I started up again. I'm down a couple of pounds this week. I am actually finding inspiration this time around. I don't care about healthy-I don't care about weight-I want a cool before and after picture!!!

I'm joking, shhh...not really.

I am truly inspired by a lot of the success stories I am reading. I have been spending time looking at peoples pages and their pictures, and that is driving me. Sometimes, I feel like I am intruding on others space, than I realized that if they did want me there, they would block to friends only, as some have. I have my pages open for all, I don't have a lot going on there, but I really don't mind who comes in and visits.

I just dropped by our starter group to add a quick note, but I now feel that the above is Blog Worthy, so I am going to add it there as well...I wonder if that is bad Social Pages form?? oh well...

Matt

none-nada-zero......

Unless you want to count weight gain as progress, which I don't....

Lost the drive to do anything about weight loss, hoping to get back into it. I did a blood test last week and I am scheduled to see the Dr on Friday....we'll see what happens from there.

Stopped snacking in the evenings, and today I decided to get back to logging my food and start drinking water again.

No real progress in the weights and measures area, but am starting to have a more positive attitude, something I had been lacking for the past month. May be my mind set, but I'm crediting this great weather we are having in central Illinois.

Nicely done Lindsey!

I'm just maintaining right now, I did pick up on my exercise, but I'm traveling for work and skipped it last night...no excuse, they have a treadmill at the hotel.

I'm so glad you are keeping up with it! I've been pretty inspired by your progress.. Just wanted you to know and I hope to let you know tomorrow if I've made any progress! I'll be weighing tomorrow for the first time in a week after actually making a SIGNIFICANT effort.

Take care!

dropped a few more pounds and made it into the hundreds. Slowed down on the exercise and really need to get back at that. I'll have to look at see if they are kicking off another 28 day challenge, if not, I may just start my own.

Just found this little team on my page - still figuring everything out! Tried to go through and see who was active and made it after they put in their email and signed up for this spark people thing. I'm really digging it - its taken me a good two months to really decide to do the work but for three weeks have been steady and solid at the gym and (mostly) what I've been eating. No progress to report really yet, just that I FEEL good. That, in itself, is an awesome feeling.

Soooo many people signed up this week but I was lucky to see two profile pics per page! Oh well, they're missing out!

@FFusco, awesome to hear that you are feeling the same "healthy living advances" as I am.

Take care!

No scale-variety progress of late, but plenty of healthy living advances. I have discovered a newfound commitment to take care of myself, and the dividends are already paying. I am taking my time with this and all, have a healthier outlook, and generally have been making good food choices most of the time. Meanwhile, exercise is becoming a constant again and I am looking to make more time for it, which is always a good thing.

It's the small victories that keep us going.

I scaled in at 200lbs this morning...I have not seen that weight for a long time. I have the drive to keep going, I'm so close to the 100's that I can't stand it. This is definitely a motivator for me. Not only do I want to weigh in under 200lbs next week, I want to stay there.

Well I am still here. Not loosing as much as I like as quickly, but getting some habits in place like logging my food and workouts. This month focusing on consistency. I've lost a few pounds but definitely inches, I feel it in my clothes.

More bad form....I just want to post somewhere....

I did not meet my short term goal, but I am ok with it. I weighed in at 202 this morning, and I have accomplished some other things month, most notable is the exercise streak.

Well, I'm not stopping, next few days are going to "off", in more ways than I care to deal with it, but that's what we do, we deal.....

Take care,

Matt

I know it's bad form to reply to your own post....but I didn't want to start a new thread when this one is available......

I am still heading in the right direction. I have completed week 3 of the 28 day/January Kickoff/10 Minutes a Day challenges. This is new territory for me, I normally don't last this long, I get sick, hurt myself, or just plain quit...but not this time.

I also lost a couple of pounds, I'm down to 203. This weight is my bane, I have been here before and could not progress past it. But, I have never had the momentum that I have right now.

It also appears that I will not meet my first short term goal. I wanted to be under 200 by the 28th. I could probably do something stupid like not eat for a couple of days, but that would not be a sustainable loss, and I won't cheat myself. Well, not discouraged, I just need to push it out a week or two.

No progress last week. In looking at my logged meals, it's no wonder. I was on the high side, if not over, on my fat for to many days, and yesterday was an overall bad day. I weigh daily, and I was hanging out at 204 all week, but since today is my "official" weigh day, I have to be honest and go with what the scale says.

This range (203-205) is where I seem to have problems. I will be stepping up my exercise this week, which is something I've never been that great at, so I hope that makes the difference.

I'm not whiny or upset, I see where I made a few poor choices. It was mainly in the evening snacks. This is where being honest with yourself and logging all of your food comes in handy.

I will do better this week.

Inspiration is abound from the good folks on this site. If Spark People rock, then you are Axel Rose.

As for me, I have lost three pounds since joining SP right around New Year's Day. But as I write in my latest blog entry, I am cautiously optimistic--to borrow a phrase from stodgy economists and politicians--and for good reason.

Feeling good and making progress, with a bit of help from my new friends, virtually or otherwise...

I completed the first week of the 28 Day Boot Camp Challenge. I am also using this for the Juanuary Kick Off and 10 Minute a Day Challenges. I won't weigh in until Monday morning, but I know I was down to about 4 lbs from last Monday.

I just need to get through this weekend...I was bad tonight and ate a second helping of spaghetti, mind you, 1 helping is 2 servings for me...but it was good, it has been awhile since we had it. No regrets, I still did not go over for calories for the day, just fat. So I did a little cardio tonight that I was not planning on doing.

I did not have a scale when I signed up for spark people at the beginning of this month. The last time I weighed was sometime in November and it was 188 lbs. I remember it because I was almost back to the most I ever weighed. I bought my scales today, set them up and stepped on them. I am down 11 lbs!!!! They read 177 lbs. This makes me happy, and I am ready to become physically fit in 2012 and lose the rest of the fluff! :) Happy New Year's Everyone!!!!

I have not done much the past couple of weeks. I decided that I was just going to try watch what I eat a little and get serious at the start of the year. So, no exercise, didn't track my foods, logged on daily to spin the wheel, and I've lost 2 lbs since the last whining (I mean post).

I was on medication which made me put loads of weight on. But after some consideration I decided to stop the meds without hurting my health and the weight came off. I have decided to walk more because I really need to and its the only exercise I can do with exaserbating the pain in my knees and I am following the nuitrition sheets much more closely than I used to. So I am pleased to say that I lost 1.5 kilos and 3 inches. This can only give me more encouragement. Every pound we lose is lost and if we are positive then it will stay lost even if we don't lose more as quickly. emoticon

That is exactly what gets me off track of diet/exercise plans... working hard and not registering a positive change. It gets me discouraged and makes me want to comfort myself with food.

But, I am trying to get beyond those emotions that come with disappointment. I only lost about a pound my first week but I am trying to stay the course! Not easy!

I've lost one pound, which doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was the one pound that made it possible for me to comfortably button my size ten work pants. So I was pretty excited about that.

Didn't have the greatest week but in the end I lost 3 pounds. emoticon I had final exams for school and a family crisis to deal with this week so I ended up spending most of the week not eating because of nerves. When I did eat I let myself have anything but found that I tended not to be craving a lot. The crisis seems to be solving well and my last exams were yesterday so this week I want to focus on logging some serious time at the gym and reviewing my diet to start making changes for better health.

I thought I was doing good, was running 207 all week, and then weighed in this morning at 210. I did lose 2 inches at the waist, and it is still 3 lbs down from my start, but it really takes the drive away, I will probably skip my work out tonight. I started a new project implementation today, so in a couple of hours early. I'm tired, plus I'm not eating lunch, no time for it unless I want to run over to a fast food or chain place.

Done whining...

Matt

I started last Wednesday and already feel better! My face isn't bloated ( I lose there first-yeah). I am very aware of the foods I choose and whether I can enjoy popcorn with a weekend movie or just a caffeine free diet coke..after my water of course. Weighed in Sunday and I had lost a pound. More than likely water weight but hey I feel better and it's a Monday.

Getting out and walking is great, especially if you need to blow off steam from the rest of the day and remind yourself why you are keeping your diet on track. Way to go getting out there and good luck with today's plans!

I have setup my spark page, started earning spark points, signed up to some spark teams so I am making progress. Today is Day 2 for me and it was a doozie. I started off on track and then everything blew up with an irritable patient at the end of the day to make my day end yucky, then my daughter borrowed my car and let the battery run dead, all before I even figured out what was for dinner! I didn't do very well with dinner which made me feel bad because I was on such a good roll today with everything, but then even though I was exhausted and didn't feel like it I went out and walked a mile in 19 minutes in the cold at 8:30 at night just so I could feel I accomplished that at least today. I only went over my calories about 200 and my fat about 40 grams.... like I said I blew it all with dinner. Tomorrow I will plan my meals better and hope for an even better day. Overall I feel I did make some accomplishments though and I feel the spark! :)

Everyone comes into this Spark Team this week, all with a different story about where you are on your journey to a healthier, happier you. I can tell some of you are really jumping in and setting up profiles, adding pictures, blogging, and posting messages.

Use this thread to tell us about your progress. It can be as simple as I have tracked my food for the last two days or I've lost 2 pounds since I started.

Look forward to hearing how everyone is making changes, building new habits and moving forward!
