#1-My Dad died at the age of 43 of a massive heart attack. He struggled with controlling his weight his whole adult life. I am my father's child and I've finally decided to take control of my health and my weight so that I don't die at such a young age.
#2-I need to be the example for my overweight 13 year old son. This is what brings me to.....
#3-My son and I signed up for a program called the Hernando Health Experience. It's a 12 week program of weight loss and healthy living. Ages *13 and up can sign up AND whoever loses the most percentage of weight and inches in waist could win up to $1,000. It's a win-win situation for us!
#4-I think there is an athlete inside me. I've just never met her. We recently started riding our bikes on our local trail and I Love Love Love feeling the wind hit my face as I go and sometimes I imagine that I am running. Maybe one day. Right now, I couldn't run for more then 10 seconds without feeling like my chest is going to explode. Tried c25k...NOT happening at this point. One day.
#5-All of you SParkers!! I love looking at people's spark pages and blogs. It really keeps me motivated. I will be on this site every day to help keep that motivation. Thank you for that!!
I'm done rambling now!
p.s.-Let's all motivate each other and hold each other accountable :-)

There are risks and costs to a program of action. But they are far less than the long-range risks and costs of comfortable inaction. -John F. Kennedy
