Sounds like summer will be busy for everyone!

Hope all have a great time.

Tricia I hope your "vacation" actually turns out as you hope, not just games.

Sara, the program for your youngest sounds awesome. You truly are lucky!

Oldest is working this summer. First job at Dairy Queen. Getting his driver's license.
Youngest summer is just packed! He's in sort of a group therapy to help him discuss feelings and deal with some of his behavioral issues from past life with BM. That's three times a week in the mornings. Then Summer Rec most of the afternoon and scattered in there are a bunch of field trips that he'll be taking with his daycare. I don't know what I would do with out them. It is a program that is actually sponsored through his elem. school so they are right in the school building. They take care of everything all the summer rec. (getting to & fro) all the group therapy, plus take them on these great trips to zoos, farms, mini-golfing, storybook land, camping, museums, etc. Couldn't be happier with it. It's very structured with projects, reading time, cooking, and our boy needs the structure. He's actually really blossomed with the structure.

That's right! I'm Awesome and so are you!

Our kids (the two who live with us) are so busy this month. I think it'll slow down a little in July. The 13 y.o. right now has football conditioning 3 mornings a week plus he's on 2 baseball teams. One team has their last tournament this weekend, and the other one just runs through the first weekend in July. The 12 y.o. has baseball and track. Between the two, he has practice or a game or meet every day of the week except for Fridays. Our "family vacation" will be for his final baseball tournament. His coach signed them up to play a huge week-long tournament in Panama City Beach, FL. Mixed feelings about this - love that we're going to PCB for a week, hate that it's for a baseball tournament. I'm hoping for lots of downtime.

Anyway, they'll both be done with baseball by July 4th. Football for the younger one starts the end of July, and track goes through August. So that's pretty much our summer.

Our oldest is with her mom almost all the time. She was supposed to get a job for the summer, but waited too long and now everywhere she looks (if she has truly looked) has already hired for the summer. So I don't know what she's going to do with herself except have way too much unsupervised time at her mom's house (she's home alone for about 7-8 hours per day). She'll probably come over here for a few weekends out of the summer.

I was wondering what everyone has planned for the summer? What are your arrangements with the kids etc?

For me, my brother is getting married in July so DH and I will be going to the central coast of California for a mini vacation.

Unfortunately we will not be having the kids that much until the end of July probably. They are going out of state with their Mom to visit her aunt and uncle in Idaho.

Part of me is looking forward to some child free time since we have our oldest two basically all the time. But at the same time we sure are going to miss them.

So how about you?
