I am not sure if this team thing is still going, I have had a bad time, gaining some weight, so I am now making a more serious effort, by tracking everything, and by walking 25 minutes each day.

My pudgy fingers are crossed!

On your "60" reunion day. Share with us...

a few days late but here it is...

#1. What has been the biggest change for you since last month reunion?
Biggest change I think is going down another jean size. I now am wearing a size 18 jean.

#2. Share your "aha", "new", or "best" achievement to date.
My best achievement to date would be that I have lost two jean sizes and that I measure everything I eat now. Its amazing how much I might have been eating compared to what I used to eat.
#3. How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days?
I will continue to track my food and exercise. And I will stay between my caloire range and continue to lose weight.

Hello team mates! My biggest change has been the loss (no tears here) of 10 lbs. While that it isn't earth-shattering, I would have been in much worse shape if I hadn't been been reading SP articles and learning how to make healthy choices away from home. I look forward to the next 30 days.

An a-ha moment for me was the visual of a plate full of food, showing the perfect balance of protein, fats and carbs. Seeing that good food impressed me with its simplicity. I was making this too difficult!

To continue my progress over the next month, I've joined a new SP exercise team and have tweaked my goals. I don't want to get into a rut.

Looking forward to our December reunion, Sharon

#1. What has been the biggest change for you since last month reunion?
Nothing big happened. I've been more consistent with my exercising and counting my calories.

#2. Share your "aha", "new", or "best" achievement to date.
I do at least 30 min of cardio every day and pilates a couple of times a week. I started walking 3 miles every week with a friend.

#3. How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days?
I will continue to watch what I eat and exercise every day. I feel good and my mood is also better.

#1 - Vigorous exercise has become automatic. I don't struggle to get in 5 45 minutes sessions of cardio in every week, and I'm enjoying incorporating interval training. The endorphins are so much fun!!
#2 - Meditation helps. It helps keep me focused and relaxed in the face of life's stressors.
#3 - I need to be more consistent, especially with eating. I fall off a bit here and a bit there, especially on weekends, and most especially on weekends when I'm away. I need to work on strategies that keep me on track but don't make me feel like I'm depriving myself of "treats". I also need to be more consistent in my meditation practice. Now that I'm feeling more nimble and stronger, I'm going to start varying my exercise routine by trying new things to keep it fun.

1 What has been the biggest change for you in the last month.

The biggest change is that I am actually sticking to it. Not everyday is a "perfect" day but I am not beating myself up for it. I pick myself back and up and start again.

#2 Share your "aha", "new" or "best" achievement to date.

I have had a couple...my first mile that I swam, walking my 5K, my first flip turn in the pool (overcoming the fear) and looking really hard at my eating - the why, how, what, etc.

#3 How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days.

I need to keep myself focused. I want to keep making good food choices, tracking my food and exercise and drinking my water.

1 What has been the biggest change for you in the last month.

I'm exercising more regularly. I think in the beginning I wasn't putting my heart into getting fitter/healthier, something seemed to click and I'm actually enjoying the ride now.

#2 Share your "aha", "new" or "best" achievement to date.

I realised that I was too fixated on hating the way I looked and felt. I have a much more positive outlook now and I think just eating more healthily has made me feel so much better in so many ways.

#3 How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days.

Carry on as I have been. Keep up the exercise, keep substituting more healthy snacks and meals into my day and keep up the positive attitude.

I can't believe that it has been 60 days already!

1. What has been the biggest change for you since last month reunion?
I don't think I replied to last months reunion, so I will just say that my biggest change has been my eating habits. I know I must drive everyone around me crazy. I tend to stop and say "Do you know how much Sodium is in that?" Sodium isn't even what my biggest concern is but I'm just so freaked out by what is put in processed food.

2. Share your "aha", "new", or "best" achievement to date.
I love yoga, I bought a trial at a new yoga place. The first couple of times were rough, but if you don't feel it, you aren't doing it right. I can now lace my fingers under my bridge pose and stretch them to my feet. I couldn't at the beginning. This made me so happy, I actually am lengthening my muscles!
.
3. How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days?
Well, since I have recently sprained my ankle & retorn some tendons in my foot, I am concentrating on upper body strength training. I am using a band to stretch the bad foot. I want to participate in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk on December 3rd with my son. I will also continue to educate myself about nutrition.

60 days! Wow.

#1. What was been the biggest change for you since the last month reunion?
The biggest change has been the way I eat over the weekends. I've figured out that low calorie ready meals are a good compromise for our weekend meals. They are lower in calories than ordering take out, and I still don't have to cook! This has made weekend eating more manageable for me without feeling like I have to 'work' and cook a meal.
Weekends are not as tough for me now.
#2. Share your "aha", "new", or "best" achievement to date?
I thought I exercise a lot, but, I tended to go jogging once a week maybe for a long time. I had to change that this month, and have been exercising for ten minutes daily (most days). These smaller blocks of exercise really add up.
#3.How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days?
I've set new goals and joined the '1challenge a day' team to keep me going. I'm focussing a bit more on exercise this month and getting into a daily routine with that.
I'm also working on my attitude - working on thinking like a thin person!

#1. What has been the biggest change for you since last month reunion?

There really hasn't been one big change from last month. I've lost and regained some weight since last check in and have since lost that weight and an extra pound. I'm noticing some definition but, nothing more than what I was noticing last month. I've started allowing myself treats, which has really helped me I think.

#2. Share your "aha", "new", or "best" achievement to date.

Walking away from the Halloween candy was definitely my big achievement. Before the candy season I actually treated myself with one fun size candy bar as a snack every once and a while; but, once the treat season really kicked in around my house I avoided it completely. I did this successfully and on Halloween night I gave myself a fun size snickers and then drank chai tea during the rest of my Halloween movie marathon. Super proud of that.

#3. How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days?

Exercising more consistently is a goal for this next month. I've exercised but, it's been sporadic and that's not what I want. I want small daily increments; something that I can turn into a habit and maintain after I've lost the weight. Not frantic weekend workouts just so I can say I exercised that week. I've got a good start on this and will continue it till I make a strong finish.

Remember to Love your Body!

I’m not sure that I should even be doing this as a 60 day review. Since I’d started losing a few months before joining SparkPeople, my answers will probably sound pretty strange. But I’ll play along anyway.

#1. What has been the biggest change for you since last month reunion?

Biggest change in the past 30 days would have to be that I am playing with the concept of maintenance. I actually still have about 5 pounds to go to hit the arbitrary goal that was originally set. But I am testing the waters so to speak – to figure out how much activity and how many calories will work as a base for maintenance. It is hard for me to give in and eat “extra” calories. First, because I am not usually hungry enough to want them. But also because I have become so accustomed to eating lighter that I have trouble convincing myself to have little treats or extras. I know, weird. It is also difficult for me because this is the first time in over 20 years that I have been at a healthy weight and I don’t want to risk giving in to 20 years of bad habits again. Especially with the holiday season upon us and all those tempting opportunities that will present themselves.

#2. Share your "aha", "new", or "best" achievement to date.

No laughing here… I suddenly realized one day that I now wash my feet in the shower without leaning against the wall or propping an elbow against the shower wall to keep from losing my balance. Not really sure when that change happened… Love it though – even it if does sound strange. What does it mean to me? Simply put, that I have developed a great deal more core strength that I would have thought possible at this point in my life.

#3. How will you continue to reach your goals over the next 30 days?

The same way that I have been handling the past 4 months – one day at a time. I am not on a diet. I have changed my lifestyle. I am an active person. I drink between 9 and 15 cups of water a day. I eat plenty of fruits & vegetables. I prepare about 99% of my meals at home – primarily from fresh, unprocessed foods. I still love to cook and bake as much as ever; I just cook and bake differently than in the past. I am happier and having more fun that I can remember in many, many years. I am not about to change things up other than to eat more soup and less salad as the weather keeps getting colder. Maybe. Come January/February, however, I may have to trade in the ‘5 mile daily minimum’ walks for something that won’t cause me to risk a slip and fall injury or frostbite

Biggest change: kept exercising and eating sensibly even though we were on holiday in Fiji and I had an injury as a result of hitting a car when riding my bike and having the flu. Managed to keep focused and exercise sensibly rather than my normal MANIC effort which get me undo.

Best Achievement: Stabilised at 81.5 kg down from 86kg and now ready to push on with the next step

How will I continue to reach my next goal: Consistent small steps and continue to measure my progress

One step at a time, that is how Everest was conquered.
