Label Reading! I am doing really well on my tracker, and I'm being more mindful about reading the labels on things. I was really craving a waffle, so rather than my normal "grab the generic buttermilk frozen waffles" I ended up going with the more expensive Eggo Whole Grain Low Fat. Then I bought some Mrs. Butterworth's light syrup. Also more than double the cost of what I would normally spend (Oh well, I'm worth it ), I wouldn't want to eat them everyday, but I cut over 100 cals and a handful of fat grams by being mindful about the brand I chose and measuring my syrup (only used 1/2 serving).

My new habit is walking :-) So all along I thought the route I walk in my neighborhood was every 2 laps is a mile, well I routed it on a map and it is actually every 1 lap is 1.1 mile So I walk 4 laps, and that means I have been walking 4.4 miles every night. Maybe I will walk one more time up the street behind me and back to my house, that would be 5 miles. That is awesome :-)

Instead of setting about to break bad habits I'm working on makin new good habits. I'm finding they don't leave as much time for the bad ones. Since joining Sparkpeople my first new habit I'm working on is taking the stairs instead of the elevator whenever I can. So far I've walk the four flights everyday to the lunch room. What new habits have anybocy else started?
