, or while at work. Pretty hard to do two things at once while you study and still absorb what you are studying.

Don't know how you are eating to suggest some changes there. Go for low carbs if you have a choice

Sorry I can't be more helpful. Maybe someone else has some ideas for you. Good luck!

You swore and said,
"We are not,
We are not shining stars"
This I know,
I never said we are

Though I've never been through hell like that
I've closed enough windows to know you can never look back

If you're lost and alone
Or you're sinking like a stone
Carry on
May your past be the sound
Of your feet upon the ground
Carry on

Carry on, carry on
