For myself, MeTime is any time I take to do something that is totally for me, myself and I! LOL! I get up earlier each day so I can have my prayer time in silence, and I play hookie from work every once and a while and go eat a meal by myself, or go shopping. I do not even tell my dear Hubby what I am doing. Occasionally I tell him I will be late getting home, by an hour or so, and go eat with a few girlfriends. I'd better explain... my DH has had several strokes and is very "possessive" of me. He has had some major personality changes, and it is often better if he doesn't know what I am up to. I have to make sure I am home at exactly the time I say I will, or he gets agitated and afraid. So having MeTime is a very important part of my day, as it helps me to lovingly cope with our "new normal" at my house. That said, I would suggest a Me Time for everyone. You are the only one who can take care of YOU! And to be successful on this journey, you need to be happy with being with just YOU!. Me Time helps you learn to love YOU, and discover who you really are. Everyone is unique and has different needs. Take the time to try new things and develop a Me Time that is tailored to YOU. As you evolve and change, so will your Me Time. The first thing is to start! Schedule some time, even if it is only 15 minutes of doing nothing! We do not change over night. So be patient with yourself! There is not right or wrong way to have Me Time! Go with your heart! May you find what works for you, and KEEP SPARKING!
Step into the unknown with confidence! Trust that in the darkness of that first step there will either be something solid to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly! Nothing tastes as good as living with less pain feels!
