Did the Wednesday weigh in and lost 1lb for the week and a total of 5lbs since starting with the "Christmas class."

One pound is not much for a week but I could have gained weight easily based on my weekend-- went away with friends, there was pizza, drinks, and a group Italian family style restaurant meal where it was hard to be picky without being 'difficult'- let the group choose the food and I tried to do portion control....no gym time logged either.

So good job to fellow class members and remember even a 'bad' weekend might not end as poorly as one originally may have feared!

Wow! It looks like all those reporting lately have had great success. Way to go everyone! I am down six pounds this week. I know it is early and these first weeks the weight comes off faster, but I am going to celebrate these pounds today just as much as I will be celebrating the one and two pound losses in a month or two. :-) Keep up the great work everyone.

I missed posting my weight in on Monday. I had company and we were in a place with no internet. (How primitive) Anyway I weighed and stayed the same. I was so discouraged. I worked so hard to try to take the pounds off last week. But on the good side even though the scales didnt show it, I know I have lost because I can now pull my pants off without undoing the buttons or zipper. I couldn't do that last week. Yay go me!

Wow! Everyone is doing great! I have lost 3 lbs in my first week, and without too much heartache. I've eaten better, but probably eaten more just to get all the nutrients in. I think I can do this without feeling like I'm missing out on something, and I'm excited about that. If I can average 2 lbs a week, I'm going to be thrilled. :)

My first (official) weigh in today. Week one was a write off with Christmas and new year so I've only really been at this for a week.

Well I'm happy to say I lost 5lbs since joining. The first week I gained 1lb due to too much food over Christmas (surprised it wasn't more TBH) so this week I've actually lost 6lbs but one of them doesn't count :)

I'm really pleased with my result this week, it's a good kick start. I'm hoping to lose about 2lb per week from now on. I'm still just into the 'overweight' category on the BMI scale, I want to get significantly into the 'normal' range so I'm not constantly hopping either side of it.

I tend to weigh myself every day but only log it once a week. I know some say this is a bad habit, but for me, it keeps me motivated. If I have a gain one day, I know I have to try extra hard to get rid of it.

Well, best of luck everyone, here's to a great week. Go team Christmas :) x

dizzydilly - I think that s why we are all logging into the main threads of weigh-ins and need buddies, cause there is no daily chat thread. I am not a leader here though I have started a few threads, I started the how are you thread for two weeks to see how it goes.....I don't want to be presumptious and step on toes all the time by starting all the main threads.

Jazzerkim! - glad you are doing so well and lost 3.6 lbs! Yayyyy! and the coming week will be just as good for you if you keep doing what you are doing!

losingforme - nice! hope you enjoy the bootcamp DVD!

Keep it up everyone! Let's get through the next week even lighter!

My weigh in was today and I did better than I hoped. I find the tracking a big part of it for me. I seem to not snack as much when I have to track it. I hope everyone had a good week and today is the start of another one. I get great motivation from ready everyone's posts but I have a question. Does our Class of December 25-31, 2011 have a "Daily Chit-Chat" General Team Discussion? I believe it would help me to be able to post something every day and to read how everyone else is doing. Please let me know where to find it.
Thank you and Have a great Week. emoticon

I weighed in this morning at a 3 pound loss. I also had a scale that fluctuated about 5 pounds, so I traded it in for a new digital scale. Unfortunately, it read my weight up 7 pounds. So, I have just been counting since buying the new scale. (down 3 with the new scale). As discouraging as seeing a 7 pound weight gain is, I am glad I did it now rather than waiting until later when my weight loss will slow down. I don't think I could handle it, when I plateau. I like weighing every day, too. But, I have learned that I can't, as it is just too discouraging. I like to try for about twice a week. I also like the weight tracker. The graph is a nice visual, as long as there is a general downward trend, I'm OK. I spike now in then in the graph is pretty normal. After all, what is life with out a few bumps in the road. emoticon

Alright. I'm in. My weigh-in day is also Wednesdays. Not sure why. It just is.

I was down 1 lb in my first week. Given that I actually didn't start the nutrition part until the day before my weigh-in, I'd say that's good! (I was tracking somewhat, but not faithfully. It was hard to do that with NYE and the annual Winter Classic gathering. So I started tracking faithfully 1/3.)

I think this is a great idea. I need to restart my weights probably on Monday will be my first true weight. I was using the scale at home but every time anyone in the family steps on it shows a difference or 5-10 pounds. I am hoping it is not right!! I will use the scale at the gym starting Monday. Good luck everyone!!

I will join you too. My weigh in day is Monday. I dont really know why but it just is. My start weight on Dec 29 was 208.5 lbs. On Monday morning I was 205. I will weigh again next Monday. I have access to a scale like the one you use at TOPS Bear. It is in the fitness room at the RV resort I live in.

Hello! I joined (again) on Sunday, but generally stick to weighing on Saturday, so I'll probably stick to that. I tend to check once during the week just to see how things are going, but I keep the Saturday reading to record, regardless if up or down.

This is the umpteenth time I've done SP - had success, but let stress, etc derail my efforts, so I'm back and this time for good.

Ha ha ha tretra! funny girl!

thanks for joining in with us ladies!

Yummylife bravo on the 5 lbs lost!
Zuzuspetal - funny about that 10 pounds! We use a doctors scale as well for our TOPS club weighins and I remember one time, our weight recorder was not really with it and had the lower bigger weight 50 pounds light....well I was gaining and gaining as she was trying to accurately weigh me. I was getting upset- wondering how I could have possibly gained 10 no 15 no 20 pounds when she finally noticed the mistake! Certainly shakes up your world lol, though at least it is something we can laugh at later!

Keep up the good work every one!

I like the idea of the Wednesday weigh-in! I use a doctor's scale at my gym which I misread by 10lbs (too much) the 1st time I used it- caught my mistake the next day - fastest 10lbs I ever lost- haha!

I have lost 4 real (hopefully) lbs since I first weighed in last Wed Dec 28th.

Like others have said here, I might occasionally sneak a peek before a week transpires...it can be motivational after logging gym time, but I know water weight etc yo-yos during the week.

I am tracking nutritional info every day and for better or worse (New Year's events) I find that it is helping me make better food choices even in tough circumstances.

Sending encouragement to Class of 12/25-31/11!!

I too am weighing on Wednesdays (just because that's the date I joined :-)) This first week I am down five lbs! I like to weigh in once a week at the same time each day (usually right before I jump in my morning shower), but will occasionally sneak on the scale on an
in-between day. :-( In the beginning that is generally fine because I lose a bit each day, but further into the journey it only makes me discouraged since I don't see the pounds dropping off as quickly. I am going to try really hard to stick to once a week.

Flying KIWI, great idea taking the batteries out of the scale. You can go one step further and give them to hubby or someone else that will only let you have them back once or twice a week. Think about how exciting your weight loss will be when it's left a surprise until weigh in day!

RICOCHETBEAR (I think I spell this differently everytime I type it.) love the idea of sharing our weight losses on a thread.

wow! that would be a hard obsession to live with! Your body fluctuates in weight all day long with the consumption of foods and water/tea/coffee and also the elimination of body wastes.Even if you weigh once a day, it should be the same time of day with either the same clothes or nude to keep the number accurate for proper measure..most clubs tend to stand by the once a week same time and clothes for weighin.

I personally think the way you are doing it is setting your self up for a big fail, of course this is only my opinion. please be careful.

hey there .. today I weighed in at 86.6 kgs (down from start weight of 88). Am really really bad at weighing myself numerous times throughout the day so have been taking battery out of my scales to stop my wee obsession.
Will try and cut down to weigh just every couple of days so I know I am going in the right direction!

xx
