Hey everybody, I met my goal of achieving 2,000 fitness minutes in 4 weeks emoticon
I'm so excited! When I originally set the goal, I set it for like 360 thinking that was a lot, then I blew right through that, so I set it for something outrageous like 2,000 and I actually met it - I can hardly believe it!!!! I did it today with 40 minutes on the cycle at 20mph - sweatin my butt off so much my eyes were getting salty - LOL!!!

Judigirl - Congrats on meeting your 10 lb goal.

Cdragon - Look at how far you have come in one month. That is amazing! I think your body is just taking a moment to rest.

Bear - Way to go on losing 11 lbs.

cdragon - take heart hon. remember, our bodies go in cycles forever so all of us have one time of month where we may gain a little bit, whether we are in menopause or not. Water gain is natural around that time of month, I am sure you will see a drop next weigh in. Just stay on track, keep doing what you were doing. If it makes you feel better drop one or two starch choices a day to make sure you have a loss.

thanks ksandiego! it feels very good to know I can overcome all my obstacles and do this!

Thats great judi! congrats to you too!

Wishing everyone a great next weigh in!

Well it's weigh day again, this week I had a half pound gain but when my measurements are down an overall 8.75 inches for the month so yay! I didn't have any significant changes in eating or working out this week so I can only assume it's my first plateau. Bummer, but I'm sure I can plow through it.

Whoop! RICOCHETBEAR! Way to go on nailing that goal!

You too, JULIETTECAKE!

I met my 10 lb goal this morning. If you had asked me Dec. 29 if I was going to ever "get fit", I would have said, "I'd like to but I don't have the time, energy or belief that I can." But this month has been wonderful!

I weighed in this morning and was delighted to be down 2 pounds this week. What a relief after losing nothing last week. On the other hand, not losing did make me exercise more often. I am down 8 pounds for the month.

Happy Monday all. Well just like I thought, been stuck at 157 for 4 days now, but I'm still working on it. Joined the quickfire challenge to help boost things up a bit. We have the SDTeam Spark rally Sat, so I'll be walking 6 mi then, and if it ever stops raining darn-it I'll get back to doing my power walks around here. Mean time I'm doing my fitness DVDs and ST. For those of you who like soup - I posted a delicious ZERO-FAT creamy cauliflower-carrot soup in the recipes section - its FAB! Give it a try. Have a great week everyone!

You are doing great too! Losing weight is one thing but maintaining a new lost weight, whether a large amount or not, is just as hard! You have done well to still maintain it over a week of not tracking what you ate. Proves that some of your new found habits are working because you didn't gain

Everyone is doing a great job!

I stayed the same this week - I worked out a little harder, but didn't track what I ate like I should have, and got a little lazy with things. This week will be better! I planned out lunch and dinner - two new soup recipes to try in the next couples weeks - one of them I found on sparkrecipes so we'll see how that is.

Hope everyone has a great week!

You are doing so well but you are right, the next 10 may be harder to lose. Just be diligent and stay the course you ve been on, especially if you plateau! Usually if you plateau, it s only for one week or maybe two, but if you remain consistant, that does change. You can step up or change exercises, that also helps
Just a little forewarning! I know its frustrating when things slow down or plateau, don't let that work on you

well 3 weeks down and I've lost 10 lbs - woo hoo! Happy about that. But I do know that the next 10 will be a bit harder, they've been sittin on me a lot longer - LOL! On the other hand, I'm more up for getting rid of them now than I was 3 weeks ago, so I'm up for the challenge. Thanks for all your support Bear - you're terrific! Have a nice weekend!

Jazzer kim, maintaining is good to, you know! To hold on to pounds already lost is better than gaining some back and having to relose them. Nice work!

Weighed in and maintained from last week to this week, but that is okay. Had a very up and down week at work and I did some better some days than others. I have lost a total of 7 lbs so far which is still a reason to celebrate! I am getting very close to my first goal.

Just found you guys. I joined on 12/27/11. I have lost 8.2lbs so far. I weigh in on Tuesdays.

I had originally planned to wait until after the new year but I couldn't stand it one more minute. Was feeling so yuk in my own skin. It is amazing how much better I feel already. I have a long way to go but I am feeling good about it.

Congrats on all your weight loss.

Juliette- its just as hard to maintain as it is to lose! I count those just as much as losing as it means you are learning new habits otherwise you would be gaining

No weight loss this week. I am exactly where I was at last week, but total loss is 6 pounds. I am going to work on eating 3 meals a week 7 days a week. I have noticed that on weekends I am skipping meals because we are busy. Also, I will be gradually reducing my caffeine intake.

Bear, I'm glad you lost the 1/2 pound. Losing weight during a stressful week is difficult. Way to go! emoticon

Hi everyone. Well I'm glad to say I didn't gorge out at Benihana's last nite and even brought home half, but I did go way over in calories w/all the shots everyone was buyin me for my B-day -- but on the bright side we're all doing another power walk Saturday so hopefully I'll burn it off then. Anyway I'm down 6 lbs total for 2 weeks - so I'm happy.

Weighed in today and down 4.4 lbs for a total of 8 lbs since starting 2 weeks ago! What a great first 2 weeks. I have a calender that I hang on my bathroom door that I record my weight, cups of water that I have drank, freggies eaten, and exercise each day. It helps keep me accountable and also gets my husband involved.

Congrats to everyone who is seeing progress!
