Congratulations Chica! Keep up the good work. It won't be long until you're back where you want to be.

Will be another month before I can step on a scale again. I'm trying to be careful as I don't want to end up gaining weight due to lack of mobility thanks to breaking my ankle. Maybe I'll even manage to come out of this with a loss! I sure hope so.

I gained 1 lb this week but thats ok. I had a wonderful vacation..Even had a few margeritas. So I can complain. Back on track this week.

This week was a good week...down 1.8 lbs total and went down almost 2 dress sizes. Was in size 16 now loose 14 and really TIGHT 12 but they zip:) Its strange how it just seemed to show up all of the sudden in my cloths even though I have been loosing about a pound a week consistently

So sorry you are having to deal with all of this. I hope that you are able to find something you are allowed to do which you find enjoyable and which doesn't cause any further pain.
Being in pain is so draining, physically, mentally, AND emotionally. I hope things get better for you.

In another note......

Back to walking and soon to pilates.

doctor told me absolutely no more high impact exercise because it will continue affecting my already protruded herniated discs (cervical - neck and lumbar - lower back). I saw the pictures of the latest MRI and it got worst, first no wonder the increase in pain I am having lately and in my left leg and left shoulder and it does not look anything good, I broke in tears at the doc office.

My mood and happiness went from 10 to 2-3 and spent all day Monday sad and watery eyes. It is hard when you want to make changes in your life and your workout schedule and this happens and now have to make a 360 degree change and slow down and look for other alternatives.

Happy Thursday!

A little bit sodium bloated, just 1/2 pound up and just for 3 reasons, 1 - didn't went to workout yesterday during lunch time or evening kickboxing classes, 2-DH took me out for dinner to "celebrate" I do not what Secretary Day!, and to try this restaurant which I am going to make a complaint on Yelp as well; the place has a weekly special and on Wednesday is steak for $12.95 I believe.

DH was nagging me for a long time to go to the place and I was like no feeling like it until I bend my arm and say yes, maybe it was the wrong day or what but the behavior of certain people, the noise and part of the food taste and presentation was not worth the visit. 3- low water intake to flush the sodium of the food I ate for dinner (1/2 crab cake) and need to add #4 - lack of a good sleep.

I've been going to bed very late lately, by late, for me is after 8ish-9pm when I supposed to be in bed by 7:30 and asleep by 8pm as the latest and for the last two weeks been in bed yes but falling asleep after 9:30is-10pm either because I am playing with my celphone - solitaire or DH has the darn tv on and loud and studying at the same time, I am telling him that he is getting deaf and just won't admitted.

To the Good News - Almost 4 days of chocolate-craving-free!!!!! woohooo!!! it feels so good.

One of the attorneys brought to the office fine chocolate bars and fig filled biscuits all from France. I saw the chocolate and maybe it was good and natural but didn't had that feeling of try them, but the fig filled biscuit, oh my emoticon ....those little things were SO DANGEROUSLY GOOD, that I shoved not one or two but 5. I ate 3 more this morning.

I know how hard it is to keep on track when health issues derail you. Especially if they prevent you from being able to exercise. I hope you feel better soon and are able to slowly get back to exercise so you can get to where you want to be.

I stop posting my weight! It has dramatically increased to the point that at this point I feel uncomfortable. The pain, bothersome do to the herniated disc, the painkillers to ease the pain, the lack of exercise and eating lots of chocolate during this process has not been easy.

Looking forward to start "all over" again this time in small stages and increase little by little until I feel "healthy" and back to reality again!

50 lbs and 5 sizes down. I've been using a food scale that I got for christmas a lot more often instead of measuring cups. It's pretty slick!

Same as me, going up 1/2 pounds going down 1/2 pound.

Doing very good with the daily exercises! Tomorrow back to the routine, if weather permits!!!

Gods_serenity - can you make changes on your eating habits/style, can you add certain foods or eliminate them? also watch the sodium intake and carbs during the dinner. Drink tons of water keep yourself hydrate.

I went from drinking sodas all the time, to drinking only one every few weeks. The few times I would drink the soda, I would almost chug it. I am going to track everything, including the soda, and will aim for it to be within my range.
I was also thinking that I would only allow myself a soda on days in which I have reached my 8cups of water or fruit juice. At work, I will drink water, but on weekends I might add in some fruit juice (since I forget to eat fruit for snacks while zoning out on my computer). I have to see how well things go for awhile. If I go out to eat (restaurant or fast food), I will still just get water.
Yesterday, I had 8 cups of water by the time I left work. I opened a soda to drink with dinner, and I did not even finish it before bedtime. I put 10oz on the tracker, but I think I drank less than that, like around 8oz.
I was a little above my range, but I am going to spend time just getting used to tracking for awhile. I will start thinking about my range, and meeting it, but I will not be upset if I do not meet it for awhile.

Kat ...... be very careful. Starting the soda a day 'because it makes you feel good' is what we are trying to stop. It took me a long while to break that thinking so I could lose and hopefully maintain. If you do it , track it and be sure it is within your maintenance calories if you can. I'm working on staying within maintenance right now myself. I wanted to eat the entire dinner when we went out but knew that 'false happiness' only lasted a short time and then I'd be angry I gave into it.

Don't give up , take one day at a time. While you are cleaning do squats, etc. I was wanting to work out this week so badly , but day to day I'm not sure when dad w/ be transported so I'm sitting at hospital for 10 hours so she can try to get some sleep w/o one eye open trying to watch him.

I can't make any plans at all for myself and don't know when I'll be able to. I keep going between being angry at stopoing my entire life for them and angry at myself for feeling selfish. They will win out because they would be there for me and I"d do anything for them. Both are justifiable feelings but doesn't make them any easier. I'm a planner and nothing can be planned so it makes it more tough for me.

I'm afraid the longer I"m away from working out , the harder it will be to get back (I forced myself to get on elliptical yesterday (hated it, but did it) lol. I knew I'd feel better afterwards and I did. First week in 5 months I hadn't worked out.

If you don't love yourself....how can you expect others to.

Boyfriend is able to walk without assistance.
I am not motivated to work out at all. I am going to focus on cooking, cleaning apartment, and getting back to 8cups of water while at work. I am also going thinking about always having 1 soda per day. It is something I really enjoy. I pretty much cut it out for weeks, but right now I need to feel good. I will stick to only 1 soda within a day, and will try for 8cups of water before I have the soda.

Wow, I really need to learn to MAINTAIN. We do not have a lot of height to hide our pounds!

I'm just focusing on being CONSISTENT....one pound per week is my short term goal. I try to remember what one pound and five pounds of fat looks like in lard to realize that these pounds coming off my body really make a difference. Slow and steady wins the race!

I feel good about my plan, but I know progress always feels way too slow when you are motivated to get to your final prize...the goal weight! I try to focus on how eating, providing healthy meals and how exercise make me feel! I blog and talk to others on here about everything. That's how I make it through.

It is not easy ladies, but we have to take one day at the time. Taking snacks with you is the best and healthy option and always drink water. Drink coffee if you like to start your day, get energy or calm your hungry.

Katrick ......... I understand completely. My dad is in hospital and not doing well. This is the first time since August that I haven't worked out all week. I'm struggling to keep from going back to the comfort food.

I'm currently working on maintance. I decided this is real life and if I want to make this work I have to learn to do this. I come home at night and try to log in the food to give me an idea. I eat "ok" now, but take snacks with me to the hospital. I had pizza, but one slice only and water . I"ve been at hospital 7 hours a day each day since last Sunday.

Long road but I've decided this is a lifestyle to keep me healthy and gorging myself isn't going to help me any. If I don't lose I'm ok , I'll just maintain. Blogging does help.

I am not on track at all, and I am afraid of weighing myself. Monday, my boyfriend was hit by a car while he was on his motorcycle. For the past 4 days, I have not tracked. I have not exercised, and I have just not even tried. I bought a stability ball and resistance bands during the weekend. I tried them out and was going to start using them, but I am focusing on my boyfriend at the moment.
I do not know who all reads my blog, so I decided to give yall a brief update about my progress and what is going on. My progress is temporarily stopped but I will get back to it at some point. I want to make sure I get my boyfriend walking without a walker or assistance. I figured we can start walking around the apartment complex, and then we will both get in exercise. But for now, I am focusing on him.

I kept my weigh ins on the same day, at around the same time (plus or minus an hour). I recently decided to change but I do not like the change. I am going back to the time/day I was doing for 10 weeks. I also need to get a real scale instead of using Wii Fit.

I hope you feel better. If it is a head/lung thing, some exercising can help, but if it is a stomach thing you definately need to not workout. Working out can help the lungs breath a little better but it causes too much stress on the body for anything else.

I have been high on calories, but currently I do not think I have gone absolutely horrible (not including sunday). Sunday was horrible, monday was in range, and the past 3 days have been a little high. I have tried to track to the best of my knowledge. Currently it shows 2100-2300 for the past 3 days. Thus, I can say I have been keeping below 2500, which shouldn't result in a lot of weight gain. I am thinking static, but we will see next monday.

Thanks for the well wishes. Still feeling drained after going through influenza followed immediately by a bad case of strep. All the other symptoms are gone fortunately. My sister-in-law was also sick around the same time and she too is still feeling drained, so I think it has something to do with whatever virus we caught that just takes time to recover fully from.

I was determined to NOT gain weight this year during the holidays (Halloween through New Years). Only a week left to go and so far I have NOT gained!!!! I think I actually lost a little bit. Haven't exercised since I've been battling some illnesses - nothing serious, just draining. I'm on the mend now and hope to be back to normal by the new year, so I can get back on track with exercise.

You need to pick a day and certain time and just stick to it. Your weight will flux daily and certain times of the month. I just always weigh first thing in the am (before eating and drinking and after going to bathroom) . It just seems more accurate to me and I can do it before I head to the shower

I have weigh in tomorrow (numbers looked good this am) hope it is good tomorrow too. lol YOu never know. lol.

Happy Christmas Eve to Everyone!!

I did another weigh-in when I got home last night, and compared it to the monday weigh-in from 2 weeks ago. Between the 2 weeks, it was static. I like the weights from Monday nights better. They are lower than sunday mornings. I think I will go back to monday night weigh-ins.

I eat so many small meals now that I ate a large dinner (larger than normal) and I felt miserable. lol NOt used to that. My stomach has finally shrunk !

I have made poor choices in my food/drinks. Last night I had a really big meal, of my absolute favorite food, and alcoholic beverage.... 22 smoked buffalo chicken wings (twice as many as originally planned) and 2 shocktarts (mixed drink that tastes like my favorite candy), and a white lifesaver (another drink that tastes like the candy it is named for). Both drinks were created by my boyfriend, and thus you cannot order them by their name.

The scale showed a slight increase in weight, but there are a few things telling me it might be a bit wrong. I am continueing on without change for calorie range to continue testing things out.

Doing very good!
I had a Tuscan Grilled Chicken Salad yesterday for dinner, only ate half of the salad and two small pieces of chicken. It was grilled but I found it salty, maybe was me maybe was ok, who knows.

If I know what is for dinner, I will track it after lunch to see how much to actually get. However, I have no idea what dinner would be for Christmas Eve or New Years Eve.
New Years Eve, I know there will be drinking. In fact, I am planning on a lot of drinking (which is way out of the normal for me). Thus, during the day I will drink a lot of water, and try to remember water in between alcohol drinks in the evening.

At the beginning, I noticed I was low on protein too. Now, I try to always get things with protein in it. However, days in which I eat a salad for lunch is low on protein for the entire day typically. Hope you find things to add more protein CHICA.
