Sorry Rolly is having so many problems with eating and that they can't help hi when he went to the hospital. hope once the hoildays are over and they can do more testing they will have answeres for you and a plan of care. Praying that things improve for both of you.
Gloria I am so sorry about Rolly. They did a scope I think it was on my husband and also a friend of mine has a narrow esphogus which makes swallowing difficult. My husband had to have pureed food and then it was still difficult for him to swallow. That is why I went to feed him dinner every night as they didn't give him time to swallow his food.

Gloria, thanks for checking in! I'm so sorry that Rolly had to go to the hospital but they couldn't do anything for him. I am praying for you both. I hope that he adjusts to the liquid diet and that he will have better days. (You too.)
Please take care of yourself, we love and miss you!

I'll try to keep my update short. Rolly went to the hospital Tuesday night at 8, by ambulance. He got put in a wheelchair in the hallway in ER and nurse who checks you in said they can't do anything for him so he came back home by 11, without even seeing a doctor!
Yesterday whenever he tried to eat, the food would not go down then after a few minutes, he heaved the food up! This morning, same thing so we went to our family doctor and he thought it might be his esophagus. He also told me that Rolly has gallstones but they were hoping they wouldn't bother him! So he has put him on a liquid diet until a specialist can check these things by doing a scope, etc. He is depressed from not sleeping and from so much pain all the time, so he's going to be put on something for depression too.
It seems like we go from bad to worse but hopefully we'll get back to "better" in time!
He doesn't understand the liquid diet, he brings a banana to me and asks can he have that? I told him just the Boost for Diabetics drinks plus broth, jello, puddings . . . I have to keep my eye on him to see that he doesn't get into solid food.
So that's an update about my husband . . . and me, I'm up and down daily but I work at not staying down. I just don't have anything but illnesses to talk about right now, so I'm not good at posting.
Still unable to get back to sparks, sorry. Rolly is having a dickens of a time with his sleep problem and even woke me up at 4 this morning just to sit with him! Plus, we found out yesterday that another beloved close family member still has cancer and nothing can really be done for him. A lot of stress piling up right now. I cannot concentrate on anything except my family.
I do come in and read when I can, I'm sorry but I just don't feel up to writing posts.
