I have completed the first month of joining SP, I have not checked my weight or waist yet but most importantly, my lifestyle has changed. Even when I feel tired, internally I feel urge to walk and exercise. I put on my shoe and ufff go.

I really see SP as major lifestyle changer for me....

I'm beginning to find that it's all about what I'm thinking rather than what the scale is telling me. Today at work I was running around with a class of 6 year olds and actually keeping up! I could feel my muscles working.
I love that we can create other goals here at sparkpeople that are not all weight related - because it is a life-change, not just a weight-change!
Congrats on all the inches lost! And all the positivity!! emoticonemoticon

This thread was very encouraging to me. Although my scales are slow, my goals are good, my walking and exercises are getting done each day, and it helps when someone makes the comment, "You're looking good today." SP is more than just a few numbers on a scale!

That's great news. Congrats. Has it been that long already that we have been here. Gosh I guess it has been since Labor Day. So I have struggled with my 5 lbs of weight loss myself but also have hypothyroidism so that's not a shocker to me. The weight comes off its just slower. The one thing I can say is that I believe I have made lots of progress even though it doesn't show on the scale as much. My Jeans are actually fitting better already. I am drinking mostly water. (something that I hardly ever drank before starting spark) I bought some vitamins yesterday to help me feel great. And I have started to use my treadmill instead of leave it sit in my livingroom to collect dust. So these small things we can set for ourselves is going to help us to reach our goals, Maybe it won't show on the scale tomorrow or even in 2 weeks or a month but in the long run it will show. Just keep working.

I'm not a slave to my scales. So when I do not see a change on them, I ask myself some questions. Have I followed my Spark program correctly and completely? yep Water? yep Soda? nope Exercise? yep (and then some).

So check it out! I have lost 10.9 inches over all! It would be 12.9, but my calves and upper arms increased. Proof that my workouts are, well, WORKING!!! WooHoo a million times!

I have decided to weigh-in once a month because I do not appreciate any negativity, not even from my bathroom scales.

I'm on day 18 of my health streak! I feel Great and people are noticing a change in me already! Great!
