Our weekend is going to be insanely packed, but I'm also super excited! My son is doing the kids run, we're hitting the expo, and the day of the race is going to be packed with fun! I'm planning to run this puppy at a 12 minute / mile pace, and starting in the appropriate corral for that, but we'll see!
Didn't actual do a long run over the week, there was this really cool local 1/2 marathon, over the weekend call the River corridor classic, once I google the course I KNEW I had to run it. Most of it was through a metro park, just beautiful run. I'll get back to the long run next weekend. At this point I'm just taking it easy on the run, not trying to push, or do any speed runs. All my focus right now it on running form, and core works.
Any plans to meet up Saturday? (29-Oct 2011). Right I'm planning on renting a bike and try to check out the course around the plaza, not sure about crossing the river. Then late afternoon going to the expo. Anyway if anyone is interest in little bike ride Saturday let me know.

Just did my last long run yesterday, 20 big ones (ok, not as impressive at the 28 that some people will be doing!). What a huge sense of relief I feel! I'm going to get the next two weekends back! Legs are dog-tired, and I am so ready for taper mode. Counting down until the big day!
Sorry I have been away for awhile but hopefully life is settling down. I hope everyoneis hanging in there with the training for the marathon. Dont beat yourself up if you miss a workout or two or youo need to slow down due to the heat. YOU CAN DO IT
