Ready to lose those pounds?!
We are going to start our 21 mile walk around Lake Geneva on Saturday September 17th, 2011.
We will be departing at 8:00 am at "Chuck's" at 392 Lake Street, Fontana, WI 53125. There are parking meters so please be prepared to pay. They do take credit cards. Or you can park at The Abbey Resort across the street for free. Please be here early because we will leave at 8:00!!!
Between noon and 1 (depending on the pace of the walkers) we will stop at a resteraunt at Button's Bay for lunch: N2062 S Lakeshore Dr, Lake Geneva, IL, 53147. This is also a good half way point for people who don't want to do the full walk.
We will finish our walk between 5pm and 6pm (depending on pace of walkers) and finish with celebratory beers (carbs will be needed after such a long day of phsyical activity).
RAIN OR SHINE.
I highly recommend you bring the following items:
- a water bottle or two (you will be able to refill it at the local eateries).
- high protein snacks or fruit.
- extra socks
- some experts recommend switching sneakers half way through walk.
- hats/suncreen if it's sunny
